Bend and twist reality in A Fisherman's Tale, the mind-bending VR puzzle adventure game in which being turned upside down and inside out is not merely a play on words.
Playing as Bob, a tiny fisherman puppet, you live alone in your tiny cabin, oblivious to the world outside. When your radio broadcasts a storm alert, you have to get to the top of the lighthouse and turn on the light! But as you try to leave your cabin with the help of some uncanny sidekicks, you realize what's waiting outside is not at all what you expected...
- Break more than a couple laws of physics in mind-bending VR puzzles!
- Make it to the top of the lighthouse before The Big Storm, with the help of some uncanny sidekicks!
- Use your hands to pick up, throw, combine, and use all kinds of things in glorious fully immersive virtual reality!
- Toy around with your tiny little model lighthouse, inside a lighthouse, inside a... is that another lighthouse?
- Uncover the truth at the core of an unusually tall Fisherman's Tale, exclusively in VR.

You get vored by a fish
10/10
Is this a must play? Short answer is no, it is not. As a 6 year old VR game this was heralded as a must play for the rift s and the quest and it's decent but it's not gonna have the impact it once did. On the positive side I thought the game was successfully immersive during moments when you're on a boat during a storm and I though the puzzles to be somewhat challenging enough to keep my interest. I think they did enough things right for me to check out the sequel as I've heard it was a little better than the first one. Overall 7/10
short and sweet puzzle game, worth it on sale
Took about 1 hour to finish. I paid roughly $5 for it. I think that's the right price for the amount you get and the experience it provides. Full price is way too much. Neat game. It was amusing.
Cute little game with fun puzzles
It's an experience you shouldn't miss if you have a VR headset. I played it on the Quest 2 and had a lot of fun ^^ I really enjoyed the game concept :-) The game is quite short, which is why I would recommend buying it on sale. Still, it's a 10/10 recommendation ^^
A very enjoyable experience. The gameplay is designed for VR, and the environment has a very nice atmosphere.
I'm not a puzzle game guy but this game hit so good. Absolutely one of my favorite VR games. The music was excellent the puzzles were solvable by me (and I'm a dunce with that sort of thing). The feels... omg so good. I highly recommend this game to anybody. It's a little short (completed in about 3hrs) but for 20$ well worth it. Normally have a rule 1$ an hour but so glad I broke my rule for this game.
Saw today there is a second one. Gonna pick it up asap.

SO FUN! This is what VR games should be, taking full advantage of the medium. So creative and kind of trippy. A quick 1.5 hour game that's well worth it.
Do you developers plan to keep ignoring Korean buyers?
Your official description states that the game supports Korean, but when I launch the game, there are no Korean subtitles or audio.
We, Korean buyers, have been asking for feedback and improvements since the early days of the game, but your consistent disregard for us is deeply disappointing. I was hopeful when I saw that you finally released an update after such a long time, but upon logging in, I see that Korean subtitles and audio support are still absent.
It’s truly regrettable to see you continue to ignore your Korean users.
A really short, but fun mind bending puzzle game. It has an interesting premise, an enjoyable atmosphere, and a few fun jokes.
When I say the phrase "VR games used to be fun," this is what pops into my head. It works so well in VR, it gives you this unique sense of wonder and awe without being laggy and overly ambitious. Pretty short, I took an hour to beat it but honestly it could've probably been done in half that. But damn is it nice to sit in that tiny slice of VR history where games were this dedicated and creative. It's a pretty standard point and click adventure with a recurring ability to shrink objects or enlarge them by shifting your perspective from model house inhabitant to model house builder. I think with the VR, it turns a solid 7/10 game into a 8/10 if not just to put this game on a pedestal for what vr can do right. $15 is a tall price for something shorter than an HBO episode but It's all about how much you wanna go back to that point in time.
Highly, HIGHLY, recommended!!
Beautiful story with fun, simple game play and fun bits along the way. InnerspaceVR has outdone themselves with a fun little game for anyone who likes to relax, wants a good story line, or enjoys simple puzzles. A Fisherman's Tale is a masterpiece in VR and one of a kind.
Good job, guys!
It is a really great (short) VR experience
This game is too overpriced, even if you get it on sale. The main mechanic of the game, interacting with a smaller/bigger version of yourself is an ok idea but the length of the campaign shows how little you can do with it. By the time you reach the end of the game you feel like you've done the same puzzle over and over again. The only positive I see in the game is how good the visuals look, one highlight being the underwater section. My initial playthrough was around 1 hour then I came back to the game much later to get all the achievements and I don't think my extra playtime with the game really "enhanced" my experience or felt more deserving of the money I spent. The other game the developers made "Maskmaker" felt more like a complete game with different and beautiful looking environments with a unique and engaging mechanic that is enhance by VR movement.
I wouldn't pay more then $10.
Different game, interesting. Really targeting ages under 16 years, can be for all ages, but really feels more for a direct younger audience.
I personally got bored about 2 hours into it.
so good
Really good concept for a VR game
