Please note that Baseball Mogul Diamond does not include support for all of the advanced roster rules (such as enforcing a 40-man roster for each team or conducting the Rule 5 Draft). However, Qualifying Offers and Free Agent Compensation (via draft picks awarded in a "sandwich round") were added.

If you like baseball, you will get hours of enjoyment wiith this game,
If you want a game
that takes seconds to load & save,
has countless aspects of statistics,
allows for customization of players & ballparks,
can be played immersed or while you're watching TV,
has the option of "individual batter," "individual game," or "full season,"
. . . this is it.
Of course, they still have to work out the kinks with players who need a Porsche with a quadraphonic Blaupunkt.
Too confusing and not suitable for my style of play. I play historical leagues with mult-era leagues. I can't even set up the league properly!
This is a marginal thumbs down for me. Like a lot of recent baseball simulation games, Baseball Mogul is starting to hide success behind a variable data wall, that continues to change season to season.
Until this recent edition I found some high replay value in the "Historical" simulations as I could play the "Oracle" game, snag historical All-Stars and be assured of at least year to year Divisional dominance (not always World Series). However, now even that isn't even assured as I found that owning 10+ historical Hall of Fame players doesn't guarantee even a winning season. So, I have to say then "whats the point"? Why not simply use a random number generator or a set of dice.
What is there to not like,the game is fast you get every team for one price but what I like most is the lively crowd,it makes it feel like a real game, Playing the game is a lot of fun, if I could make a suggestion that I am sure many people have thought about, it would be great if you could make it possible to play a tourney platform between all different years.
If you are a fan of baseball from a managerial stand point, then this is the game to get. You have to be patient but it is still a game to pass time.

Terrible sim, nowhere near enough detail and baseball is about the details, if you want a great sim, try OOTP XX their 20th aniversary version. Best sim anywhere
This is a classic game. The best version of Baseball Mogul to date. I enjoy all of them but since I don't follow baseball as much as I used to, I don't care too much for modern rosters.
My favorite mode is the Expansion Draft. You can set your expansion team to be any of hundreds of cities (though there are maybe 10-15 viable ones, pretty much just go with Portland/Indianapolis/Charlotte/Las Vegas).
You can go way into the future with this game. I've gone as far as 2167 before. This is one of the most addictive games out there. It is much more accessible and less processor-intensive than OOTP. You can play it in the background while doing others things. The same can't be said for OOTP.
It Good
This game is a much easier ride than OOTP...and wow!...lots of fun...could standout more if there was a MOD or methodology that enabled the easy use BB cards as player photos from any given year. Not all that much difference from one year to the next it seems. But having played in past the improvements are felt.
Might consider adding additional difficulty levels, improving player info & bio and allowing some MODS.
I do recommend this game!
I got this and it was a nice surprise; it's like chess, but with baseball and without the actual gameplay. Would recommend it to anyone that likes management type games.

Baseball Mogul reminds me of an online game I used to play in browser mode back in 2006. I never thought I'd have so much fun with this type of games.
This is a fantastic game! I don't know why there are a lot of people hating. Not all games need to have great graphics or a nice storyline to be considered worthy of playing.

played game as boston red sox played my team went to the alcs and the game would go no further whats up with that
