Little band dude is a great mix of ridiculousness and relevance. As a VR experience it has become an "Old Friend" that I rely on to give people a glance into the unique.
I'm blown away that there aren't more videos like this (I think there's 1-2 and 1 is from the same creator). I don't remember what I paid for this, but whatever it is it's worth it. It's a little like looking into the eyes of a golden retriever, it just makes you happy.
'High'ly recommend this experience. It's only 3 minutes long but its very enjoyably and I find it to be a great way to brighten up your day.
Fantastic! I have almost 2 hour of play time logged in what is essentially a short music video. My kids and I LOVE it.
This game is awesome. While it's short, and not that interactive, the graphics are bright and colorful, the song slaps, and it has such a calming vibe. This is now my new VR Happy place, and I hope it's yours as well!
Simply the best VR experience ever. You don't need anything else. I bought the valve index solely for this game and it's the only one I play every single day.
I know for a fact this game is wonderful for getting people to start enjoying VR. I love showing this game to people and I love enjoying its colourful romp myself, its a good mental detox. Try it out!
Old Friend is a decent VR music video experience.
Having been someone who has put a decent amount of hours into playing VR, I have experienced a lot in VR, and can easily say that Old Friend isn't the worst VR experience that I have had, but it hasn't been the best either.
It's essentially a music video that you can somewhat interact with, and the music nor the graphics are bad, but for $2.99 I was expecting something more. Luckily I was able to buy it when it was on sale though, so I don't really regret purchasing it.
Basically it's a VR game that might amaze new VR users, and is still a good time for VR users of any experience level, but I don't recommend buying it at full price, personally. I mean, some people will enjoy Old Friend more than I will and some might enjoy it less, so how much you are willing to pay for it might depend on how much you think you will enjoy it. I just didn't enjoy it to the extent that I thought I would.
All in all, Old Friend it what I consider an "decent" VR experience, but since it's not a bad one, I would still recommend to anyone itching to try something new in VR.
It’s short, colorful, intolerably cute and catchy. Having a bad day? Five minutes here had ought to turn your mood right around! It’s the same content over and over, so not a ton of expanding gameplay to unlock after hours of grinding. But for a short and fun experience, you can’t beat this. Thumbs: UP!
It's short, but it's fun. Will put a smile on your face. Dance like no one is watching and lose yourself. I am a 35 year old man and I was truly giddy for the first time in years. Thank you for making this.
It's a 3 min music video. If the screenshots dont intrest you then dont get it. Other wise this is an amazing VR interactive video. It's a perfect blend of music, color, visual effects, and immersion. There is some replay vaule because there's a lot of details that go over your head the 1st time.
If your worried about the $3 price. It's worth it because this is extremly high quailty; mouth sync, easter egg like interactions, & detail of expressions.
Pure joy.
I always fall back on this to start or end a play session or if I just want to jump into VR for some reason and don't know what to play. I am always happy to land it this jumpy dancy world.

Its rare to see such excellent character animation in anything here on Steam, let alone a short experience like this. Its perfectly paired with the tune. Good times.

This is a great way to introduce people to what vr can do without freaking them out. It's colorful with a good song and with stuff going on everywhere. I will admit it's not very interactive, you just control the hands and the the wobbly arms attached to them. I'll also say it's kind of short, but it's also only $3. I was smiling by the end of it both times I've watched it so far, totally worth $3 to me.
Also I hate to dance, but this made me dance a little. Well jiggle. Whatever. Shut up.
Not only is it a fun lil' thing that is DEFINITELY worth the price, it introduced me to one of the best songs i've ever heard. Buy this.
This "experience" was pure bliss. So much innocent, carefree fun that I thought there'd have to be a catch (some sort of jump scare) but no, nothing but a catchy tune and some sweet psychedelic visuals. I'm pretty sure there was goofy smile on my face the entire time. 5/5
Legend has it, if you look up and stick your tongue out long enough, you'll get a free paper hit of LSD, at no extra charge!
But if you ever feel gloomy. Just party with these little dudes. Maybe you'll find a new friend..

Got a friend seeing VR for the first time? This is the go to. Blissful, comical brilliance that's fun for the whole family. Just don't forget to dance.
Wow. This is incredible. I never really thought about the idea of having VR music videos but you seriously owe it to yourself to try this out. My 7 year old daughter danced her little butt off to this 4 times in a row, she absolutely loves it! It's so silly, fun, and the aesthetic and art style works so well. Please make more of these!!
