Your people wants more than just a home and food. In time they will demand more non essential commodities like pottery, mead and jewelry.
No single island has every necessary resource. In order for your people to reach the highest standards of living, you have to manage supplies from multiple islands.
Life is not easy, even though there are no enemies. Your people will face the everlasting threats of sickness, starvation and the freezing temperatures.
Campaign mode offers an increasingly challenging experience. Skirmish mode allows a great amount of customization options like starting conditions and world generating seeds.

i bought this years ago, i play it such a short time, and i hated all of it, i never wanted to play it again, i bearly payed anything, i think it was £0.16 but honistly 3p woulda been to much for this shit, and i havent haerd anythign that disagreed with it, nothing is good just get another game
I regret buying this garbage product. Completely non-comprehensible and bland design and gameplay as well.
So error riddled and hard to operate. Sadly disappointing.

Sucks butt, no ingame game settings, everything is clunky as hell.... aaaand the game crashed when I tried to save.
Not worth my time or money.
I have played the game over the last couple of days. The guide someone setup is quite good and some of the video reviews have good informations. While the game does run it still has some major issues to make it a fhinished game. I would say this is still in Beta for all practical purposes. Here is what I found so far.
1. As others have indicated it does not have tool tips when hovering over items either in on the map or in the screen showing things like inventory.
2. When selecting a dwelling it does not show how many people use it.
3. When selecting the Harbor, Storage or Market it does not show how full it is.
4. When saving the game it appears to hang and sometimes crashes. You also appear to loose your initial ship. At least that is what happened on one of my games.
5. If your are playing a campaign or tutorial and you use the Options to Leave the Game it won't let you start a new campaign or tutorial. You have to Exit Valknut and restart the program. Note: selecting Skirmish appearst to work OK.
6. When you pause the game you can't use the keyboard commands to scroll the map. Moving the mouse to the edge of the screen does scroll the map though.
7. The game badly needs a manual or integrated help system. We don't really know what is needed, how many and why.
I think this game has some real potential but I consider it in a beta at this point. No updates since Jan 2018 don't inspire me to think the developer is spending much time on it. I can't recommend it at this time. I will be checking back from time to time to see if it improves.
How did this slip through early access? Crashes constantly. UI issues that make it seem like it's soemthing I would have played maybe 20 years ago. It's a step above casual tapping games, but it falls short of modern RTS.
I applaud the effort, but yeah you need to polish this a bit more.
I have absolutely no idea why this beautiful game has any negative reviews??? Granted if you have never played this genre of gaming before and you cannot either read nor follow simple instructions then you are going to struggle; having said that just imagine being shipwrecked, as this is what life would be like and as thus; this game is as simple as that.
It is refreshing to have no enemies apart from the elements which are brutal to say the least. My only criticism of this game is the painfully small icons otherwise this is a simple yet harsh survival game that will test even the most die hard gamer of this genre!
This looks like it could be a fun game in the vein of the Anno series, but in its current state it's almost unplayable. The mechanics may be working but with no instructions or informational tooltips you're going to be absolutely lost trying to figure out. The tutorial tells you to build a harbor, then stops once that's done.
Okay... so what resources do I need to start hauling in? I'll build a fisherman's hut, a house, and two farms for berries and peas. For ten habitants that should be fine. Guess I don't need roads, everyone seems to be getting around fine. Hey, I see my house has fish, peas, and berries so I should be good for now. WAIT, SIX PEOPLE DIED OF HUNGER? HOW? How many people are in that house? How many can it hold? How do I know what's getting fed? WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?
Until a better tutorial or actual informative tooltips are added wait to buy this game. The possibility is there but until it gives even a hint of how things work I can't reccomend it in its current state.
Impossible to play without tooltips or useful tutorial.

This game should be still in early access and not fully released, it does have potential but just feels like someone got a city building kit then edit it some and released it. Maybe one day after few patches it will get to a point where you will enjoy it.
For me that's not now i mean when the fisherman goes in land too get fish and with the few times when it comes out on the sea its just an boat and no human or such on it, there is still some work too be done before you should release it.
In the end do have potential but need more work, i would recommend waiting with this game but keep an eye on it.

The most incomplete, stupidest, unplanned game I have ever played. DO NOT BUY IT!!
This game should have been released to Early Access and then fixed and repaired and finished. Currently the game is incomplete, buggy, crashes, and has very little in the way of help, information, or even tooltips. This is about as early an Alpha as you can get and still call it a release. Not very fun. There are so many great games in this genre now that to release this incomplete hodgepodge town builder features and call it "finished" is a bit disingenuous. No idea if this game will get to a reasonable release state but it isn't there now and there isn't enough status information in the game to even let me know how I'm doing. I'm baffled that they didn't go Early Access with this.

First off this is not a finished game! There is a very small tutural that really doesn't help you at all.
You get to an island and build a harbor then your on your own.That wouldn't be so hard if you know how many resorces you had and how many people.
So i winged it thinking of other simular games.I lost and wanted to start a new game.Fail!
The game didn't let me chose anything and had to exit.
So i started the game again and failed to launch.
This is defenty a Early Access game that needs improvements!
I like the concept but needs major improvements!

devoloper try to copy Anno but tottal fail. its uselase terific glich. no proper tutorial, no resorce management icon. finaly rqst refund.
Viking ships and fishing ships are sailing on land.

After tutorial the game menus came unresponsive.

It shows potential but lacks alot in terms of user guideance, for exampel tool tips.
Without knowledge of citybuilder games you would be stranded completly helpless. I found the lack of "help" quite challenging and it woke my curiostity of finding out how the game mechanic works.
It should have been a early acess release in my opinion. The pathfinding of boats and fishingboats need to be adressed since the cut straight through islands.
So a chellanging citybuilder game in terms of you have to figure out how it works on your self!
If you are uncertain, wait for more reviews to figure out if it is something for you!
