I gave it the old college try, but could not quite figure out how to play. I loved the concept, just not intuitive enough for me to get into it.

This game has a lot of potential, but I would advise against buying it at this time. As of the writing of this review the dev has not posted an update or anything in about 6 months, if the dev decides to come back and start updating regularly again I'll change my review, but as of right now, DO NOT BUY! It's looking like its gonna be another abandoned Early Access title.
So far it's a fun game, while the UI is a little clunky, the mechanics themselves seem to work just fine. The only bug I've run into is a bug that keeps the loading screen up even when it's the player's turn. Other than that, the game has been very enjoyable so far and I look forward to the next update.
Awesome game with a lot of potential it just feels a bit empty as of now
Seems like it could be a fun game. But at the current state its unplayable. Gets stuck way to often. In between turns it just seems to stop loading and then you cant do anything. Also encountered several times that its not possible to build. from my short time of playing it, this happens too much for me to keep playing at the this time.
Cool idea with potential. I did the tutorial but afterwards I still couldn't figure out what was going on or what I was supposed to be doing. I play a lot of strategy games and have never had much trouble. But it could be I'm just being dumb ig. Early access so there's still hope it'll improve.
TL;DR: A frustrating lack of information and direction and a clunky UI make for a barebones experience that fails to deliver on a cool premise. That said, it is clear that this developer is actively working on this so if you want to help him out or try what exists now out it's ok, but if you're expecting anything close to a polished or even satisfying experience you should look elsewhere.
I think the game has significant potential. It's an interesting premise and the very basic bones of the game are sort of there, but right now I'd only recommend it if you want to be part of what seems to amount to an alpha test.
As mentioned in other reviews, there is little in the way of quality of life features. The tutorial is helpful in a basic way, but the game seems to fight you in various ways to prevent the game from being fun to play for any length of time. For example, the game is turn-based and at the beginning of each turn you receive reports on the success or failure of various actions but they are delivered in an incredibly long list that you have to scroll through. If you perform more than a handful of actions you're left scrolling and hoping that you remember which ones you've looked at. The updates themselves are also not helpful. The game, in its current state, requires you to memorize not only the crests of the other nations but also apparently remember the names of the dozens of people in each court you may be spying/trying to get information on.
The other large issue I see thus far is that there doesn't seem to be much point in acquiring information or doing the job of an actual spymaster. I may have just completely missed the mark, but the gameplay loop seems to be learn secrets from people, blackmail them to earn money, or eliminate them if you want for no apparent purpose (the game never really discusses what the danger of leaving someone with "dangerous" loyalty would be or a person who is loyal but has the secret "traitor"). Then once you have the money, you spend it on various buildings or mercenaries or something? I'm not entirely sure what I'm supposed to do with all this money. Mercenary raids seem to have little effect and sometimes don't happen even if you pay for them. Advising the attack or raid of settlements seems to be bugged as well as I'd played for dozens of turns with my nation's armies going to supposedly raid and attack things only to never see it happen all while the double war I was in from turn 1 had armies running all over our kingdom conquering it and I could do nothing to stop it.
A more minor, but still irritating, concern is that the UI is pretty awful. It's all long horizontal or vertical scrolling lists which makes it difficult to try and remember or find information you're looking for and also to execute actions. Additionally, while I do think it was good that when you hover over virtually any element you get a tooltip to explain it, the game overall has a large lack of information and feedback. For example, I murdered a vast number of an enemy's court by poisoning a feast. Other than telling me people died I had no idea what that did. I also lost trust from the royal family for reasons I couldn't figure out and then never seemed to gain it back.
I think, overall, the issue with the game is a lack of clear direction on how to accomplish whatever goal I might set. I like sandbox games but the game needs to give better information about what I'm trying to accomplish and then how to do that. I understand what actions I can take, but not what those actions accomplish. The game right now basically consists of knowing that you can press several different buttons on a control panel but having no idea what any of those buttons do nor why you'd want to press them to begin with.
This Review takes place 2 Months into Early Access, so bug issues and lack of polish are expected.
I played the Tutorial and was pleasantly impressed, so moved on to campaign.
The Title Menu System is a bit of a bore, it would help if the name of the Faction was presented under the associated crest when selecting. The game crashes some times on the Title Menu.
In game I found identifying which faction was which awkward and tiresome, all location information on the campaign map is presented by faction flags over settlements and fortifications, however the information given at the start of each turn is presented by faction name alone? I couldn't keep track of who was who, and who owned what?!
I think the interface could really be improved if made more minimal in presentation, much like that when looking at the Court screens, here an eye is used as the symbol to spy om the individual, but when you look at the settlement/fortification tabs the spy on icon is a magnifying glass? More common and concise icons are needed.
Mouse Wheeling in and out on campaign map is sloooooow!
My campaign time was cut short by a bug, the End Turn Armies on the Move tab displayed 63/64, I couldn't get this to close and the only way to proceed was to end turn where the same error happened again!
I will be stepping back from this game for a while and will eagerly return later in the year to see how much it has improved. I would say that that although my time in game has been very short the game is very appealing, it graphically is nothing special,but it doesn't need to be, if the game play is as good as it promises to be, and the interface issues are improved then this has great potential ...especially for multiplayer ( which is in development! ). I would recommend supporting this developer by picking up this game in Early Access, but this game has a way to go yet. Keep up the good work Dev's :)

Well, I just played that game. There are lots basic things to do.
But first, I love games genre and subject. Devolopers idea is very creative.
Please solve this problem first.
The messages / reports which is opened at the beginning of the round are dissapear when you click on (x)...
There is no country name on castles, flags images quaility is not enough.
Anyway, good genre but game development still on progress but not ready to publish.

The concept is nice.
There is little quality of life. You need to remember crests+nation names as the game will simply not tell you. It would be helpful if you could open a panel to track the cities, or if the cities at least had allegiance and their names displayed on the map.
There are also bugs, like sometimes the text just doesnt appear. (Windowed 1600x1024 Max details, when you quit a game and start a new one w/o exiting the application).
In the diplomacy view some kingdoms have the same crest (the one with the horse on a grey shield appeared twice).
All in all this game needs a lot more polish, but is nevertheless interesting.
Very enjoyable if a bit buggy, it has a unique charm and fun mechanics
Great game that is very strategic in nature. the tutorial is decent but not complete. The video pretty much tells how it is but it is not complete. I was not able to set fires or start plagues at enemy locations. Load game is broken. By that I mean that when you load a game it glitches and the play field is black hopefully they fix this soon as I have started 3 games and cannot continue.
The bugs are gamebreaking, the AI is stupid, the gameplay gets stale quickly. Has a long way to go.

A lot of interesting history reference, you are playing as an advisor to a leader which is a nice twist and a solid tutorial. Been playing it all morning and I am going to have to create a new game now I think. I kept advising war, now a plague has broken out in my kingdom and I am running out of people so the armies are shrinking and tax collection is tiny. It does not help the king does not trust me now. I may try not to be so aggressive in my next game! This game is rather tricky!
