Interesting visual novel. You get mugged and have to make a deal with a succubus... and well, part of that deal might be having sex with others... Anyway, dependant on your choices, you could end up with one of the girls, become an incubus, or end up the slave of the aforementioned succubus... do be careful...
Its okay ish, the art style is okay for the most part but its short and kind of boring to get through.
Following the previous title "Army Gals", and with pictures of one of the secondary characters from that game in the screenshots, this seemed like it'd be a good buy. However, while Army Gals had a compelling and fleshed out story, with plenty of choices and a dozen or so, Devil in the Details steals its basic premise from Highschool DxD, while providing a comparatively linear experience and only 5 endings. The game itself is also extremely short (I managed to get 3 of the endings in under 2 hours).
It's not like Dharker Studio can't produce good games, it's just that this isn't one of them. If you haven't already, go pick up Army Gals. But give this one a miss.

Devil in the Details {DitD} is a visual novel {VN} of a hentai nature. The Protagonist, Allan, is a male college student who is mugged and mortally wounded in a park. He is revived by a lovely woman, Akame, who happens to be a Succubus demon. In return for her saving him, Allan has to agree to a “contract” with the Devil with certain “details”.
It's simple, but perhaps not easy. All Allan must do is seduce 3 of the most poular Girls in the college in order to remove evil Demons that have possessed them. Failure is NOT an option ! Success will enable Allan to become a full-fledged Incubus ! Anything less ...
Some thoughts:
1) Avoid if you are a 100% Completionist; 4 broken Achievemnets
2) Decent game
3) Choices matter
4) Multiple endings
5) Definitely 18+, uncensored scenes.
DitD appears to be “abandonware” in that Dharker Studios has failed to respond to gamers about “broken” Achievements. DitD has 32 Steam achievements, but only 28 can be completed. One gamer looked into the program coding and determined that 4 of the achievements have faulty logic equations. Dharker has remained silent on the problem for several years.
Playing this game is like taking a multiple choice test you didn't study for.
There's no voice acting and story is both bad and thankfully short. Avoid.
Even with the superhuman powers of a sex demon women in this game still hate me (when I can find them at all) so Devil in the Details gets an A+ for realism. Also there are cartoon boobies in it. Good game!
Art is great and story is decent-ish, but the gameplay is entirely just guessing where people will be at what time, and you're likely wrong 75% of the time. I didn't meet a single one of the three target girls my first playthrough. Also four of the achievements are broken and impossible to earn so that sucks. Would be worth it if it were like a dollar but at current price it's super underwhelming
It's an exciting game, but it always seems like any choices you make will lead you to a thrust so you can not reach a good end.
i don't think this is one of their best visual novels. its pretty mediocre actually. its very short to get all of the endings and see all of the pictures minus one. i followed a guide and it didn't unlock the last one. the writing felt like they weren't fully there. scenes went pretty quickly so you didn't really feel close to any of the characters. a lot of dead end choices as well. music was meh. artwork was moderate. wait for it to be on sale.
game is actually quite hard due to it being a choice driven game but hey...something else is hard every time i load it up due to the nice fap material you get at the very beginning of the game.

might be the most fitting short description of this game.
The visual style is not horribly bad, but very simple and average ...
The looks of the images are slightly above self tought amateurs and on the very lower end of professional artists.
There are also very few and unimaginative "adult" scenes, basically you go from nothing to sex on every route without any kisses foreplay or whatever in there.
There are 3 major routes in this game and a fourth minor one (the sister of one of the major routes).
Achieving to finish at least one route on each playthrough is quite simple, but going to finish each route in one playthough is quite hard, because there is no real logical choice, but only trial and error to achieve this.
That said, the characters have little to no story and are quite unremarkable.
The text itself seemed to have been translated to english from another language. There are some errors in it or strange expressions, but its okay and tolerable, I have had far far far worse experiences when it comes to translation.
That said, dont go for this game, if you are into more story rich expiriences, because it will disappoint in that aspect.
If you are in it for the lewd, browsind deviant art is a far better and cheaper experience ...
I honestly enjoyed this VN. Sure, I was a bit annoyed that if you didn't pick the pathways exactly, your game would fail but by following the guide. The story was a nice read and I would suggest reading it.
It's an ok game. The only griped I have are that there isn't much depth you get with the girls, they seem very 2D (Pun not intended) which is unfortunate. A couple of the achiements (from what I have heard) are impossible to get. And by impossible I mean it literally. For some reason in the normal dialog options, one of the girls, Cheryll, is just a pair of floating eyebrows.
That said, the artstyle is nice, still a fun game, but I would honestly recommend getting it on sale.
The reason i cannot recomend this game is for 2 points.Point one the game does not give enough time to explore each girl without a perfect run.Point 2 the art while not being bad can be found better in free games.
Devil In The Details - Well, this is interesting, i suppose
DISCLAIMER: First off all, i have already played another Dharker studio VN that has the same art style as this called Army Gals and it is one of the best VN's i have read. I really enjoyed it, and since this VN not only has the same artstyle but also a character that originally appeared in the Army Gals VN, who is the best girl by the way, i am going to treat this VN the same way i treated Army Gals and compare them side by side.
Story
You are walking home one day in the park and suddenly gets stabbed and almost dies but a succubus comes and saves you. As a result you are now in debt to her, and the only way to repay her is by conjuring 3 demons that all reside in three different girls. Surprised? You shouldn't be. Your job is to conjure these demons and the only way you can do that since you are a succubus is....yes you guessed it.
Grammar
The grammar throughout the entire VN was rather good. I only found one typo and it wasn't even a typo, it was just a word that was missing from the rest of the sentence. Overall it had nice grammar...thankfully.
Length
If you only play through it once then the game can be finished in about an hour so it is really short for the price, but if you want to get all the routes and all the endings and 100% the game then you are probably looking at about 3-4 maybe 5 hours.
Visuals
This has the exact same artstyle as Army Gals which is a great thing because i loved the artstyle in Army Gals and i love the artsyle in this. It's just really unique and really pleasant to look at.
Conclusion
Overall the VN is nice enough, a bit pricey i must say, but if you can get it on sale i would recommend you get it. It's an enjoyable read, and as much as a lot of the choices you get in the VN are purely guess based and nothing else, i still thought it was alright.
The art is the same as a very good v.n. "Army Gals". The plot is ok. The v.n. is short. The worst thing about this v.n. is it is "guess what I am thinking" v.n. You need a walk through or use the process of elimination to get through it. It is like they tried to make it longer by making you guess blindly where to go and what to say. "Army Gals" is my type of v.n. with a murder mystery and and kidnapping and alot of plot and choices that you can do correctly from clues in the game and common sense. "Alexa's Wild Night" is my type of art as it abandon's the Japanese conventions. So in conclusion the plot is ok--the writing is ok--the art is acceptable--the choices are not acceptable to me and it has nudity but is not very erotic. 3 out of 5 stars.
