WISHLIST AWKWARD 2, OUR LATEST PARTY GAME!
About the Game
PLAY AT YOUR OWN RISK
At the end of the 1800s the government declared a global ban on this legendary card game due to an increase in bar fights, divorces, and family feuds. It was political correctness gone mad.Awkward is the ultimate test on finding out how well friends, couples, and family know each other. Using a keyboard (even for multiple players!) or a controller, players are asked to answer increasingly uncomfortable questions in secret, while their companions try to guess the outcome.
PLAY THROUGH THREE ROUNDS
- ROUND 1: A starter round with relatively normal questions. Do you prefer cats or dogs? Pineapple on pizza, yay or nay?
- ROUND 2: Slightly awkward questions, but nothing too strange. Hopefully. You can do this.
- ROUND 3: Definitely the most awkward questions. What part of your partner do you prefer, body or face? If you could only save the life of one, would you choose a 1-year-old or an 18-year-old?
Guess how the other player answered and get to the top of the leaderboard!
Whether you deduce correctly or incorrectly, games of Awkward help players see each other in a brand new light. And your opinion counts: each Awkward question will let you compare your vote to the rest of the world. Banned for over 120-years, Awkward is back, and you can now enjoy this controversial adult card game as a videogame.
QUALITY GAMEPLAY
Featuring the original banned questions, as well as all new content written by Danny Gallagher (Quiplash, Fibbage 2) and Joanna Haslam (Buzz! Quiz World, It's Quiz Time). One to six players can join in, with a huge selection of game modes on offer. Play cooperatively, as teams, competitively, or solo players can play alone to guess how the rest of the world fared with Awkward's controversial questions.NOT JUST FOR LOCAL MULTIPLAYER
Awkward features innovative streaming technology which lets up to 500,000 concurrent viewers play along with you in your stream on Twitch! Thanks to the unique 'Live Show' technology, viewers can participate in the chat, without needing a mobile companion app or having to visit a special website. Your viewers have to guess what you think, and compete to get their names on the top of the leaderboard!Awkward is the ultimate party game featuring over 5,000 fiendish questions. Do you dare to find out how well you really know each other?

Game is not "Awkward" as the title suggests. The questions are really tame and boring, with nothing awkward or NSFW at all, and that was with us playing on ultra awkward mode.
The game requires all players to have access to the keyboard or a controller, as it's all about guessing the other player's answer and there's no website for people to join the game and actually submit their answers.
There's definitely potential. The game is well-made, and I enjoyed seeing the player statistics at the end of each question, but there's just a lack of thought put into how this game actually operates online. And no fun twists like double points or unexpected game modes.
Also! We ran into a bug where after completing a game and going to the menu, the Discord button appeared as
Big hopes for Awkward 2 to improve upon this game, but for now I'll be refunding.
Not awkward at all. The questions are terrible and not complex at all. An AI could have created better questions than this game has.
Awkward lives up to its premise of posing divisive questions to those who play them. In streaming the game like I have, the host should be ready to give their viewers explanations and personal reasons to make their decisions quantifiable. (Luckily, I haven't lost any friends over it… yet.) It does offer camera support; however, running other programs that make use of that resource (e.g. OBS, Windows Live Camera) will have you organizing a workaround so your face can be seen on screen.
I've had the chance to play this game for stream one night.
Was reached out to by the developers to leave a review, so I will.
It's good. There are things that could've definitely been improved upon, but I personally like what's here.
Although I like the Twitch integration & it works well-enough with the chat, I do wish the game capture window was adjustable so that you could make the window with the game capture full-screen. The window with the actual game playing in the Live Show mode is too small otherwise. Seeing that I'm already using my own personal overlay on Twitch, I don't need the in-game overlay that's provided (although it's a nice option).
This is a fine enough game to play solo as well if you're interested to see how well you poll compared to everybody else that participated for this game, but it's only something I recommend you play in short spurts if you have nothing else to do. I'm sure this game when played with others locally is fine too, but I wish there were more to do online.
Not a bad game, but a fine game.
