Polygon Attack

Fun little diversion shooter that can take up a couple hours of time while you relax, game can be completed to a hundred percent in about 2 hours. Get it on sale anything more than a dollar would be too much, not because it's bad but there's not a ton of meat here.

Note to achievement hunters: Achievements will not unlock UNTIL YOU EXIT THE GAME, all of them unlocked once I exited the game.

This game has already ruined my life, so I'll just eat a spoonful of cinnamon for every like this review gets

I had fun with it. The boss fights were great, and it only takes around 4 hours to 100%. I just wish it was longer.

The greatest feature are the keyboard and mouse controls, you can instantly zoom over the screen and shield yourself to destroy enemy ships or shoot them. That's what distinguishes this game from old 'Shoot 'em Ups'. It frees yourself and together with the ability to permanently switch weapons allows for unbridled acrobatics. That's what it's about.
The music could be a bit better, more engaging.
It's not that difficult, as shown multiple times in-game, "Easier than you think". An encouraging game.

Average shooter if you have an hour or so to waste and don't want to think too much. Early stages are slow and easy while the last two stages are still not too hard but it almost turns into a bullet hell. Well priced for what it offers.

Fun & distinct graphics - things are minimalist but color-coded & contrast well. Several types of enemies & bosses feature with the odd tactics to keep you on your toes.

Well-worth the asking price.

Vertical space shooter. Decent controls. Basic gameplay with various upgradable systems. Vibrant neon presentation and graphics. Okay audio. Some balance issues. Slightly repetitive and short.

Starts off mind-numbingly slow, then about the 13th level the enemy ships become hulked up and can kill you even with your shields up. That's some BS logic there. None of your weapons, even fully-powered up, are a match for the boss rush you have to deal with later on. I was going to at least try and get all of the achievements and move on, but this is no longer fun.

And no, I don't "suck at shooters." I've played plenty, but the balance in this game is ridiculous.

Nostalgic n aesthetic lil game. Controller supported n uses score 2 update bullets shields rockets etc. which is convenient. Not bad @ all especially on sale 4 around .50¢

I'm actually kinda impressed with this game. It looks deceivingly bare ones, (or "cheap" as some may say), but it actually has some depth to it...just remember it's a dollar game so don't expect the world here.

It starts out kinda meh, but as the levels progress it gets more and more intense. And by the time you reach the last level, things keep you on your toes. There's 14 levels, with upgrades at the end of each one depending on how many enemies you destroyed. Pick what you want and go to the next level. Its deceptively simple, but damn it works! I wish there was a sequel with more achievements someday.

It doesn't work in Linux. The game loads but the title menu is unresponsive, which means you can't start a play or do anything else. Apparently changing one line in the configuration file would solve this problem. The developer has known about it for months now and hasn't bothered to do a fix but will gladly take your money. That's unacceptable.

For what it is, this game is pretty good. The gameplay is good, the graphics are kind of ok, the old-school ibe this game sets is spine-chilling. Would actually recommend.

A distraction game which is somewhat akin to Galaga, Polygon Attack is a simple arcade shooter with decent visuals and somewhat repetitious sound/music.

The overall runtime is fairly short, with a full run being 1.1 hrs (whilst I was actually working) so with dedicated play a single play through is apt to be about 45 minutes.

There is replay value, from an arcade/blasting standpoint, but the achivements are all realised via a single playthrough.

The difficulty level is somewhat subpar, but if purchased when on sale for a time-waster arcade fix, then this title is worth a purchase.

There's just not enough to this game.

It's a short arcade game. For its price, it's quite fun and not too challenging. The only flaw was every ship was pink in my gameplay but I realized it's much more colouful in the trailers. Anyway, it was a good, relaxing 2 hours. I'd recommend playing with your own music.

It's a very very classic, old-school shooter arcade-like, but very enjoyable, 4 different weapons and some customization! :)
15 levels overall.
I got some issues with the achievements though, they only unlocked after I closed the game the last time I played it, but in the end I got them all (even if on Steam it says that I unlocked them all in the same minute ahahah).
Worth some playing :)

I really enjoyed the game. The visuals are awesome, the sounds are amazing. However, the game felt fairly short. A message to Magnolia Art. You guys should really add an endless mode and maybe more levels. Though for its price it makes sense. All in all its a great game. I really recommend this game.

So, tried this game because it was on sale, so I picked it up on a whim. I have to say it does not look as polished as other "geometry shooters". The gameplay itself is a throwback to 1990s DOS euro-shmups games more than any hardcore Japanese-style "bullet hell". The hitbox is quite large, the progression very slow. I cannot recommend this game, having played dozens upon dozens of arcade and console shmups.

Running on Linux, with the radeonsi driver.

Both of my xinput controllers didn't work at all in this game, and the controller/resolution configuration menu that starts before the game had approximately 40 entries for "Cancel", all mapped identically. This configuration menu actually detected both of my controllers, but they were completely useless in-game, so I was forced to use the mouse.

Gameplay with the mouse wasn't honestly bad. I was surprised. it ended up like a mashup of SNES Mario Paint's "Fly Swatter" game, along with Space Invaders and hints of Galaxian thrown in.

There are graphical issues. All the models are pink until they explode in to pretty little triangles, then they look like they're supposed to. I'm not sure if this is different in other drivers, but on radeonsi, every enemy (and your ship) are just pink shapes.

The game has a REALLY uneven difficulty curve. First level is a cakewalk for even the most inexperienced gamer. Second level is noticeably more difficult, and level three is impossible if you don't have the right upgrades. it keeps getting harder after that, to the point that I wondered aloud how someone would actually be able to play this game well with a gamepad; it'd be End-of-Ikaruga hard by Level 4.

All of the above stated, it was less than a dollar when I bought it. How can I not recommend it? I've received less entertainment giving street performers/buskers $2 coins than I have from this game so far. I'll likely play it a lot, even with the glaring problems. I just wish it didn't have the problems.
