Описание
If someone crosses your path before you fully enclose an area, you'll die. If you cross your own path, you'll die. If you hit a wall, you'll die.
You just need to swipe in different directions with arrow keys to move, and to claim a territory you just need to close the area. The game continues until you own the whole territory. To steal area from your opponents, you need to run through their territory and close as much area as possible. But, you should be very careful, as you just have One life and you’ll lose it as soon as someone hits your tail.
Steal their entire territories and conquer the largest space.
Features at a Glance:
• Easy to learn, hard to master
• Smooth gameplay
• Wonderful graphics with cool sound effects
• Collect gems
• Conquer the largest territory with your hero
• Set different heroes for your profile
• Fun for all ages
Conquering territories is really easy as you just need to close an area. But the hard part is to keep it from being stolen and destroy the opponents by touching their path before being hit and destroyed by them. So, sometimes you need to decide fast, and sometimes you just need to wait for the perfect moment to increase your acquired territory and destroy the opponent. The more opponent you destroy, the more gems you’ll get to collect.
Warning: Asset Flip!
Frontiers.io is an asset flip, or what Valve calls a "Fake Game". The "developer" paid for/pirated someone else's example/template/tutorial game, changed the name/reskinned a couple of things, and submitted it to Valve as if it was their own game.
This time, Boogygames stole a basic Unity template for making a Qix (1981) arcade game ripoff, and reskinned it with stolen artwork from Final Fantasy (so we can hope Boogygames will be sued for this).
Boogygames Studios have shown a repeat pattern of unethically dumping other people's work onto Steam as a cheap, nasty cash grab, through this account or through closely linked/alt accounts. Here's some examples so you can see for yourself:
- "Hidden Object - Food" = Hidden Object Game Template developed by Puppeteer
- "Hidden Object - Tools" = Hidden Object Game Template developed by Puppeteer
- "Solitaire - Cat Pirate Portrait" = Klondike Solitaire Complete Game Tutorial developed by University of Games
- "Case Simulator Weapons and Armors" = Yet Another Case Opener developed by NeraQuam
- "Color By Number - Pixel Draw" = Pixel Art: Color By Number developed by Moana Studio
- "MahJong - Medieval Fantasy" = Mahjong Game Engine developed by SmallBigSquare
- "Pixel Art Monster - Color By Number" = Pixel Art: Color By Number developed by Moana Studio
- "Rainbow Duck" = Switch The Gravity developed by App Advisory
- "Weapon and Armor: Mahjong" = Mahjong Game Engine developed by SmallBigSquare
- "Loot Collection: Mahjong" = Mahjong Game Engine developed by SmallBigSquare

Taking this shovelware seriously as if it was a genuine attempt to make a game, it doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard.
A choice was made to use obsolete, decades old retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result.
While there are options to change the resolution for the game, all this does is scale up the simplistic 2D art assets used to make the game, which makes little or no difference to the graphics quality. Without any other substantial graphics tweaks, it's not possible for gamers to improve the lacklustre 2D visuals.
The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers, or gamers using AZERTY or other international keyboard layouts.
The very poor quality of this game puts it squarely on-par with ancient 1990's Flash/Java games, and given it's 2023 (and this was released not so far back in 2017), gamers and the industry expect and deserve better than this kind of low effort shovelware.
These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game.
The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 2 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 50,000 games for gamers to choose from (over 9,000 completely free titles), the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected.
Frontiers.io is relatively cheap at $1 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, and the questionable ethical nature of the developer and/or their associates (as outlined above), this is impossible to recommend.
I mean.. for 50 cents? I got enough playtime to see that there isn't really anything else to the game except an online version of Snakes. It feels like a school project that was put on steam.
The games happen so fast that you sometimes aren't even sure what happened. The input lag is real... and overall.. I don't know if it was 50 cents well spent. I mean.. it's cheap, so I ain't refunding it.
...
.....
.... I could swear I am seeing Final Fantasy Black Mage in this game! Anybody else see it?
even as a meme... just dont... *sigh* its garbage.
there is probably a website flash game out there somewhere that does this but better.
