It was first year in high school. The budding of summer.
Fusa Konno met a shut-in girl named Seri.
Persecuted by her yearning eyes, her heart gradually opened...
Awkwardly, the two girls gave each other a hug, joined hands, and looked into their eyes.
They learned a comfort of being with and touching someone they love,
and wanted to know more about each other...

Man, how I wished for a mixed rating. This game has pretty cute visuals and a neat story but the ending, it just set up for something better but it never got to that point that would made this a better story, I can't go much deeper without spoilers other than it was a disappointing ending.
Steam Deck Experience: Playable
It ran fine. You'll have to stick with the mouse controls or touch screen.
A small warning: Don't open Steam overlay or the game crashes on PC.
A short and fairly simple visual novel, but still very sweet and wholesome. It had a bit of a roller coaster, but the outcome really was a great wrap up to the story. I really wish there would have been a little bit of story after the credits that caught up with the pair a little down the road, but the story didn't need it. Overall, I really enjoyed it and I actually liked the fact that the story stayed PG. Not every story needs a sex scene.
Sadly, I'm not quite sure if it is worth $10. It was a great story, but it still is very basic and very short. I mean the whole game is under 120 MB and took me less than two hours to read. If it's on sale and/or you just really want to spend some money, go for it. If you're trying to get the most bang for your buck, look elsewhere.
I recommend this VN.
It's a rather lengthy yuri slice of life (as you could guess from the title). It goes into more details and monologues of the main character and shows what it's like to be a closet gay (pardon me for the crudeness). If you just want to read some yuri without too much conflict or any other action/comedy you'd see in most visual novels, then this should be up your alley.
TL;DR : Two girls with no parents alone by themselves, Seri fell in love with Fusa in first sight. In the end Fusa helped Seri over her home alone trouble and confessed her love back to Seri after she does first in a roleplay session. They vows that one day they'll be forever together in the future, and went to school.
Because the game's too short, the relationship development felt rushed and their background is not very clear. But it's still fluffy and probably lewd I guess
Turn off the music, and play something else in the background. Worth 3-5 hours of reading.
The embodiment of 'I feel lonely and wish for sudden unconditional love." It sounds childish but this is what this barebone and bittersweet VN has to offer during its 2-3h kinetic read.
Note many reviews indicate how the second main character, Seri, is forceful at times towards the protagonist, Fusa. Duly noted, but this is fiction and should be considered as such. This VN is as light as low fat tap water can be...
Was Fun, Kinda slow in some parts and repetitive dialogue, few typos, very cute and sweet
some lines were super smart and touching. Read in like 4 hours. Buy on sale.
I wish the game was longer. Because everything about it was so adorable! You hardly see any yuri games with just fluff. I hope more games like these will come out soon
- There's no story. It's just two girls hanging out in one girl's apartment.
- The art is average at best.
- The game is only about an hour long so you don't really get to know (or care about) the characters.
- The soundtrack consists of one or two tracks looping in the background.
- There are no adult scenes for people who might be expecting that.
I know that there's a lack of yuri games on Steam, but you're still better off skipping Lonely Yuri.
Hopefully we'll get some more and better options in the future.

This is a neutral review for the following reasons below.
Lonely Yuri is a kinetic visual novel by Night-time Sheep and DLsite falling into the genre of romantic comedy with yuri content. The story focuses on the relationship between two schoolgirls set in a modern Japanese era. Seri Aeba is always absent from class, and her teacher entrusted her classmate Fusa Konno to bring the lesson notes she had missed in class to Seri's residence.
As the title suggests, this visual novel explores the yuri relationship between two schoolgirls, and has a number of beautiful and attractive artwork featuring Fusa and Seri in each other's arms that serve as the main highlight of this visual novel. The game also has pleasant background music to match the sweet romance themes throughout the story.
However, this game is beset with several cons. First, there are some reviews that have complained of the English translation. Agreeably, the translation is rough although most parts of the story are still understandable.
Second, the story progression in this game is far too short never developing any meaningful relationship between Fusa and Seri properly. An example of the rushed pacing is when Fusa went to Seri's house to deliver the notes at the beginning of the story, she fell asleep and already ended up being held and kissed by Seri when she woke up. Most of the other scenes later on write about Fusa spending her time with Seri, and by the time Fusa is ready to move forward with her new relationship with Seri, the story is over, all in about an hour. @_@
Third, the ability to take screenshots through Steam does not work for this game, so you can expect the Steam community hub to be barren in comparison to other novels that does support this standard feature.
Overall, I find that the price of this game to be a bit high even after discount at $5 because the story is too short, lacks voice acting or theme song, and doesn't develop the character relationships properly. I understand this is a doujin (indie) production, but I would still like to see this romantic comedy have a wider variety of events such as being able to see how their relationship goes once they have officially started dating, or even showing Seri making an exception to attend class with Fusa, and so on. Furthermore, this game doesn't have Steam achievements or trading cards to highlight the artwork as it is the main feature of this game, which further reduces its appeal preventing me from recommending to purchase for yourself.
In spite of everything, I still hope this game will qualify for Steam trading cards and have Steam achievements in future, and the developer as well as the publisher will continue to localize and bring more 13+ and 18+ (I can only hope!) yuri visual novels to an English audience. Lonely Yuri is nevertheless a sweet romantic comedy with lovely yuri themes and artwork. If this game could expand further with an appropriately priced DLC or free update, improve on the English translation, and have a more attractive price, I might be more comfortable with recommending the game in future.

not blowing my mind - it mostly reads as cliched and desperately unrelatable even after seri's awkward and incoherent (not to mention non-consensual) advance on fusa. it's hard to get any real chemistry between the characters when the whole thing moves at a pace that gives them *no time at all* to warm up to each other, which leaves the romance feeling forced. the whole thing kinda feels like an excuse to regurgitate played-out yuri tropes with characters whose motivations are basically illegible - for this kind of slice-of-life yuri thing to work, it has to be *lifelike*. not necessarily realistic, but it needs a life of its own. instead, it just forces a few characters with only superficial similarities into a few plot scenarios - i didn't get far, but the foreshadowing and the name seem to imply they're both lonely, have problems making friends, difficulties with their family, etc. again, it's pretty clumsy writing. would have refunded if i didn't buy this when it was on sale months ago.
edit: also feel it's worth side-eyeing the "steaminess" other reviewers are commenting on when these are like, high school students lol
This is a short, fully linear visual novel about two extremely lonely teenage girls that unexpectedly find happiness in each other. It's cliched, cute and very intimate, with a lot of scenes that are maybe not what you would typically consider fanservice (it's all very tame visually), but rather steamy nonetheless.
The one thing you should be warned about is that it opens with the heroine going after the protagonist in a very questionable way and the consent on her part stays pretty dodgy pretty much for the whole first half of the game. It's pretty obvious this is an older yuri title, from the time these tropes were way less controvercial, so if you have a very low tolerance for that kind of borderline-abusive romance, you should probaby skip this one. It get much better and more interesting later down the line, but I can easily imagine this runing the experience for someone (and one of the top reviews here clearly presents that sentiment).
And for all yuri fans that can look past this issue, I still highly recommend checking this game out. In the end, it's quite a lovely and well-written doujin with a satisfying payoff to its story. The beginning might be somewhat rough, but there's plenty of fuzzy feelings and satisfaction to get out of it.
Welll What can I say Ik what was gonna Happen I mean title says it all lol 2 Girls are Madly in Love And wanna go further And by Doing that they will stop at Nothing From Having Good time. Thats it haha Loved the Short simple VN And its yuri I mean who doesnt love Girl on Girl Action right ^^ And as Always I Def recc this to Anyone who Is Fan Of Yuri Based VN Games.
Short, sweet, fluffy, it's not a visual novel for people who like great choices and multiple endings, nor is it for people who are language zealots (as the translation can be horrendous at times).
But, if you're like me, and you like girls being gay with each other, then you've got a real gem on your hands.
This is the cutest visual novel ever! Highly atmospheric and very cuddly yuri story.
It's not too long, just a couple of hours but it's not a downside at all.
I wish there were more visual novels like this one, it really did cheer me up.
I downloaded it before it even got on Steam and I just loved it. I noticed it here only during 2018's Summer Sale and I immediately bought it just to write this review. No refunds.
Highly recommend<3
Just buy this game to show my support. I read this visual novel a few years ago, and I love it.
English version has some translation problem though.
I've read Japanese and Chinese version before, and the Chinese translate ver. is much better than this Eng ver.
Anyway, みなかた sensai, thank you for this lovely yuri story!
Its a very cute story line albeit they really didn't translate all that well. Extremely short Static VN, I'd only recommend if its on sale.
Lonely Yuri is one of the fluffier Yuri VNs, no choices, very short but sweet and with superb character art by Sunao Minakata (Akuma no Riddle illustrator). Sadly it's really short and the translation has not been revised from the dlsite version as far as I can tell. The price tag is not justified if you weight time with price but it's still worth for a Yuri fan like me. I don't have high hopes for other translated yuri VNs by dlsite but buying this game on steam already made me glad.
It's not voiced (sadly) and as far as I know, the developers didn't do another yuri game which is a shame. But I hope to see more Yuri VNs like this in the future since we definitely need more comfy/fluffy (SFW) Yuri VNs.
I got about five minutes in before I got creeped out enough that I stopped playing. The "love interest" of the game comes off as a total creeper who can't respect people telling her "no". To give an example (spoilers for first 5 minutes of the game): the "love interest" kisses the protagonist on the lips when she's asleep, even though they're complete strangers,
and then when the protagonist is visibly uncomfortable and upset with it (she even yells at her), the love interest just keeps pushing for physical intimacy anyways. It's one thing in fictional romance to have someone who flirts a lot or makes big romantic gestures, but the "love interest" just comes on way too strong without any warning and makes it deeply uncomfortable to play.
If that kind of thing in fiction doesn't bother you, go for it, but it just wasn't for me. Art and music was OK.
Nice flow up until the knee-kissing scene. I just had to stop reading since, truthly, I get angry when flow doesn't feel right. The lack of progress in that scene just doesn't sit well with me. Fuba wants to know what Seri is hiding, but just stays complacent. This makes the story's flow feel random.
The story was going fast, until it screeched to a halt; like, going from one end of the gears in a manual car to the other end. It doesn't feel nice. If the story went at a slower pace or had better flow-variation (being more elegant when changing gears), the scene may have suited, and overall the experience would have been better.
It didn't help that the language was confusing, in that the scene made it hard to understand what both characters were doing and what they desired.
I read it off DLSite a few years back. It HAS NOT been re-translated (well, at least) as far as I can tell, so the prose and grammar are abysmal. Also, I belive it shares save files with the DLSite version.
Lonely Yuri is a very cuddly, intimate, and atmospheric kinetic novel about... yuri. It's a bit somber and "take-it-easy" with the tone, even as the two girls progress way faster than they should, starting with one of those famous sleep-kisses that were excessively common in romance anime/manga, even yuri, until recently.
It's all-ages, mind, but it does read a bit like a nukige. Unlike a nukige, however, it's not so much a frenzied titillation as it is heartwarming. And a little bit spicy, I guess. I mean, they're like, explicitly 15/16, yo. That's not an appropriate thing for a Twenty-Two-Year-Old Adult Woman to be saying.
heads up: it's short. three hours or less. If you can't justify a $9-10 price tag on Steam for less than three hours, (haha <3 HA) wait for a sale or buy it off DLsite to support the creators more directly.
