Вы начинаете игру в качестве мелкого дворянина, находящегося на службе у своего короля. Ни одно прохождение не будет похоже на другие. Для этого игра заготовила для вас более десятка наций и более 50 лордов со своими скелетами в шкафах
В игру можно играть разными способами. Вас ожидает эпопея. Классический RTS-скирмиш с возможностью одиночной, кооперативной и многопользовательской игры. А сюжетная вступительная кампания познакомит игрока с тем периодом времени с помощью 9 созданных сценариев.
Все происходит в реальном времени, и все ваши действия постоянно сохраняется, даже во время боя. Вторых шансов тут не бывает. Передумать не получится.
Это первая игра, объединившая геймплей Fixed Force и RTS. Ведя армию в бой, вы также можете обустраивать осадный лагерь или город, собирать ресурсы и обучать новые войска прямо по ходу сражения.
Битвы поистине эпичны – до 120 батальонов в каждом сражении. Кровавые осады, полевые сражения и морские войны разворачиваются с жестоким историческим реализмом и элементами выживания. Среди таковых элементов: лутать трупы и целые города ради ресурсов.
Вы можете распоряжаться всем в мельчайших деталях, захватывая города в режиме RTS. Давайте задания своим крестьянам, стройте здания и стены, расставляйте войска. В то же время вы можете управлять всем на карте мира.
В позднем Средневековье человечество увидело много технологических прорывов. В игре это представлено сложным историческим технодревом – более 240 инноваций и местных технологий, от религиозных до военных и инновационных осадных тактик.
Жизнь лорда заставит вас поучаствовать и в сложной феодальной системе в своём королевстве. Служите своему королю и поддерживайте отношения с коллегами-лордами, а также влияйте на большую европейскую политику.
Вы даже можете поднять восстание и свергнуть своего короля. Это выводит игровой процесс на совершенно новый уровень. Нанимайте новых лордов, делите между ними земли и участвуйте в сложной дипломатической системе европейской политики.
Вас ждёт прекрасный, живой и постоянно меняющийся игровой мир. На карте Западной Европы почти две сотни городов и деревушек. Города представляют собой огромные исторические репродукции реальных средневековых городов, созданные вручную.

Really shoddy, without a whole lot of thought seemingly put into it. Stone mines in the town square. Can't control your army during sieges unless you transferred the whole thing to the town beforehand.
Absolutely atrocious, aggressively stupid AI: I lost a town because the AI took over my army and (instead of defending the castle when the victory condition was to last 13 minutes) went f*cking off to blob-attack enemy troops on the other side of the map. Enemy armies a fraction of the size of yours will attack one after the other--when they have no chance of winning.
Why do attackers in sieges--or for that matter, *anyone* in field battles--start with a keep and build a town? It doesn't make sense.
Clunky controls: can't back out of the steward without opening and closing the menu. No save option. Can't execute facing movements while defending a castle because it moves the camera.
Overall, just a series of really baffling design choices that left me wondering if this was just left unfinished or if it was made by a child.
Played this game years ago. Wanted to play again. When I launch the game I see a white screen and then it crashes. I looked up some solutions and none of them have worked. Not worth the hassle. Fix your game.

I mean years ago that would be forgiven. But still this terrible is rather unique.
Bought this like 5 years ago but didn't get into it, saw the potential though and it was and is only a couple of hours of paid work to get anyway.
It's had over 40 updates of some description and the developers seem to be rather active. It's got much prettier than I remembered it being and the maps a lot bigger and the controls are fine and you don't need things to be perfect to have a good game.
It's fun enough, a good historical period, the mechanics are easy to understand, just needs spacebar pause/unpause hotkey and it's as good as it needs to be.
I wanted to like this game but it just isn't good. The tutorial is probably the best part. Its a pretty decent overview of game mechanics. The graphics are pretty bad. The game play is repetitive. The combat and lack of saved files kill this game. In the tutorial it appears balanced but on the campaign its different. combat overall is pretty slow. Archers appear to do no damage. At the start of my campaigns, two different ones, I have lost an equal battle by a significant amount. In the one before this review, the scots had 2 pikes, 3 mace, 2 archers, 2 levy. I had 2 pike, 2 mace, 3 archers, 4 levy, and a guard calv unit. The scots army rushed without building and even tho I met their army I got slaughtered. On medium difficulty. Since there are no save files, I can't attempt to repeat this battle so my campaign is over and I had just finished spending an hour doing the in city city building for all my cities / villages. I got further in my first campaign but a similar thing happened with an ambush on my main city. It's just not fun to do the same in city building over and over again for the terrible combat.. I get that some people don't like loading save files but some people do and its useful for people either learning or wanting to jump up the difficulty without the risk of losing an entire campaign due to taking on more of a challenge.

I'm enjoying the campaign - particularly the battles.
The world map is very well done and reminiscent of maps of old.
For a 2 person studio, your work is impressive.
Medieval Kingdom Wars, an amazing grand strategy medieval game, well ahead of its time and to this day 7 years later the developers still pour love into this wonderful passion project.
Pros: One of the most in depth military wise grand strategy games I've ever played, from the unit types to research and types of battle and how dense and down the wire they get, it doesn't disappoint.
Soundtrack, it has a nice soundtrack that can go very well with certain situations in battles.
Graphics, as of now you couldn't really tell this is a game from 2017, the graphics are nice and smooth and makes every battle look as good as they sound.
Variety of nations, there is about a dozen to choose from each with several lord options to choose from.
Game play density, there is hours of content to sink into, it took me 24 hrs of total playtime to conquer Europe, there's an immense amount of strategy in war and even diplomacy to dive into and an economy to manage to make all this possible.
Price, 9.99 normally, I got it for 5.99 on sale, that's a steal!
Cons: Really the only gripe I have is that the replay value isn't very high outside trying another kingdom.

Yes, but with qualifications. if you,ve played any of the Total Wars, and liked them, you'll enjoy this.
