Terrible adaptation -- not even an adaptation, really. It's more of a blatant mobile cash grab. It's clear that they put zero effort into this game. Uwe Rosenberg should sue the pants off DIGIDICED for bringing dishonor to his name.

Reluctantly, I have to give the game a thumbs down. While it is a pretty faithful version of the actual boardgame, there are occasional glitches that can cause the game to freeze. The most common one for me has been the AI doing nothing on it's turn. It just stops doing anything.
I also really wish it had a bit more of a tutorial. it's been years since I played the physical version and I forgot a lot of things in the game. It's been a lot of trial and error, trying to remember exactly how to do certain things and what i have to do to unlock other things. (It gets better with time, but i can see new players getting completely lost.
In the end, it's a good game that needs to tweaking and polishing to make it fully enjoyable. I'll keep returning from time to time to see how that goes. It won't take much to change things to a thumbs up, but it sinply isn't there yet.

A couple of bugs, mostly triggered when I was learning. I made a choice I couldn't do (my bad), but then the game wouldn't let me move forward so I had to restart. The game itself is fun and the three levels of AI are good as you're learning. I haven't tried it against anyone yet.

This game is made with the same android style kit that the rest of the Rosenberg games are made with (controller, keyboard, mouse == pseudo-finger). It's not bulletproof, but it's a heck of a lot more robust than some reviews make it out to be. I would rate it as about double the reliability of the average browser game. I originally gave a bad review to Isle of Skye, having high expectations, but I've come to play that, this, and other Rosenberg games more than others, simply because these are the *only* broad-market (no "satan cards with grandma") alt boardgames on all of Steam with several ounces of ingenuity. The tutorial is pretty lean, but you can construe all that's necessary with a moment of focus, or a second time through. Quite a bit of effort goes into to formulating a single-finger average-double-integrity-than-the-average-web-game reforumlation-of-a-card-game pc game; So kudos to them for that.

I bought this because I wanted to try out the board game Agricola. I actually didn't realise that this is a digital version of the two-player-only version of Agricola, but that's ok. The game is a decent digital version of a board game, and the board game is alright. It definitely served its purpose for me, not bad.

A simple worker placement game where you can balance or focus your animal breeding to maximize victory points for your farm

The worst of all the digi diced board game adabtions. Full of bugs, crashes etc. When you copy-paste your whole layout make it at least work!

I love playing Agricola in real life, and I wanted to try out the digital version of All Creatures Big and Small before buying it for a friend and I to play (it's hard to get enough people to play the full version of Agricola). The user experience is horrible and the tutorials teach you nothing about how to play the game. If you bother to read the rules and figure out how to play, you still won't have any fun with this.

I don't know if All Creatures Big and Small is fun to play in person, but the digital version sure isn't.

Very unstable and buggy in online multiplayer.

Expect a lot of bugs when creating an online game and unhelpful generic messages likes "There was an error in the game.".

It feels like an unfinished product.

A low-quality, quickly made, cash-grab.

This is the digital adaptation of Agricola : all creatures big and small, Uwe Rosenberg's 2-player adaptation of famous Agricola. And it's a very decent board game.

But my increasing worry with digital adaptions of board games is that some studios working on digital adaptions of board game are seeing these as easy and guaranteed money. They don't need to do the game design, development and play-testing. The only work to do is the digital interface. Then, if the board game is good enough and the digital adaption is cheap enough, it will sell, to some extent, eventually. Which might be sufficient to turn a profit from the project and move on to the next quick and easy project.

DIGIDICED seems to have that mentality. They further minimise the work required by recycling their pre-game menus from game to game. Which is sad, since it's not very good.
A notable issue : the lack of text, even when mousing-over, means you have to figure out the menus from icons.

A specificity of this game is that, in the game (the real game, not the menus), you are not told the exact effect of each building, in terms of housing capacity. Even the tutorial doesn't make it very clear. You end up figuring out, but that's not how you play strategy board game.

I don't know how much all of this steams from cheaply porting the mobile version of the game to PC. Leaving "tap" instead of "click" in the tutorials certainly doesn't give the good impression. Overall, this is a very cheaply made game.

I have the tabletop version of Agricola and it was my first Uwe Rosenberg game that i fell in love with. I am delighted to play the digital version of it and enjoy it as much. The interface is superb but it does take a few games to get familiar with the different possibility and hierarchy f upgrades in the farm. The soothing background score does add and help in concentrating. I have mostly been playing with the AI with different settings and getting a grip on the game. In addition the automated resource fill up is a great feature that saves you time and confusion compared to tabletop game. I highly recommend the digital version if you like Agricola.

A straight port of a laughably half-assed digital board game for mobile devices. I love BGs and was looking forward to play some multi on this, but I doubt I will even try after my first singleplayer game. The game tells you to "tap" things at the very beginning and it only gets worse from there. The UI, arguably the most important aspects of a digital BG, is made by someone with no knowledge or even basic research of the field, the music and FX are acceptable at best and badly looped.
The game mostly works in its basic aspects, but there are bugs and glitches all over the place. The tutorial is bad.
If you love the original and want some solo play and are willing to overlook the awful presentation go ahead, everyone else should keep a safe distance. If there was any kind of quality control on Steam, this is one of the many games that would have never made it.

Very bad mobile port to PC. Terrible, predictable AI, music that will get on your nerves sooner than you'd imagine, and actually made me want to play the physical board game less after playing many games here.

Avoid, even on sale.

Picked this game up on sale, and wasn't expecting much, Digidiced really does gets a lot of unfair complaints and bad reviews from people here on Steam, I haven't tried the online play yet, but I played several games several off line against the AI, and its actually pretty good. This is a nice digital board game port with a decent amount of strategy. If you enjoy board games this is a good game to pick up especially on sale. I'm very happy with the purchase and I know I will play this many more times against the AI before it gets old.

This is very lacking compared to the standard Agricola boardgame. It's literally just the breeding portion of the game with no options to get more workers or anything else. I find the interface to be a bit clunky, the tutorial is often covering up the areas you need to see in order to learn the game, and I dislike the auto-placement of animals. I thought others may have been overly critical of that feature, but it really does take away some of the initial strategy and takes much longer to fix things later.

Overall this felt more like a race to follow a set winning strategy (playing against AI) than it did like a game that I could creatively play. Even playing on the easy setting I was nowhere near the skill level of the AI and didn't enjoy the game enough that I want to play it again. I'm glad I got it on sale, but I wouldn't buy it again given the choice.

A fantastic, smooth, adaptation of an amazing board game with support for Linux, Mac, and Windows.

Agricola: All Creatures Big and Small is one of legendary designer Uwe Rosenburg's better known games, and is well worth repeated play. This adaptation is a perfect translation of the board game to the screen, and I couldn't be more impressed.

My only complaint is that these developers don't have the licence for the full Agricola game, and haven't (yet!) adapted some of his other classics. I'd love to see At the Gates of Loyang, Ora et Labora, Caverna, or Glass Road here.

Agricola is a very good two player game and I like it very much. It is a low priced game that could entertain you for hours and hours in competative game play or just a few minutes per game to beat the AI or your best friend. It´s up to you.

"Agricola: All Creatures Big and small" is a good port from the board game to the digital world. Digidiced did it well to stay close to the original board game from Uwe Rosenberg. The game introduce you in the famers life by build up stables and pastures to gather and breed different animals. All rescourses living and natural have to be chosen wisely step by step as there is an opponent farmer on the other side of the fence that will go for their own good or constrain you in your effort to get your farm up and running. Watch out carefully what he is doing on the other side or follow up our own plan to win the match.

The game itself is divided in 3 steps per round and 8 rounds per game where you are able to choose to pick from different rescourses like wood and stone and wool or grassland or animals for breeding. Just a few samples - there are more available - you will figure them out easilly by playing the game. If you are stuck you could as well read the tutorial.

It could be played against another player in ranking style or by free game just to enjoy it. Matches against other players could be played right away in direct play or asynchron what will give you the time to play it over the day in any break or by free time in between. I really like this possibility!
You could play as well against 1 of 3 different AI´s from easy to difficult. If you are a rookie in the game the difficult AI will challenge you in different ways and tactics. Watch out what it is doing.

The game is including the first addon what give you the possibility to play with more than a dozen different buildings (4 by each game which you could choose by pick upfront or randomly by surprise) to bring up new tactics and possibilities.

The upside down of the game could be this asynchron play type that you could choose. Some people would like the way to play a handfull or more games simultaneously and are able to do it that way others won´t. I don´t think that it interfere the quality of the game itself what is really high and very well.

A good adaptation of the board game (All Creatures Big and Small, the smaller, 2 players version of Agricola, focused on animal husbandry). The interface works well, all is quick and clear. You can easily access the different screens and find information: your farm, the main board with the different actions (just click on them to see what they do), your adversary's farm. The tutorial is good. I also wanted to see the written rules, so I checked the board game manual on the net. For the moment, I'm still a beginner and I played against the AI (three levels of difficulty). The game is fun, not too difficult to learn, with interesting strategic possibilities. This adaptation is essentially the same than the mobile version (I think), including the extension. I just have minor nitpicks: it's written "tap" on the first screen, and there are no tooltips for the first menu buttons (at the beginning, I was wondering how to continue a game in progress - second button on the right). The graphics are nice enough, close to the board game, and the music and sound effects fit well with the theme.

so it is playable and only takes a little getting used to, not a pile o poo on your corn flakes, but ultimately still smells like lies when sold as a PC title.

The biggest problem this game has is the same as so many board games on the PC.
A lot fo the joy of the play is lost when so much of the game is automated, and there is no real personal interaction at the table, so it all feels a bit rinse repeat chore like rather quickly.

This is easy to see in Dominion. Play at home wiht buds and even a group that plays it a lot. This will play so differretnly from the vibe you get playing online. Where the play is not the thing, but more reaching the game end and determining a victor as time efficently as possible. I just belive that only a speciffc group of players is as into the endless grind of nameless faceless oponents one after the next, for a turn based board game watching their ELO.

While the larger chunk of board gamers, who keep game collections and a tagle to play on. Are going to enjoy the play of the game and the social aspacet of table top games, as a intresnic part of the game experience and pleasure sought. Which gets lost in the PC translation most days.



Ok so while the board game is a good one, this is a handheld presentation as is for the PC.

Basically the title screen simply says "tap to continue."
And in general i find the interface to come off as if no one really considered what a PC is vs. a tablet.

I do not want a refund. The company that makes this actual board game is great. I want this sloppy hack job presentation cleaned up in a way that says, PC market is not a shamless cash grab.

Probably not out of line for the handheld market expectations. Ways to go for claiming PC title.
Will give a yes when it beceoms clear the product is aware of what a PC is, and that it is in fact on one.
