About the Game
Amidst an ongoing battle for domination, the new Servant Charlemagne makes his debut
Above the ruined earth lies the realm of SE.RA.PH, a virtual world inside a lunar supercomputer. In this last refuge for humanity, powerful Servants — sentient, digital recreations of famous figures from Earth’s lore and history — battle rogue programs (and each other) to establish dominance and enforce their kind of peace. But peace may never come again, now that a new threat has arrived to wage apocalyptic war. Standing against the destruction is the hero Charlemagne, a dashing young knight with a hint of sadness behind his bright smile. Join Charlemagne and his comrades — the bumbling paladin Astolfo, the flamboyant Emperor Nero, the mischievous fox spirit Tamamo no Mae, the cynical rogue Robin Hood, and many others — as they rush across the battlefield in the name of humanity.

Came for astolfo, stay for best boi charlemagne.
While the story is not on par with the previous game, it has its moment and hype.
Great game and lots of fun if you enjoy killing endless mobs. The mechanics are good so the game never gets stale.
A good, but no great, continuation of Fate/EXTELLA trilogy. At least it was planned as a trilogy, but we know nothing about the 3rd game (yet).
The combat, smiliary to it's predecessor, has a good flow. Fast paced hack and slash game, the only problem is, that you can't really defend from an attack, you can only dodge. This can be annyoing against servants, and shadow servants.
Talking about servants, the different classes are implemented well, they play and feel differently enough. Obvoiusly there are ones that useless and there are some that is really strong, like Gilgamesh and DLC Altera.
The story is kinda meh. Especially compared to the previous one. No timelines and timeline jumps, just 3 endings, and choose the one you like. It is kind of a continuation of the previous game, but it pretends some things did not happen (or everyone forgot about them happening). Also, this time, no mini story campaings for each servant.
Visually, well do no expect some UE5 level graphics, but it looks nice. Really nice. The artstyle is great, and they really paid attention to the look of the servants.
The voice acting, as always, when it comes to the japanese VA industry, is just next level. The music is similar to the previous entry, it sounds great, it fits the game.
Overall, this is a fun, good game, but kinda grindy, if you want all the achievments, set in the Nasuverse, with the best saber, Nero, as one of the mains servants.
10/7
femboy 🤤
While I'm not too familiar with warrior type games like these, however I can say I am very familiar with the Fate series. As such my main draw to this game was purely as a Fate game and overall it's pretty fun! I'm really enjoying just going through and replaying all the levels and extra missions and grinding out my Servants. Not sure how this compares to other warrior type games but purely as a means to absorb more Fate content and get to play as a bunch of my favourite characters It's pretty cool! Pretty fun to just sit down and play this as a way to chill out.
HUGE improvement from the previous title but didn't give much for the story
astolfo
Much improved gameplay from Extella where comrades are actually competent even on Hard difficulty. Huge variety in playable characters and customizeable movesets. Massive amount of content from the branching story to extra missions, but unfortunately multiplayer seems dead. The gameplay can be braindead button mashing but its pretty cool - the attacks and visuals are awesome.
This Game is both Good and Bad. The Story in My Opinion isn't as Good as the First One, but that Doesn't mean its Bad. it has a Decent Story, its just a little Too Short and doesn't Have Multiple Perspectives like the First One. The Gameplay can be fun, if you Don't mind Repetitive Gameplay that is. If you do though, it can get Boring pretty quickly. It has more Characters than the First One, so that is a Good thing. The Bond Stories are also Cool and I'd recommend Viewing all of them. Overall, its a Decent Game. If your Looking for something Simple and Not Overly Complex, then I'd Recommend it. But if you want Something more Advanced and Not as Repetitive, then I'd say Skip it.
great fun!!
While the game is cool and etc. It's sometimes hard to remember things. I mean there are how to do things if you forget, except how to lock on the enemy and similar for some reason, also three isn't explaination how to use code cast (button) I mean and also, WHY THE HECK DID THEY CHANGE THINGS LIKE PRESSING Q TO DASH AND ETC? IF YOU MADE A GAME AND PEOPLE GOT USED TO PLAYING LIKE THAT, DON'T CHANGE PRESSING DIFFERENT BUTTON TO DO THINGS YOU NORMALLY DO, LIKE YOU HAVE TO PRESS LEFT SHIFT TO DASH AND ETC. BECAUSE PEOPLE WHO PLAYED FATE/EXTELLA WILL HAVE A HARD TIME TO DO THINGS. But other than that, you can play a game, it's good
i luv it
Fate extella is better than common battles games in character design, story, and places mechanism system. worth to buy for you who does not care about repetitive battle but with a lot of character that ready to be played! Why did you still wait? still searching for similliar game? just try it!.
remember to follow the tutorial well
DO NOT BUY THIS GAME! IT IS DEAD AF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
gg
Got tamamo and summer version in fgo, now continue to play extella sequel.
Good game for fans,
but there were changes from the previous game,
most of the changes are Great.
got this on sale, worth it ngl (also the cosmetic dlcs are pretty cool)
compare to the 1st game (fate/extella umbral star), I personally don't like it. The visual and gameplay are improved, but the story is very short and not much interesting. But I still give it a thumb up anyway because I like fate girls and jiggle physics. Still recommend the first game though
Its the most mid game I have ever played, but not in bad sense. Gameplay is plain and simple yet enjoiable, achievement are easy to get, story is decent. As I said, mid. Get it with discount and you will surely enjoy it
best game astoflo best girl no cmt
Tamamo panties
So far so good, I love it!
Good visuals.
great hack and slash warriors game.
Highly recommended, Highly FUN! The one thing i dont like is the camera angles though, its a bit all over the place AT TIMES, and sometimes you dont hit your target and hit other enemies instead. But perhaps i just need to get used it? but overall gameplay is fun and the moves are tight enough and definitely stylish!
good game
Story is PEAK
Soundtrack is PEAK
gameplay is PEAK
Arjuna is HOT
Came for the Astolfo background, got a really fun game! The running and slicing is the best part of the game, the voices were also one of the better parts of the game! Tamamo no Mae is my personal favourite...
First of all, I need to mention some plot stuff and some Fate lore. So tiny spoilers ahead.
A fast-paced musou game where you dash through maps and areas as you wipe armies. To be honest, compared to the first Extella (I played in PS4 years ago), Link reuses a lot of stuff in there while adding new servants to the roster. If you played one, the other will be pretty much the same with very few differences. I guess that's the usual pattern among musou games.
That also means is a formula you can barely fail with. Is grindy sure, but if you prioritize the targets on each mission the levels usually take 10 minutes top to clear. You get some missions and other stuff to do, but is mostly to increase the servants' bond levels which either can be increased by playing them, or passively completing missions while focusing on the main goal. If you want a real con is that some events that happens due the enemy army's actions tend to repeat, giving barely any variety or unpredactibility.
My negative with the game is not that is literally Extella with a few new servants, but the plot itself. The first Extella had three timelines to learn about Altera and find the true ending, creating a bunch of lore that will be tied together in other stories like in FGO (Where Altera debutted). Here there's really not much to look for despite Charlemagne being the focus, as most of the game's plot and routes focuses mostly on looking and recruiting brainwashed servants and every now and then foreshadowing something you already know from the start. Most of the big Type-Moon lore dump fans expect happens practically at the very end of the true route/ending, and there's really not much to dig through. While the first Extella and Extra itself had strong interactions with servants (minimum 3-5 of them), in Link you have only Charlemagne and that happens usually at the late part of a route. It mostly answers one of his ascensions in FGO, which is nothing compared to Altera's whole biography that is the first Extella.
So basically, Extella Link gives a lot of improvements to Extella, basically being Extella Turbo Edition in the gameplay department. However, if you are expecting some good story and worldbuilding as expected from Fate or Type-Moon in general, is better to go for the first game instead as takes advantage of most of the cast. Really up to what you're looking for in a Fate Musou.
