It's fun but too short. Like others said, it'd be nice to have more players and the chance to write your own cards.
My kids really enjoy this game. 10 and 6 at the time of the review. The wife and I have fun with it, but i feel its very limited in its possibilities. Would be cool to see updates and features!
I was notably excited to play this game with my kids. Unfortunately, the controllers aren't registering for my Oculus Quest 2. I've tried verifying file integrity, messing with SteamVR and Steam Properties controller based settings, reinstalling, etc..., but no luck. There's a post in the forums on this behavior where the Developer fields issues, but no activity on this item and lots of talk about how the Developers aren't actively doing anything with this title any longer. I don't have trouble with controller support on any of my other games, so I'm confident the issue is specific to this game. I've sadly been forced to request a refund without having had the opportunity to play what is likely a very fun game.
The 'multiplayer' is a bit of a stretch. I imagine that this game could be fun at partys, playing in a pass to play manner. It doesn't work the way jackbox works by connecting smartphones which I kind of initially assumed. It is literally 1 person in control and everyone just watches on the TV.
I was hoping it had online play so vr players could take it in turns to act but no feature exists. There arn't many cards and no way to add more so run out of content fairly fast.
Set up:
There isn't really much Instruction on how to set it up, assuming you link from steam to headset via link or cable. Automatically you see the acting booth in headset and audience on pc screen. You then need to cast your pc to a TV (or plug it in) so people can see the game from the audience perspective. I'm not sure if casting the headset to TV would work since that would mirror the booth. There is no instruction on how to do this and could be quite difficult for someone who just wants a quick plug and play experience at a social gathering.
Really wish this game allowed more than 4 players. I don't really see any reason to have a limit at all. Other than that it's a lot of fun.
Great party game and the sandbox mode is great for kids (or anyone who likes to put on puppet shows). The visuals are really well done and there's a lot of great thought behind all the interactions, like the "behind the scenes" view the puppet master has.
This game is a really cool Idea and the final product is also very well done, however I think this game is worth it on a sale (like the summer sale right now) until they add a few more types of animals, people, props...etc, Overall really fun game to play with friends and a very well executed idea of sharades in vr.
Interesting game and looks beautiful in VR, could be better if player can create their own words.
Charades with paper puppets. Fun and some of the mechanics are pretty inventive. You need to show someone angry? Throw a paper doll on the screen and drag an angry face over them. They frown and their face turns red. You can drag props around the stage to make them "act". Tilt them over to "die," etc.
My family only played a couple of rounds, but I am looking forward to playing this with more folks.
Ending a game was a little abrupt. Unless I missed something, it just ended at the results. I had to manually close the application and restart for the next round
Fun! Played for about an hour straight with my fiancee, who rarely plays VR; and she seemed to really enjoy it. Think it'll be fun with a group over as well. Can't beat the price right now for under 4 bucks if you're looking for a decent local co op VR game.
Super-cute little sofa co-op concept. It's essentially just charades via puppetry, with some handy computer magic sprinkled on top. Adding dress-up and emotions to your little protagonists in the 90 second limit is all good, and then bouncing them around a set or dancing a handy prop is all suitably daft too. There seem to be a decent amount of interactions between the entities (I accidentally blew up my 'car advert' with what I thought would just be a cinematic explosion).
All of the game functionality (awarding points, handing over) is pretty slick, although it could probably do with even more manipulations within the scene itself (changing item / clothing colours etc). But I suspect given how cheaply I got this, and with the last update being in June, that dev has probably stopped now :|
Rating: 3.5
This game is quite a bit of fun... while the content lasts. Definitely worth buying on sale (<$10), but I question the full-price value unless/until customization options are present. If you plan to play with different friends, though, it's replayable. I bought it at 75% off and it was absolutely worth the price of admission. How much would you pay per hour of fun when going to an arcade? If it's more than a dollar, you've bought this game on sale. Definitely recommended when on sale.
Pros: Super-easy to pick up. Nice asynchronous play with other players in the room. Very cute, family friendly, fun all around. Good for 2-4 players.
Cons: Unskippable intermissions. Monitored audio cuts out when the headset sleeps, i.e. when you take the headset off, which it requires to move to the next player or during intermissions. Limited card selection. No ability to customize or even purchase additional content, so limited playability unless you're frequently showing it to new friends. Player limit is, well, limiting, but I suppose you could do teams.
TLDR: Buy if a sale drops the price to under $10. I got mine for under $4.
Great hot seat VR game.
Played with two sets of friends and both loved the experience. some are brand new to vr and picked up on the concept with ease.
The visuals are clean and clear in VR.
The vast amount options as puppeter are a bit overwhelming at first and takes a playthough to get accustom to all the features.
Our players mentioned a few things they wished they could do.
1: Ability to enlarge/shrink objects (the card was "whale" and was given the set peice of a fish, they kept trying to grab and streach the fish to make it bigger)
2: Change Colors (The ability to change object color, the card "Power rangers" came up and the player was tying to make the a group of ninja actors differnt colors)
3: More players (our group was large enough, we kept having to double up two or more players under one name card so everyone could play)
Hugely overlooked VR party game that simply deserves your attention, especially if you have kids. It's a steal at this price too.
Good concept. It could use some refining and extra features, as is to be expected from an early access game. Here's a few suggestions for the devs:
- The possibility to write our own cards. (This is a must have, in my opinion)
- The option to remove hints. The theme of the card appears on top of the screen after a few seconds. This makes it too easy to guess the card.
- Have a game mode where it's everyone for themselves (as opposed to 2 teams.) In this mode, points could be awarded both to the player who guessed the card and the player that puppeteered.
- More than 4 players would be great. Up to 8 players would be AWESOME.

Suggestions for huge improvements...
Scene building slots so you can save your carefully designed layouts in a show.
Lockable objects.
Some type of interactive hand puppet mode - so you can have a hand puppet that you can control the mouth of on each hand.
Use of headset mic to output in audio stream and possibly move main puppeteer mouth.
Music options
Recordable shows.
Puppet designer with more clothing and accessory options that you can save...

Great game, really fun and easy to get into. Wish you could do more than 4 players at a time.
Havent played a lot but already had some laughs and good moments. The price is very good for the content. Recommended!
Easy to play local co-op puppet theater! Supports hot-seat local multiplayer matches with the spectators viewing on your monitor - while the VR player sees their avatars viewing the show :) You try to puppet-mime the clue you've been given, if anyone shouts out IRL what you're acting out, you throw the card to their avatar for the point. Very simple concept but more highly polished than the majority of VR titles out there - surprisingly so!
The only improvements I can see that the game could use are more puppet options/interactivity/combinations between multiple puppets, and the possibility of more clue variety. Some of the clues are too easy and you can guess in a couple of seconds, like movie names - while others are quite obscure like certain emotions/feelings. But despite that, great game - does exactly what it sets out to do. Lots of fun in a group of 4.
This game is honestly a blast to play with friends. It's a good time all around.
Such times include but are not limited to:
When you just want to convey that your horse needs cleaning but make chemical waste instead

I did not have the chance to play this with friends, but god damn it.
This game is really polished, the content is limited, but they still offer a lot of "puppets"
It also has Bot support if you wanna try it out for yourself. I hope they keep adding new stuff and maybe more gamemodes, i think this game has a lot of potential.
