Surrounded by nature's quiet beauty you experience your pulse shooting upwards as soon as your first or biggest fish finally bites. But now you have to stay calm to make sure the fish won't make a last minute escape.
Whether you're a weathered veteran or just started learning the ropes, this fishing adventure is easy to learn, but hard to master, and only the perfect mix of skill and patience make a champion. Every fish you catch increases your experience. Step by step you unlock new bait to lure in even bigger fish. Use the money you win to buy better equipment at the bait shop.

It bugged after I closed it. I could not catch any fish at all. It somehow worked again later but still very annoying.

Complete crap honestly - there are a lot fishing sims out there that are better. This one is like a point and click - no emotion
WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! do not buy this game does not work properly as you can't reel in any fish around 4KG so you can never unlock the better kit because of this so the game in a way is broken and needs to be repatched but i think
the developer no longer patches this game as he has not been seen for nearly a year.
so do not buy look for a better fishing game that works and is patched when needed.
Seems to me this developer has made a cut and run meaning had your money and just dropped the game and is
no longer interested in his game.
So be warned if you buy this game you just aswell put a match to your money and burn it.
beautiful game, great concept but the timing + reeling + fish distance to shore are ridiculous. It is a shame.
The game is very relaxing. The graphic could be a little bit better, like the fishes for example that are shaky, the game is still being developed so there is room for improvement. Beside that, you will have the occasional crash and also some loop that will happen when you cast your line. The biggest and most annoying issue is the fact that anything bigger than a small fish, you might as well release it because trying to reel it back in is simply impossible. It would make sense if you have lousy gears that it takes longer, but even with half decent one, it is going nowhere. If that could be fixed, I would recommend it easily because it does truly feel like fishing.
Interestingly the more you advance in the game the harder it is to catch fish. As soon as I hook one I click and hold the left mouse button and in a few seconds the fish is gone. Small, medium or large it doesn't matter; as soon as they begin to struggle they're gone. Even when I hook one close to shore it has escaped in a few seconds or less. I was looking for a good fishing game to play in between actually going out in real life but sadly this one isn't it. I paid $5 for the game and I wouldn't pay a penny more. I'll keep it and maybe fool around with it but it's far from a good fishing game. Oh, and the voice acting is atrocious. The worst I have ever heard.
I love this fishing game, as I'm really a poor fisherman, don't laugh its true. After the first 10 mins or so you can get to grips with it and have some fun. I wouldn't pay dear for as it's only got 3 locations, I got my when steam had a weekend sale.
But it's fun so try it out

ive played this a few times and everytime i get a meduim or a big fish the distance slider does not move for the price i paid i expect more from it leveling up is slow and painfull i wa hoping it was like saga bass fishing boy was i wrong problem these days its all about the money rather than effort put into gameplay

Best fishing game on Steam to play with 1 hand. So if you like to drink a beer while gaming and you love fishing then this is the game for you. The graphics are overall good and it's very satisfying to catch a huge fish. My only downside is once you unlock all locations and fishing spots and get all achievements there's not much left to do. Hopefully there will be DLC sometime down the road.
Found this game by coincidence. As I love to go fishing in real life I just gave it a try! I really enjoyed the game. The mechanic iseems to be simple, but you have to be careful, otherwise the fish will escape in the last second.
You can play with different profiles, so theres already a competion who got the biggest fish in my family.
Until now I just fished the Ruhr-Lake and got some nice Roaches, but I can't wait to unlock the other areas and go for even bigger fishes.
All in all a nice game for everyone who loves fishing!
I have recently found a new game 3d Arcade Fishing, so I have decided to give it a spin. The first thing I liked about the game is graphics. It looks really good, with animated water and swimming fish. I also liked the fact that not only I can choose my avatar, but I actually play with the person of my choice. As I didn't like too much menu music I really found the in-game sound soothing and relaxing - just like real fishing would do. There are some minor issues with animated fish underwater but I believe that developer will fix it soon - it is very fresh game after all. The game mechanics are fairy common - you throw, you wait and you pull - everything what is expected from a fishing game. There is a variety of places where you can fish along with a selection of rods and other fishing equipment. All in all I really like the game and wish that this one will improve and get polished in time.
I was looking forward to a cool fishing game and was extremely dissapointed. but for those interested I broke this game down for you...
Pros:
- You wait 10+ minutes for something to bite, just like real life! (never actually got anything to bite before uninstalling)
-A cheesy stadium announcer voice yells "THHHRRROOOWWW!!!!!" every time you cast your line.
Cons:
- The fishing mechanics are horrible
- fishing sfx sound like someone recorded them on their iphone.
- animations are garbage (fish swim sideways, lure simply appears where you throw it, etc...)
- there are probably 50 different kinds of fish swimming in a 20ft radius (humorous if anything)
- music is terrible. (my farts sound better than the soundtrack)
