sun is neon
Didn't actually liked this game , but it's a very fast game to boost your completion stats if you are into that .
The game takes about 5 min to get all the achievements . So if you want to play something fun this is not the one you want
Neon Sun is a "template" flip. The "developer" filled out a basic template in the craptastic ClickTeam Fusion (a blight on gaming), changed the name/reskinned a couple of things, and put it on Steam as if it was their own game.
It's an ultra basic soldier attack/defense game where you click one of three buttons to make your troops march towards enemy troops. Whoever throws out the most troops wins, that's all there is to it. Like Plants vs Zombies but with all the strategy, tactics, decision making and graphics removed from it. Shallow, pointless shovelware from known Russian asset flip scammers.
CSM/W.T.B. have shown a repeat pattern of unethically dumping other people's work onto Steam as a cheap, nasty cash grab, through this account or through closely linked/alt accounts. Here's some examples so you can see for yourself:
- "Jetpack Dog" = 2D Endless Runner Game Kit developed by SG Studio
- "Happy New Year Clicker" = Clicker Game Example developed by Some Packs Team
- "How To Be Best Russian Game Developer" = Clicker Game Example developed by Some Packs Team
- "Too White Basketball" = Dude Basket developed by Feat Games
- "Kawaii Rainbow Portal" = Infinite Jump Color Game developed by Puppeteer
- "Cut The Ex-Girlfriends" = Cut The Wood developed by Mamadou Cisse
[*] "W.T.B." = RGB a casual one touch game developed by MAD Entertainment
Taking this shovelware seriously as if it was a genuine attempt to make a game, it doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard.
A choice was made to use obsolete, decades old retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result.
There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the low quality graphics.
The implementation here is of such poor quality, the developer couldn't work out how to make the game display in fullscreen, it only runs in a window.
The controls can't be customised because the game has such a dumbed down, simplified interface that it's just point and click stuff like a browser/Flash game. The fact that the interface is this dumbed down might be seen as a problem in itself, however... this is a fairly shallow experience if you're the kind of gamer that likes to play games with deep, rich control schemes and interaction. You'll get none of that here.
Some of the defects in the game can be attributed to the choice of using the Clickteam Fusion game engine/toolset - the "No-Code" construction kit that "Anyone can make games with!!". Including, you know, people who aren't game developers. Which is a problem. This is a very poor quality toolset sometimes used by amateur developers as it's free (so they don't have to pay for GameMaker Studio) and doesn't require advanced game development skills, but unfortunately has very limited capabilities (it's arguably worse than GameMaker Studio). Just as you can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear, you can't make a great video game if you use a terrible engine.
These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game.
The poor quality of this game is reflected in the general public reception. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 4 players. That's right, only 4. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 50,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in the game is to be expected. Gamers just didn't take this low quality game seriously, and for good reason.
It's also important to note the "developer" here has connections to a number of shady Russian asset flippers and review manipulators who show an organised pattern to scam and defraud gamers with fake reviews and asset flipping the work of others for profit. While reviews are about the games, gamers should be informed when developers act unethically. Whether these connections are the same developer using multiple accounts, or just working closely with other unethical developers, gamers should be warned about the harm to gamers by this developer and their associates. Buying games from unethical developers puts your money at risk.
Neon Sun is relatively cheap at $2 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, and the questionable ethical nature of the developer and/or their associates (as outlined above), this is impossible to recommend.

nice game
Good for achievements, good for themed achievements, bad if you want any serious gameplay, or more than some quick achievements, this wouldn't be what you're looking for. It's not the worst thing on steam, far from it, but it's not really worth the price unless you specifically want the achievements as a theme. It's worth it on sale if it's under a dollar. Bland, but playable, gets a pass from me. The plain saltless pasta of steam libraries.
Am I the only one who likes the music in this game?????????
2/10
A very simple game that just doesn't qualify to be payed for ,but easy achievements though

After playing Neon Sun for just over an hour, I can truly say this barely qualifies as a game. The music is the only redeeming quality of it, and even that gets boring very quickly. The game claims that the farther along you go, the more difficult it becomes, and that is simply not true. To test it, I decided to see how far I could get just clicking on the tank option and collecting the crystals that randomly appear. I made it to level 100, and the only reason I didn't make it farther is that I realized the difficulty never changed after the first ~10ish levels, and I would be going forever, so I quit. Nothing changes, nothing improves, it's just a cool background, a nice 5 second clip of music on repeat, and a pitiful amount of effort.
There's not a lot to it. A little more effort and it might have made it to a thumbs up, but it just doesn't quiite get there. I think it needs other elements added to it before it's bringing value to the table for most customers. Some games manage to be minimalistic, and still make the minimalism work in the context of the experience. In this case it just comes across as low effort; they crossed the minimal threshhold for 'gameness', the absolute lowest bar, and just called it quits. Don't get me wrong there are nuances to the combat in terms of trying to optimise resource usage to build up a stockpile for future waves, so there's definitely something here that the devs could have built around, but beyond that it's really just the base of something that needs built upon before it's ready for a store-front. Art style isn't amazing, but passable, and the retro aesthetic gives it a little bit of uniqueness which was the main thing that made me buy it (when it was on sale). I dig the retro thing they have going on.
A simple TD. What you see on the store page is what you get, for the price of only a dollar there are other games out there on steam that I would recommend that you could get for a dollar that are more entertaining, but you get what you pay for and that includes a dollar quality game. So don't be disappointed on the lack of content.
I wish there was more content to the game to give it more re-playability, such as a wider verity of things to spend your resources on instead of the three attacks. The game also lacks upgrades and different types of enemies but I feel like I got my moneys worth.
Probably the most decent game W.T.B ever made
Some very basic (linear) TD with little flaws. Somehow you can outsmart the opponents AI by letting them once reach your pyramid and after that run them over with your tanks. Other things in this game are just static and lead to instant boredom. Like missing upgrade options, no story, no leaderboards, no environmental influences (what is the rising sun good for?) Could be also running on an iPad.
epic awesome cyberpunk mini game xD
must have , easy achivments in 5min. :D
