The arena will award you with item drops as you battle throughout, choose how you evolve and change throughout the battle with strange items that will change how you approach the next wave. Learn what items fit how you play and what works best for the fight ahead of you. Think ahead in an arena and decide to invest in stronger early game items, or try to aim to get the pieces of a powerful set to blast through the rest of your fight. You will need to make the most of what you find, so plan ahead accordingly!Unique abilities and items as you progress
Unlock more specialized items and abilities as you make your way through the arenas, with unique items focused on different approaches in the arena. You'll be able to broaden your strategy and change your loadout based on the battle ahead, from defensive high health items, to energy based speed gear or even high risk luck based items.The Arena turns against you
Strategic use of the arena and Hero positioning can allow you to make the most of the arena you find yourself on. You'll be able to use the gaps to your advantage to get dangerous enemies to fall off the arena, as you progress enemies will grow and turn this weakness into an advantage by gaining special abilities from the environment. As your enemies change the way they fight, you'll have to change up your strategy and how you use the arena environment to your advantage.Gain new skills
As you gain reputation and skill fighting in the arenas, you'll be able to upgrade your skill set gaining better abilities and stats, allowing you to try different loadouts and strategies with ease. You'll be able to specialize your Hero as you progress in order to maximize your power in the way that you prefer to fight.Unique Enhancers change up the Arena
Slaying special enemies will award you with unique specialized items - enhancers. Using enhancers you'll be able to drastically change the way the arena behaves and how you approach your battles. I got a steam coupon for it, didn't look promising at first but for the little time I've played it's kept me hooked and it's a wonderful time killer, musics good also, solid 8.5/10
a really nice arena brawler game is a more adictive than it look at first it look really simple but once you start play it you get so hook up
Finally got to play Arena Hero and I am impressed with the game for its time! I can appreciate the effort put into the UI systems and the whole easy-to-learn but hard-to-master gameplay. Pleasantly surprised by the design of the game and that it runs buttery smooth even when set to "Extreme" while on a mid-tier PC.
I enjoy good framerates when I play any sort of game and is another reason why I recommend it. I can tell a lot of effort and optimization has gone into the game and the overall toon aesthetic works well for a fun arena fighting game with a nice player progression upgrade system.
I am looking forward to the next release and recommend having this game.
Absolutely NOT recommended if you're someone who likes to finish games. By the last sections it becomes a total annoyance, with terribly designed enemies that only cause unnecessary interruptions in the flow of combat. What do I mean by this? For instance, there are floating enemies that you have to wait to come back to the arena, because otherwise they're unreachable, and this can take you at least half a minute, which is an eternity.
Also, the arenas become so small that it's impossible not to get hit by enemies attacks. There is even one level where there are only SIX floating hexagons. What were the developers thinking?
The final nail in the coffin is that by these late stages you basically have to grind and repeat until you're able to upgrade your character, because either the battles become impossible to win or you have to be so cautious that winning them would take you more than an hour (literally, no exaggerations) due to incredible resistant enemies and weak weapons.
There are other visible issues, like champion enemies dropping special items that in some cases are completely useless, and you have to try to avoid them during the battles, otherwise you'll be forced to pick them up.
Also, in some cases the chosen perspective isn't comfortable, and you might experience difficulties calculating your jumps or trying to hit enemies with long distance weapons.
In conclusion, if you don't mind reaching until the medium stages, most likely you'll have a good experience, but after that point it isn't worth to continue.
Not like I've expected much, but that's a whole new level of unfinished product. Feels like it was developed by a stud or even a kid. Got it only by a coupon - not recommended at all

This game is a fun non-stop action game where you fight waves of monsters it has a cute block like art style and fun for anyone who enjoys fighting games, this game doesn't require lots of skills but I wouldn't recommend any unexperienced video game player's who haven't played a .io game over all its fun and say its worth the 2$

From the couple of hours I've spent with tis game thusfar, I can say I'd recommend this game. Its got the feel of a twinstick shooter with light rpg and rogue lite elements implimented in. Such as even if you fail you still get xp towards spending on skills or if you kill special mobs they may also drop rewards. As with roguelites, death is gonna happen eventually. Like the title says, its all arena based so don't expect any meta level storylines or anything over the top. Just a fun game to pick up and chip away at when you're burnt out from all the PUBG and CS:GO.
TL:DR
If you like chippin away at rougelites bases in arena settings, with a general feel of accomplishment, even if you fail. Then this game is down your alley!
I wish there was a 'neutral' option, but unfortunately there isn't. Actually I would recommend this game to someone who looks for the things this game has to offer because it does them well, it's just that it doesn't offer much.
It's like Spiral Knights aesthetics, combat and equipment system without pay to skip grinding, which is good, but without anything else, which is bad (and sad). It doesn't even try to give any non-gameplay reasons to keep playing. To some extent it might have been my fault because I have hoped for too much, but in the end I was disappointed and asked for a refund.
If it ever became a 'fuller' game (I know, not likely), I'd love to play it, though.
The game is fun even though it could be luck based sometimes. For example, you need to get lucky getting good items such as diamond weapons. However, you might not need to get lucky if you have skill to beat the level. The game is good with it’s soundtrack and gameplay. I recommend getting a coupon for this game though. A way to get this coupon would be trading with the profile named Trashdump.
I bought this game for $1.00 thanks to a coupon I got while crafting badges, and although I've only played 10 minutes total as of the moment I'm writing this review, I already don't regret buying this game!
Quite an entretaining game. Good for the times you want to have a little challenge and distract for a while.
I really enjoyed the game and I would reccomend it for relaxing and having a good time. Though some parts are a bit hard to pass it is a really good game overall.
Pretty fun game. If you are good the first few levels are pretty easy then it gets really intense later. Its pretty cool when you get more items later on. Really fun overall.
Way too Easy to keep me interested, literally just hold down left and right mouse and run to enemies and they die. Nice concept with the area style but feels limited by the lack of different weapons or characters. This game sure as hell is not worth $10 for what it is, which is just hack and slash through waves of enemies. I found the music annoying and repetitive, just like the game itself.
