gud,

fucking sick
spectacle
the best of the dawn of war 2 series
purty good
完结封档。
据说开发商濒临倒闭所以只做了一个战役流程适配所有种族。不过战役本身还是挺有意思的,体验了灭绝令,打过大不净者再打恐虐大魔。背景音乐也很有力。
Fear not the alien or the heretic, but the laspistol aimed at your head by a Commissar.
The final expansion to Dawn of War II adding yet another faction to the roster in the shape of the Imperium of Man.
Out of all the game this one caused me the least technical issues and it's also the most complete in terms of content so Retribution is the best for playing skirmishes.
Besides that the campaign makes a return with a new party of heroes, this time based off the commander units from the skirmish mode, and the conclusion to the story that started in the first Dawn of War with some pretty cool cutscenes.
But I saved the best for last: the campaign can be played with all 6 races. They vary in quality but they are all rich on hammy voice acting.
The only issue is that the campaign is always the same with slightly different dialogue. Some elements from skirmish mode are present such as building units but the levels are fairly linear so there's little space for the dynamic battles from actual skirmishes. Also, one of your heroes is always silent and that blows.
In conclusion, I think Retribution is pretty good. It's sad that it never reached the level of polish that Company of Heroes has but Warhammer is obviously more niche than World War 2 so that's understandable.
who knew genocide could be so fun
FOR THE EMPRAH
vERY GOOD
great
good game
Old but Gold
its warhammer
One of my favorites.
I've played this game more than any other on Steam; going 10+ years now. I've played with bots and players. Some updates have ruined it at times, but others have managed to keep the game enjoyable. It feels 40k; the era I grew up with, anyway. It's certainly cheaper than the Warhammer miniatures hobby (especially nowadays...). If you like the GrimDark universe of 40k, give it a go. If you like cooperative matches, try Last Stand. This game mode is tough, but fun with good teammates.
no base building and massive army battles like dow1
Dead Multiplayer with a somewhat diverse but linear campaign. play it once and its all the same after
Despite being removed from the store i should still make a review for this game
its. . .awkward, it takes the contriversal formula of 2 and removes what made the game great, gutting alot of the love 2 had, yes it adds some more units and makes the army size larger, but i believe this is to the games detriment, for a first time playthrough the game is fun and the story interesting, but apart from that this game isnt all that great
This game takes everything that is great from the Dawn of War series and amps it up to 11.
The concept of replaying the campaign from different perspective and different races makes this game stand out in the RTS scene.
Each faction is unique, with unique mechanics, unique units, unique strenghts and weaknesses.
The storyline is just what you'd expect to see in a game set in the 40K universe.
Gameplay is state of the art craftmanship. It blends RTS with RPG elements. You level up your units, you equip them with stronger gear, each battle feels like a reward from which you grow stronger.
The maps are beautiful, level design is wonderful. Missions are so different from one other in the objectives and in the settings, it never gets repetitive.
Thanks to the well balanced difficulties, this game can be enjoyed by everyone, whether you want to feel the intensity of battle as you watch your squads getting surrounded and overpowered, with nothing but strategy as your only leverage point to win, or whether you like feeling incredibly overpowered and shredding havoc among your enemies.
Multiplayer is just as fun, whether you play the last stand with the even more unique characters and factions, or just play against human opponents.
It's a must play for any Warhammer fan or RTS fan. I played the Dawn of War series as a RTS fan, and it got me hooked to the series.
This game as the imperial guard so I like it :D
good
its the same game... if you liked playing through the story so far....then yeah.... buy game.
A Classic
solid game
best rts
Put a gurl on.
What a complete buggy BS this is! Couldn't even finish the secound mission.. Crash after crash
Less emphases on structure building but a stronger focus on unit abilities and character development. It has map structures and debris that troops can hide behind, or garrison, to gain a damage reduction boost similar to Company of Heroes. It is a fun game; although, it is the most different of the 3 so far.
really fun great game captures the essence of warhammer 40k purging xenos with flamers and destroying chaos
Old game, still fun. This is the expansion you want over the others.
Sometimes the games can end a little... anticlimactic as it's about getting points and not about blowing up bases... most of the time. Thus, it can be a slow drain rather than going out with a bang.
Why is it, that when I am playing as a Space Marine, I feel this irresistible urge to type in all caps in the chat?
I don't know why this happens, it's almost as if there is some guiding spirit, lighting my way, giving me purpose, and protecting me from the horrors of the warp.
Seems like the Anniversary Edition for the two earlier Dawn of War II games bricked this game or they just shut off the servers... Maybe it has something to do with Relic going solo and suffering from two down sizes in a small time frame.. I guess buyer beware with any of their games for some time.
Also they took the game off the Steam store so no one other than those who already bought it will see these reviews I suppose...
Yesterday was a blast, but when I woke up and play the game again.. there's a notice message popped up says "Your connection to the steam servers has been lost" it keeps popping up every time I tap Campaign button like.. man..what was that? IS THAT WHAT THEY CALLED "once in a life time experience"??? man I love the game BITCH FIX THIS DAM ERROR
It's just a nice simple tactical game with some nice progression elements.
eh
Game is very fun and I like playing it, AI is too easy though, even on hardest difficulty.
