We see a basic and very "raw" game. From what the game offers, it was supposed to be a free game. There is still much to improve, I say this because the arts are "ugly" and the narrative is quite simple.

King of Bali {KoB}, is an enjoyable visual novel {VN} with an interesting, though not too complex, tale of a "hentai" nature. Choices do make a difference, and there are multiple endings.

At its current {19NOV2019} price of $1.99 US in the Steam Store, it is well worth the cost in terms of entertainment value. Also, there is a FREE 18+ DLC available that automatically is installed with the game.

KoB has 9 reasonably easy {but NOT instantaneous} Steam Achievements. So, they are not "junk" achievements. HOWEVER, Steam does not recognize KoB as "Completed" when one achieves 100% :steamsad:

This ignoring of 100% Completion also seems to be true of the other developer King Key Games VN's; King of Queendoms, King of Phoenix, King of Texas, etc.

I recommend KoB to any Gamer interested in Achievement oriented VN's that actually require some effort.

First time seeing such trash. Game sucks. first of all it:s not standart Novel as you would expect. Just short story of few days at Bali resort. Nothing special. Music bug pisses me off. Music turns on after every scene and on every scene i had to turn it off again and again. And whats more instead of scenes i had to look at erupting volcano, this is the ugliest experience i ever had... My total grade is: graphic - 3/10 could be much better; story - 2/10 - a long way to go; expectations - 1/10; gameplay 1/10; gamedev 3/10 - bugs bugs bugs. Overall grade 2/10 I can't recommend it to anyone even my foes...(if there were)..

Not worth it! The story is too short to the point you can finish this game in less than 5 minutes. And even with the 18+ patch it not worth it. Only way I would recommend this game is for achivements which are super easy to complete and trading cards.

Way too short. No real story. It is all about seeing eight boobs (on four girls) and that is it. It takes less time to play than my daily 3-S's. Because of this I will not buy any more "King of *" titles from this publisher. There are too many other stories that last longer, have rich stories, and even though they may have the same or less nudity are better worth their five times the price.

it is pretty short and not worth 2 bucks lines are really cheesy. look i don't mind stuff like that sometimes but it just wasn't doing it for me. the music was pretty annoying. the artwork was the one good thing but even then 4 pictures. the menu to see the gallery is a mess. you can only see 2 of the 4. i see no other option to see the others. if you really want to read it or for the pics. wait for it to go on sale.

This was the lamest game I have played so far. There was no real effort put into the storyline it was all get laid get laid get laid. Might as well have been saying blah blah blah. There was really no point to it. I have a feeling I paid for it too.

- CG Gallery doesn't display properly, one of the girls doesn't show and the one masturbating is full size rather than the sieze of the other two that display.

- There is a choice inconsistancy with Kendra. If you make her dislike you and run into her again, your character says that you wanted to continue what you two had planned the previous night, and she plays along. They have this dialogue even if you never met her the previous night.

- The protagonist is incredibly irritating. This is obviously a personal gripe, but I hate it when guys call every girl they see "girl".

- The manager is given dialogue that attempts to give the relationship between her and Billy some depth and it falls short. I don't care that she is getting married, I knew of her for all of a minute before I was on the island putting Billy's MONSTEROUSLY HUGE MEMBER into anything it would fit into. Then, she comes to pick you up, prattles on a bit, and boom, now she isn't your manager. Darn.

- The volcano WEBM is cool looking, but I wish I could skip it.

- I finished the game, obtaining all achievements in 24 minutes. I paid $2 to play this for less than half an hour. Most games I can at least get an hour of play per dollar I spend, and I think that is a good model to go by when perusing these types of games.

If there was more to do, better options, more girls, etc. then I could see this being amusing but in it's current state it's not quite worth it. I do, however, really appreciate the approach they took in regards to giving the community the option to enable the cut content. For that reason alone, I won't be refunding my money and give this a "recommended". It's not up to Steam to tell me what can and can't be in my games and developers giving you ways to circumvent their morality policing is a good thing.

King of Bali is one of those visual novels I didn't enjoy and thus I used the guide here on Steam in order to take screenshots and explore every route, since the story itself really did never manage to get me involved into the game.
It should be a comedy dating novel but many factors have always made it hard for me to play it.. starting from the artwork, the backgrounds are somehow nice but the girls aren't so beautifully designed or particularly expressive. Some of them, like Madison and Rosie, are just the same picture with some small differencies and overall the graphics aren't that good in my opinion.
Anyways, the game is very very short although it costs 2€, and this is why I'd not recommend to spend 1 or 2€/$ on this if you want a good visual novel, which actually fails also in its purpose of being an "adult-themed" sort of thing.
Plus, this is the only game ever made by this Australian studio and well, one could have expected something more..
The game mechanics themselves work well, you have the usual save/load options, skip dialogue, log and so on, but the game's definitely short and within three playthroughs you'll have probably seen already pretty much all of it.
And there's nothing really adult.. apart from maybe a volcano.. ehm.. you'll see what I mean..
No, you'll see for real lots of erupting volcanoes.
As I said, the game's very short and well, it should be a dating sim (i.e. you're a man and you'll date women xD) but the characters are very limited, they're quite all the same even in the look and well, even the choices are limited and often pointless.
Though, there are no other interesting parts in the game; you just have to become the "king of Bali" by choosing the routes that will make you.. your volcano erupt with one girl or another one (and as I said it's nothing that "mature", but anyways it's ok the warning in any case, it's not suitable for children). So, apart from this, there are no points in searching for other routes or branches.. you just need to answer the suitable choices in order to get the girls in your bed and the corresponding ending.
There are few girls, and the game seems to be always the same thing.. so very low replayability.
So, 2€ or even 1€ is really too much. Was it for free, well, ok, maybe it could have been a positive vote, but given that price.. it's definitely too short, the story isn't really interesting or outstanding at all (at least well-written, due to native English speakers developers xD) and the mature content, if you're interested into it, well it isn't here. You'll see just some scenes, and girls that all look the same and to me (but this is a personal opinion) they're not even drawn that well.. I saw lots of indie visual novels with girls looking much better, and of course with many more expressions and sprites.. these ones are just standing standard figures.
Not that the main character is so charming and interesting himself..
I didn't mention the background music, well, ok, better to play silent..
In the end, if you have the chance to play this game for free take into account everything I said and be prepared for a very short and shallow visual novel. If you've got to pay, I really think that you can spend your money better in other games even in this particular genre.

There are plenty of other reviews that explain it better but its a short game that is well in my opinion a "Achievent Whore" as i dub it would like. Its worth the 2 bucks for it and its easy to get all 9 in it plus I like seeing a perfect game on my steam.

Okay, so from someone who has read a fair few Visual Novels i can say right of the bat....this is terrible -_-

The story is that you are playing as this musician, who goes by the name of Billy. The story revolves around you trying to make a comeback in your carrer since the publicity you once had is dying. What happens is that you get a sponsership at this island in indonesia. Here you will meet 4 women that all want to f-u-c-k you as soon as they meet you.

There you go. That's the story -_-

There is a few choices but nothing where you really have to think about what you should do. As long as you compliment them they will line up to suck your d-i-c-k or v-a-g-i-n-a i guess if you are a girl :/ Either way, that's just straight up stupid.

Even the 18+ patch couldn't save this game. Dont buy it! Even if it's on sale, it sucks.

Played with friends in the room, the dialogue was more of a laugh than it was my one friend jumping out the window due to him losing the will to live half way through the game. Good meme. 11/10.

King of Bali is just short and not fun. While the soundtrack was nice, it kept playing only one song the entire time. The girls only had one facial expression and were just annoying. A waste of time.

This game is a little fun deal. It has a little substance... very little, but it is what it claims to be. You are basically a one-hit wonder who ten years after that one hit gets a gig in Bali. Being left there for three days by your manager (who has to go to Hokkaido for something), you decide to explore the local scene... and maybe the women... Play your cards right and you could end up with four different girls before your trip home. Oh... and if you do sleep with them... there is a humorous animation...

There seems to be a couple bugs. First, to get two of the achievements you cannot lie or have sex with any of the girls during a playthrough... and if you have done so in a previous run, it still counts until you exit and restart the game. The other bug is slightly lesser. Apparently, one of the girls is not tied to the sleep with all of them or the get all achievements achievement... Still, minor issues.

If this is your type of mindless entertainment go for it.

Pros: Fair price for the game, okay story, good visuals
Cons: Short, okay dialogue, can't undrstand the humor

The game was not what I expected

I'm not an expert in visual novel and dating sim, but these are my thoughts:
+The music sounds like 90s pron? It's funny tho.
+The flirts are ancient, I lol'ed.
+It shows some bewbs and only bewbs.
+ It's cheap.

- It's short.
-The choices are pretty much YES or NO.
-The plot is simple, bang all the grills and you can do it in 1 go. There is no branching in the story.
-You can bang them as long you praise them, no need to think hard for the choices.


6/10 (well, it's cheap)

Veredict:
Not worth buying unless you want to have another completed game in your steam account.

Cons:
1 - Linear, choices don't matter at all and hence no fun in repeating.
2 - If you are here for the nice girls, they are indeed well drawn, but the most explicit thing you'll see is probably allowed to 15yo people.
3 - Very short.

Pros:
1 - Cheap.
2 - Free achievments (full game completion), because it is very short: I did a full run reading the entire story in 25 minutes and another one to complete all the achievments in 5 minutes (using a useful "skip" option).
3 - A bit of music industry casual humor. You'll need to be born in the 80s or early 90s to fully appreaciate the jokes ;)

I managed to 100% the game in 25 minutes. It took just 2 playthroughs. However, I'd still recommend the game, simply because it's just $2.

The character art is really good, the story is pretty decent.

The main character is pretty annoying, but he does have some funny lines sometimes so it's fine.

It is hard to say yes or no to this one. At $2, it's not unreasonable. It's Short and the CGs are not that great. There is Boobs, but thats all. No HCGs really. If you are looking to "get into something" or "Play it with one hand", this is not it.
Writing is Decent. Characters are ok, but there is nothing really pulling you into the story.
Meet, bang, onto the next girl.
But if you have $2 that you are desperate to spend, Try it.

I don't usually buy this kinda smutty stuff, but this one piqued my interest.
The info on the store page and the screenshots made me think that this wasn't a complete hackjob and/or handjob.
The name Billy Bega and the achievements... they just cracked me up.
And the game is two bucks, so I bought it.

The game is short.
But the art is very nice.
Grammar is good, I only saw one mistake.
Got a slightly obnoxious flow to the game, Billy Bega a stud star apres all.
But really, for a stud like Billy, anything'll work if it's just for a night.
I suppose the game was interesting enough, but I laughed more before playing it.
The portrayals in-game seemed realistic though.
Of the nitty-gritty sort but not too debased in terms of language.

Welp, Billy Bega beat the game banging all four chicks in my one playthrough.
And I think that that's enough.
But it wasn't too bad for two bucks.
Wouldn't really recommend any kids to play this though.
There are better ways to learn how to attract women.
Unless you're a stud who doesn't care for the long term.
Then you can Billy Bega it.
