Two goddesses ask me to save 5 girls. got confused and fucked Eli. 10/10
This game was perfect. I started playing cuz I needed that good good but it low-key changed my life
If you're a fan of CrushCrush, this is the game for you. I loved seeing the characters more fleshed out, and the story is good and has some surprising turns. The 18+ scenes are well written too.
This game is such a gamey game that it's one of the best games to ever game
Such a visual novel in which you novel visually as you visually novel through the visual novel
i just finished this game and i am speechless
TLDR: Highly recommended if you played Crush Crush. Recommended if you like deep character focused games dealing with heavy issues.
I'm not normally much of a visual novel player, but I love the characters and writing in Crush Crush. I bought this hoping to get more of the characters and see how it all translated into a more serious gaming experience.
Be careful what you wish for. Like Crush Crush, the characters are variously funny, witty, engaging, charming or endearing. Unlike Crush Crush, they exist in a world where trouble and consequences are real. They will struggle, and get hurt. Sometimes, in spite of your best efforts, you will be the one hurting them. It's tough, even harrowing at times, and the content warnings are very much warranted on the emotional front.
The payoff is a level of engagement and depth that I have rarely encountered in a game. The writing is as good as I hoped and the characters are fleshed out well beyond their Crush Crush archetypes - you will probably care very much about at least one of them, maybe all of them. The voice work is excellent as well, although the volume mixing is uneven in a couple of spots and one of the characters unfortunately becomes almost inaudible for a while during her most emotionally intense scene. Still, it's a minor flaw in an otherwise excellent game.
Some suspension of disbelief is still required - it's not a harem game, but it's harem-adjacent, and the plot explicitly requires you to date all the girls, so while you can be monogamous or even celibate if you want, everyone will assume the worst anyway. It's a credit to the writing that this doesn't feel forced and the character stories still feel heartfelt and genuine even though they're all happening in parallel. The story feels a little perfunctory at times and the loose ends are wrapped up awfully conveniently and neatly at the end. I didn't actually mind this, as I was playing for the character journeys (which definitely delivered) and was comfortable with the plot staying in the background.
My main pet peeve is that I wish the writers would actually mention sex when it happens, even if it's in movie style time skip or fade to black fashion, rather than dropping in obvious and ridiculous placeholders like tickle fights (apparently the most emotionally significant and meaningful tickle fights ever, judging from the before and after messaging). The uncensored DLC fixes this but is way overkill for what I wanted, and adds a general prurient tone that detracted from the feeling of the game for me. Can't we just admit that they did the consenting adult thing without explicit depictions or descriptions?
Play time is relatively short, but there's replay potential if you want to explore the different endings, dialogue trees and play styles, or if you like optimising your choices. Do follow Mystic's advice and save regularly, even if you're playing commitment style like I did - there are many different instant game over choices, and while they're easy to spot and avoid early on, it becomes much more difficult later in the game.
Overall I'm very happy with the game - it has confirmed my love for Sad Panda Studios games and I will be following their future releases closely. Budget enough for the Peanut DLC as well if you buy this (maybe you could resist, but it's Peanut - what are the odds?)
I like the game because there are minecraft super mario and star wars refrences I wish sad panda makes Hush Hush 2 the return to subrosa with kinda of the same plot but you are working with detective Fumi to solve a case
Dear lord this game was great. I feel like the game was personally made for me considering that my family is from new Orleans and everything had a combination of a beach island and new Orleans architect. I came across Sad Panda after Crush Crush and I'm extremely impressed with the second game. Im deeply saddened that you can't take all the girls despite how much work you put in despite that the addition of the Peanut DLC was great and I would've felt empty without the addition of that DLC. Never came across a dating game like this.
Cute and fun fantasy getaway. It's like a romcom, with lots of drama, except its a video game and your decisions affect the outcomes. 10/10
peak. 11/10 love peanut
NO SPOILERS AHEAD
TLDR: Great game, great story, give it a go!
Came to this game from Crush Crush, so was just expecting a similar "click and collect" virtual dating game. I was so wrong! Yes, there is still the virtual dating element to it (and yes anime bewbs); but the story telling is incredilbe! Once you get through the hell that is week one, everything develops and the need to know the backgrounds of all the characters, and to learn more of where the story is going takes over.
10/10 would recommend to a friend (even if they give me a weird look to start)
PEANUT DLC: Peanut is obviously one of the original games great characters, and it is nice and enjoyable going through her story in this game. Very fun character to interact with. The only downside? The (one of the "good") The ending becomes a very difficult choice!
girls pretty
This is a really good, story-focused visual novel that brings out lore for every single character in the game. It's a fun experience to figure out ways to get the endings. And this is a game where "your choices matter" because of the theme this game presents.
The only downside is that: "This is still a visual novel." Voiced or not, this can be a bit of the bore for people who don't focus on the plot and dialogue. But for the people who do like these types of games, this game cuts deep and will literally bawl their eyes out the more because of how greatly written the dialogue is.
Having 31.5 hours in, and I got everything. And I highly recommend the 18+ Content and Peanut DLC for the best experience. It's enjoyable from beginning to end. Plus, with the difficulty settings in, you can either feel free to experiment where you wanna go, or hop in a challenge and figure out the best ending with no bonuses.
Highly recommend to visual novel enjoyers worldwide.
Straight fire.
this is an excellent visual novel. on the same tier as doki doki, and somehow way more wholesome. it is a little hard to keep the girls from dying sometimes but there are guides you can follow to avoid that. peanut dlc is a MUST if you get this game. the 18+ is also but thats my personal preference
I absolutely love this game. Never thought this was as good as it actually was. 3 days, and I already have it done 100%.
Great game. Big fan of Crush Crush, I played it on the web browser, and I'm happy to see all there characters here.
I wish you could customize your character. I kept imagining my character as Johnny from Mr. Massagy, another dating sim VN, wearing yellow swim trunks, sun orange rim black lense sunglasses, and orange sandals with yellow straps in every situation. It would be nice to give your character a background so Fumi will comment on it.
I hope their's another game where the girls come to your city and have to date you, I can't get enough of Mio, had to buy her plush from the store. She will be in the jar.
You don't need to play crush crush for this game, but it makes the dates easier, or just save scum. I probably won't be getting all endings. Unless they add "afterstory" content where you can end up with one (or multiple) of the destined girls.
Edit: Got the good karma good ending. Would recommend.
Loved it
I'm just like the protag, women suddenly die around me.
great game with lots of work put in for lots of characters.
no
A very fun, gripping story filled to the brim with entertaining writing and emotional story telling. The art only improves upon the style of Crush Crush and captures the different tones of the environment extremely well. The music does an incredible job of evoking the different personalities of the main girls and other characters alike, while never being overbearing. The DLC are great additions to the game, while the art book and audio tracks provide some awesome depth to the creative process behind the game.
Hopefully Sad Panda Studios will make more stuff like this in the future. The game is well worth the price.
they all died
Way too good. I need more.
Best Dating Sim ive ever played
Pros:
+ Cute Girls With Compelling Backstorys
+ Fun Side Girls To Date
+ Choices That Only Work On The Stats You Increase
+ Multiple Endings Which Go Off Of The Stats You Used The Whole Gane
Cons
- Some Cute Girls You Cant Date As They Are Side Charcters
Easily the best H game on Steam. The girls are all amazing, the voice acting is great, and the story is fun. The scenes could be a bit more animated and I certainly wouldn't complain if they added more of them, but otherwise it's top tier. It's not too grindy, but choices do have consequences and time management is critical. I hope to see more expansions of this game. Each of the girls are very unique, so there's someone for just about any preference in here. Love it.
a great visual novel with the girls from crush crush where you try to get with everyone but keep your relationships secretive or else they will suffer tragic deaths, not to mention packed with content for a game of it's nature. shoutout to whoever does the art and trailer music for these games, you've done a great job :)
romantc
very nice
One of the best vns, dlc recommended. Also try out the other Sad Panda Studios games, good stuff.

Gripping the wheel, his knuckles went white with desire

True Death, 400 horsepower of maximum performance piercing the night

I can't believe i saw this in 2025
peanut is peanut
she the best
Another fabulous visual novel with railroad gameplay.
Two goddesses want you to clean up their murderous mess after setting up innocent people the bomb.
The characters are great. The stuff you get to do in this game is awesome. There's a really nice neighborhood to play in. I could eat this stuff up any day of the week!
The problem is, the game is based around keeping five different women ships in the air without crashing. Say or do one wrong thing, and one of them goes slowly careening into a hillside. Savescum, don't fail me now!
After about the third time playing this game, I got the jist of it: I'm a terrible choice for saving people from sticky personal situations. To play this game I gotta grind through Groundhog Day until I memorize the right patterns, or have the walkthrough to read my way through the dark forest of delayed action fireballs.
It's too bad, there's so much juicy fun in the scenes. The fortune teller, the coffee shop, the crazy cat girl weirdness. It's delightful! It's just not accessible for a casual player like me.
The best part of the game, hands down, is Peanut. A non-main character, she makes this game almost get a thumbs up from me. If you get this game, get her DLC, she's fantastic.
Sigh. Game heartbreaker.
Enjoyable story, good music, and allot of character returns from crush crush! This games brings me allot of happy memories hahah.
This game as a really good story the character are fun and diverse if you are intrested in Ero VN this is on of the best i played
This is all my opinion and the game may be more for you!
The Good:
Art style is great.
Game is fun, mostly.
The girls are all pretty of course.
Interface is good.
Each personality is unique and very well done.
Voiced completely.
The Bad:
I was expecting a more sandbox dating sim, the very linear pathway is annoying and the game ending abruptly a couple days after a "mistake" consistently is very annoying and i am sick of re doing parts to get it right. The skip isn't fast enough when there is so many choices to make that it stops on.
Why does one dying matter? let me carry on with less girls?
I don't like the MC being gender neutral, i would prefer to see my man parts penetrating the girls and being sucked on etc.
Yes you are catering to a very tiny % of people at the loss to a majority.
The 18+ dlc is not worth it, because you never have sex, it just implies it and you see some nude girls.
The worst thing is the inability to keep playing when people die.

If I can't marry Eli I'm uninstalling.
Sad Panda Studios please make this happen. This isn't a joke. I fucking love Eli.
TL;DR Play Hush Hush, especially if you can emotionally invest yourself in a fictional story.
This game actually wrecked me. I liked the characters before going into this so I knew I was sure to enjoy my time playing this but nothing could've properly prepared me for what I encountered. I found myself toyed with by the developers, strung up by my heartstrings in their tree and forced to care harder than I have in years. Seriously, I haven't felt this way since I played Katawa Shoujo.
My only gripe is that I can't chose a girl to stay with and have an epilogue with them.
My favorite game
cured my depression 10/10
Brilliant sim. I wish that they added more content. Can't wait til the developers make a new game.
i need quill
Having just finished the game for the first time, I can honestly say it was a positive experience that was worth my time and money.
To go into a bit more detail, the game isn't perfect. There's some audio issues, particularly with voice recording, and the voice acting isn't always the best...except sometimes it is. There are certain moments where the voice actors absolutely hit it out of the park. The writing is often silly, funny, and amusing; while maintaining the ability to tug at your heart and invoke genuine emotion when it needs to. Particularly towards the end it made me feel things. I look forward to whatever they create next.
P.S
Mio, best girl. She's a stereotype, but somehow by the end she truly felt the most "real".
First VN I've played and I'm proud to say that this experience alone has peaked my curiosity for other games like this. Fun and Interesting story, characters, narrative, and art / design. Definitely recommend.
Will be 100% this game for sure. As of writing this I am already at 17/39.
With no exaggeration, this is my favorite game of all time. Everything down to the music to the art to even the voice acting. In my opinion this game is near perfect. If you're a fan of Sad Panda and even Visual novels in General, this is a must buy. My favorite girl was definitely Mio, and at some points in her story I was genuinely shocked at how dark it got (iykyk). I got the Peanut DLC recently and I cannot wait to see what it will contain, and I can't WAIT to see what Sad Panda has in store for their next releases. 10/10
Didn't particularly expect more than a silly dating sim, got sidelined by some surprisingly dark and tense moments. Usage of a particular Latin phrase made my blood go cold because there's no good connotations to it, spectacular stuff. It's a VN with some dark themes and an admittedly slightly anticlimactic conclusion, but it's good overall. Better than some, worse than others, solid 7.5/10 the Dainbow Rash knockoff made me cry at one point. Also boobahonka is pretty cool I guess
There are multiple endings but there is an ultimate guide here on steam created by Falcon that tells you exactly how to get the best ending while maximizing your time throughout the days and, while i wouldn't usually, i HIGHLY recommend using the guide during your first play through! While you don't have to follow the guide to a T, it ensures you get 100% on the dates and THAT'S MOST IMPORTANT! You will miss out on some very big things if you are not thorough. The best ending has it right in the name, and holy shit is this VN amazing.. Getting 100% on dates, side character interactions, and more is super satisfying. (LINK TO THE GUIDE HERE!! -> https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2855586058)
People new to or suspicious of this genre may write this game off as another "hentai/ecchi" game and i will defend this game with my life. This story was amazing and far better than what bigger companies are putting out now. There are points where it is so emotionally charged and things they say are so relatable, I was ready to cry. Hush Hush takes all the lovable characters from Crush Crush and Blush Blush and turn it up to the max. You really become invested in these characters and they are really fleshed out with unique personalities. The voice acting is stellar all around, but during the emotional parts, it is award worthy with how the different VA's give it their all in the later game when things start to tense up and risks are being made.
Finally, the soundtrack is something else. a little over 2 hours of eargasm worthy music is the cherry on top. the themes are memorable, catchy, and beautifully composed. Honestly, one of my favorites in the entire soundtrack is in fact the main menu song. 2 hours is much more than i expected from a visual novel but it is 2 hours of music I would love to have on repeat as most of it is really calming and fits the vibe perfectly for your adventures throughout Subrosa!
Thank you so much to the entire SPS team for pouring their heart into the best visual novel I've ever played. The game is the perfect balance of raunchiness, getting at your feels, and an overall awesome game to put your time toward. The story knows which direction it wants to take the player and it will NEVER compromise a seriously somber moment between the player and a character to crack a cheap sex joke and risk breaking immersion (unless the player wants to lol). I really look forward to any bigger projects you may have planned and will back on kickstarter in the future for sure.
Love you all so hard!!
addicted.
