Unless you're getting it for aesthetic reasons or just to support the developer, I'd recommend buying the print version of the game or playing it on BGA. It is very beautifully executed, but just a bit outdated now.
This game is very tricky and easy to understand, but VERY hard to master. (I remember playing it either as an older teen or within my earlier young adult years.)
To die for? Not really. It also has some weir,d un-neccesary glitches that need bugfix patches.
But is it worth a try when discounted? Certainly!

Man, I hate to thumbs down a game that's as fun as Smallworld, but I can't recommend this one due to glitches and constant crashes. Breaks my heart, but avoid this one.
Its easy to recommend; simple to learn, fast to play. Lots of depth, even in the initial deck, to learn and build a strategy. The best deck builder I have come across.
It is pretty fun and shows stuff that I did not previosly know for the game.
Good way to learn rules of the board game, but digital version is crashing constantly on WIndows, on Mac it works fine
Also no way to configure anything, like speed of animations or other stuff
For those who enjoy the board game.
The idea of conquering and developing strategies
A fun game, housed in a broken, unstable platform. Would be very enjoyable if the game didn't constantly crash.
Nice funny game. I have this also boardgame, so i try learn it.
It's a fun little game. It's nice having to not mess with all the tokens.
Play it on a touch screen and it's like an actual boardgame!
