Step 1: Select your stage
The app will feature stages of different sizes, from a small club venue to a massive arena. Choose the size that fits your style!
Step 2: Select your music and sound effects
Your music and sound choices are obviously a crucial element of any performance. Choose the music and sounds that will make your performance pop!
Step 3: Select your 3D characters and choreography
Pick your 3D character models, then give them actions and movements. Creating your own original dance moves is a snap!
Step 4: Select your stage effects
Combine different visual effects to create your own unique style. Make sure you choose the right effects to go along with your music and choreography!

For those of you who want to take control of the finer details, you can use the UE4 Mod Editor to get into serious customization mode! For instance, you can create your own stage lighting, equipment, and even add your own character animations. And whatever you create, you can sell to other producers through the online store! The possibilities are endless! It all depends on you, the producer!

cursed UE4 based MMD
Not sure why I bought it, I guess it looked amusing.
Now I am glad I did. Find myself with a grin on my face playing around with all the options!
May bring out the inner choreographer in you which you didn't know you had!
SHOWMAKER is, to a certain extent, a more streamlined and automated version of other dance-based animation software. At $15, it's a bit much for what you get, but the polish and presentation is almost unmatched.
It functions quite a bit like traditional video editing software, with tracks that you can assign models, dance moves and effects to. This works great for quickly choreographing performances, and could appeal to dance or theater professionals who want a game to play after work that's related to what they do.
This software has a TON of potential that would be unleashed with Steam Workshop support. If the developers found some way to include the mod tools inside the application instead of externally through Unreal Engine, this would be a grand improvement too. Overall, I heartily recommend SHOWMAKER with the expectation that it will see many improvements, optimizations and content expansions in the future, although at this stage in development, waiting for a sale wouldn't hurt.

The only thing bothers me is you can't make any changes when you play the show
This is amazing 100% , its like you're a Manager and you want your Idol to shine and perform in front of lots of people . you will not regret getting this :D
As for someone with a little experience in film making, this app is great. Although there are some bugs here and there, it is easy to learn. As for me,
+ They got dance, model and stage presets
+ Lighting and other effects
+ You can add your own songs with .ogg format
- Currently limited to the presets
- Free camera are a little hard to move
- Need more adjustment in the edit mode
