A boy who has no interest in love.
If they were to fall in love with each other, how would the world change?
From Palette, developers of "Mashiro Iro Symphony", comes the romantic school comedy, "Saku Saku: Love Blooms with the Cherry Blossoms". Much like how "Mashiro Iro Symphony" took place during the seasons of Fall and Winter, SakuSaku takes place during the Spring and Summer.
WANTED!!
Springtime. Cherry blossom season.
It is a time of first encounters and final partings, a time when buds are sprouting.
But for Asaba Yuma, a 2nd year student at Mihaya Academy, it was simply a gloomy day.
Yuma was something of an accomplished love expert that all the girls in the academy came to for their romantic troubles. So skilled was he that there was even a 21,000 yen (taxes included) "love bounty" placed upon his head. Whether it was seeking advice regarding jealousy or even infidelity, Yuma heard it all and increasingly it made him less and less interested in love.
Then one day he met a mysterious girl.
She had never fallen in love before.
Yet, she believed that it was something truly wonderful.
That girl also had a rather mysterious job.
"Do you want to fall in love?"
As a fairy of love, her job was to make Yuma's love come true.

Before the review, here is the overall quality of each route compared to one another:
Mio < Yuuri <<<<< Tina < Konami < Ann
(And just to get it out of the way, the recommended play-order is Mio>Yuuri>Konami>Ann>Tina, don't listen to the guide that tells you to play Konami before Yuuri, I don't know why they suggest that)
I bought this vn fully expecting it to just be a light-hearted romance eroge, with a little bit of drama sprinkled in for flavor and whilst this was definitely true of Mio and Yuuri's routes, past that this vn shows a surprising level of emotional depth.
Now I'm not gonna sit here and tell you this vn is some kind of masterpiece, because it isn't. But what I will tell you is that the Konami and Ann routes handle their unique twists on the relationship in a really interesting and mature way, and whilst Tina's doesn't (for reasons obvious when you play) the later conflicts within her route are more than interesting enough to make up for it.
Mio and Yuuri are more of what you would describe to be your typical romance vn routes, Mio being the childhood friend and Yuuri being the more recent friend. They're still fine on their own, and they actually help give some characterization and background info that helps the later three routes, but don't expect them to blow you away or anything.
Outside of the story, the art is pretty well done and whilst the backgrounds obviously do get repetitive after a while, I was surprised at how every once in a while throughout the routes a new character sprite would appear that I had never seen before in the common route or the other routes. That combined with the large amount of CGs made each route feel just that visually distinct enough to keep it interesting.
The voice acting (although I don't understand Japanese) was pretty good and helped to give life and convey the tones of the characters pretty well. The voices also just fit really well with the characters (excluding the miscellaneous children characters though, you can tell they just told the VAs they already had to the best child voice they could). A lot of the music does get repetitive after a while, but there are a few gems in there as well that appear more rarely but are always a treat when you hear them.
Overall, sometimes just your typical romance vn, and other times a genuinely interesting and emotional experience, 8.5/10.
Really boring. Extremely bland. I don't know how else to describe this game apart from being a complete snoozefest. Art is indeed good (all hail Izumi Tsubasu) but there's like... nothing else at all. I know I don't particularly like moege very much but at least I didn't suffer while reading *all* the routes.
Notable routes are Ann's (the red haired), and especially Konami's (the white haired imouto) just because this game has a quite different way of dealing with incest routes. The rest is pretty much irredeemable garbage for me.
Decent story routes with nice looking characters.
I liked the sprites in this game. The male protagonist has a sprite too and can sometimes be seen when the POV changes to one of the heroines. Also the character sprites have a backside when they are turned around. I haven't seen that very often in VNs but it makes the characters feel more dynamic.
