UNO is one of those timeless games that I absolutely adore. It’s simple, it’s fast-paced, and it’s always a blast—whether I’m playing with friends on a lazy afternoon or during a lunch break at work. The beauty of UNO lies in its simplicity. You don’t need complicated rules or hours of preparation; just a deck of cards and you’re good to go. I’ve played it in every possible setting, from the beach to the office, and it never gets old.
What really sets UNO apart for me is how easy it is to jump in and start playing, no matter where you are. It’s a universal game—everyone knows the rules, and everyone can get involved. That’s why it’s such a cultural phenomenon. Whether it’s a competitive round of UNO at a summer party, or a casual match with coworkers, it always brings people together. And let's not forget the competitive side of it. I pride myself on being a UNO master. I’ve honed my skills over the years, and I know exactly when to play my cards, whether it’s dropping a +4 on an unsuspecting friend or strategically holding onto my Skip card to dominate the round.
There’s something about the thrill of being one card away from victory and the heart-racing moment when someone says, "UNO!" that just never gets old. It’s the perfect mix of strategy and luck, and I wouldn’t trade it for any other game. UNO is a classic, and it will always hold a special place in my heart. It’s not just a game; it’s a culture, a shared experience that brings people together no matter where you are. That’s why I’ll keep playing it, wherever I go.
Great and fun game with friends, very classic but not worth the price.
Too expensive for what you get.
The requirement for an Ubisoft Connect-account is ridiculous for such simple game.
Inviting friends takes forever to appear and it's buggy.
Also with 3 people, I can't get rid of the cheater-AI.
It's Uno, you'll have a good time. (personally though just get the real card game and play with your friends in real life, I understand it's less convenient but it will always be the better experience)
the AI has an insane advantage, poorly coded making it not fun.
ubisoft makes their games unusable thanks to their launcher ubisoft connect
Great Gameplay, Great Bundle from a Spring Sale! Plus, A bit of a whole digital collection around Ubisoft, I would love to warm myself up with some friends. Wish there were more than 4 Plays together though.
they put drm on a fucking card game . a salt covered slug runs better than this game
No option to play without bots in lobbies of less than 4 players, even 7 years after the "game" came out. So you're forced to play with 2 bots that will either be extremely smart or extremely dumb with no middle ground, and may take forever to "choose their move".
Not to mention the fact that there is no fullscreen window mode, only windowed or fullscreen, and the windowed mode doesn't even let you maximize it for easy use.
A Ubi soft account is required.
Even after the menus are laggy and joining friends is a chore and not easily done.
If this game was free I still wouldn't play it.
Sure, the card version you play with your friends and family is better, BUT this version is pretty alright. Not so glitchy in my experience, even when i'm playing it on the cloud through NVIDIA. The animations are also so nice and smooth. The only thing i have to say is stay away from the mobile version (Ex. On Google Play, App store) The mobile version is so blatantly rigged its amazing, and it just sucks all around.
Nearly 1 hour later we couldn´t even start a lobby together.
The game crashes as soon as you join a lobby with friends and if you manage to join without a crash, as soon as you start the round the game crashes...
They managed to made the worst experience you can get for playing online with friends, with something simple as UNO...
highly depends on who you play with like most things
lots of rules i was unfamiliar with spiced things up
It's been a year later they will never fix there game. I'm unable play 4th person join there game cause of random reason to join. Thanks Ubisoft waste our time hope you pass to different Company who are able fix the game.
I love UNO, but ubisoft can suck a dick. The shitty Ubisoft connect service makes this game almost impossible to play! Please make a piece of software that actually works instead of releasing more greedy cashgrabs and nonfuctioning games please!
Good luck trying to start a lobby with your friends.
It's UNO—I mean, you pretty much know what you're getting. Ubisoft still manages to mess it up by making it hard to play with friends, but hey, it's UNO. Isn't that all part of the fun anyway?
Why does this game require 7.2 GB of storage? That's like, twice the size of Spore or Katamari Damacy, three times the size of Goat Simulator, and MANY times the size of Terraria. I know there are much bigger games, but this is a CARD GAME. Also, it's slow and I don't want Ubisoft Connect so I hate this.
EDIT: The game size issue is because there are two copies of pretty much EVERY FILE in the game. At some point, they launched an update that basically just downloaded the whole game again and failed to delete the old files. This was FOUR YEARS AGO. Ubisoft can't code.
I like how it is the actual Uno game so when I can't play the physical copy I have a group of people I can play with online. I also like how I can set up which house rules I do or do not want.
Playing the game requires a Ubisoft Connect account, and you can only link your Steam account to one Ubisoft Connect account. If for whatever reason you lose access to the Ubisoft Connect account your Steam account is linked to, then you have to remove and repurchase the game and create a new Ubisoft Connect account just to be able to play it.
Games that require another account to play a game you purchased should be avoided at all cost.
FUN game. When you first start the game after buying it, Ubisoft app will ask for Activation Code even though you bought it off steam. Just press cancel, go back and restart the game. It should run fine, after.
Lots of fun and toxic (in a fun way) with friends and family!
The game force installs Ubisoft garbage. It took 10 minutes from being installed to being able to launch the game. The game itself looks like an awkward mobile game UI shoved on my screen. You can only play 4 players, constant disconnects with my friends, Ubisoft connect. Don't bother, you'd be better playing the discord version or even on tabletop simulator.
The game is great when you wanna play and you can play with others. Ubisoft is so bad though. Their support is miserable, They blame you for everything involving them. They make you buy everything separated. Honestly if they just stopped being the worlds worst DRM next to whatever EA tried I'd muscle up positive review.
You can buy this and play with friends / family. Just be warned if any of them make the mistake of trusting ubisoft you'll regret it.
The random online matchmaking has serious unfun rules that you cannot avoid playing with and creating my own lobby for random people to join doesn't seem to work.
Who thought that adding a rule like 'if you don't have a card to play that you need to pick up cards until you have ONE playable card to put down, resulting in potentially picking up 10+ cards before you get a playable card' was a good idea?!
For something as simple as UNO I have no idea how Ubi have managed to make it so unstable and buggy. Getting rooms setup with friends and invites is a mess that only works 50% of the time. Crashes frequently, avoid this and just play UNO in Tabletop Sim, at least it'll work..
Requires 3rd party app, then doesn't recognize it's own app it installed itself. Not worth the trouble.
Great game to play with friends, especially from different areas of the world.
Don't buy it through steam, it's a mess. If you really want it, get it through ubisoft connect(ubisofts far glitchier and more annoying game launcher). You could also do yourself a favor and instead save your money or spend it on a game that'll be much less of a hassle to access.
making a ubisoft account is stupid asf and there's no crossplay to my knowledge but it's uno, so you can't really go wrong with it, this game should be free tho
The launcher is just as frustrating as all the other reviews make clear.
Inviting friends into a lobby or even just accepting an invitation is unnecessarily complicated and buggy.
There's no way to adjust any settings while in a game or a lobby, whether it be resolution, fullscreen/windowed, or audio volume (and the audio is obnoxiously loud by default).
one of the worst log in experiences that exists, HOW it is even possible for a game to be this fucking bad to log in, fuck ubisoft, theyre actually trash and need to go bankrupt sooner
Don`t remember how many years ago I bought it, but you pretty much can not play it online with friends because it expects you to be able to port forward something wifi bla bla unplayable just buy the cards in a store and you`re much better off.
A very fun game. The best thing about the virtual version is that you can also play singleplayer with bots as your opponents.
- UNO itself is fun. The launcher experience, is not. If you're willing to work through the problems that can and will happen with the launcher, you'll have an otherwise great time.
Runs under Proton on Linux.
Game is a tad bit buggy; but a generally enjoyable time if you have a group of friends with you.
One round can last multiple hours at times though...
AI will magically pull out almost nothing but +2s, +4s, and skips whenever they are forced to draw a card, but it's still fun with friends or randos. The DLC is overpriced for what it is, so don't bother with that. Also certified Ubisoft moment with people randomly disconnecting as is standard for their online games.
Bought with wrong Ubisoft account and they refuse to transfer it. Direct quote from Ubisoft Support: "We are not able to transfer the games to the account/from the account you requested. This is all according to internal policies. We cannot elaborate any further."
So now I can't play Uno and have no way to resolve this. I'll likely be refunding soon.
Ubisoft is the pinnacle of human greed. Placing their games up on steam just to force you to make a ubisoft account and GOD forbid you accidentally activate the game on a different account. That shit is GONE, reduced to fucking ATOMS.
FUCKING ATOMS.
Geniunly just wanted to play it with my friends, but no, I had to go through Ubisoft support for hours only for them to tell me there was nothing they could do. I was immediatly fucked the moment I bought the game and I couldn't even get a refund. Ubisoft is a shitty corperation that should be closed down or bought by EA and then burned to the ground.
Milk, milk is great. I like milk. Milk, what is milk? Is it food? Is it liquid? A state of transendence? Could milk be used to solve world hunger, or save countless lives suffering from bone cancer. I think maybe. Milk might be the answer to life, to love, to all. I love milk. I love milk almost as much as I love denmark. Denmark is my love however, forever and ever.
Denmark is the best country, anyone who says otherwise is simply not knowledgable.
games great but ubisoft needs to remove the limit to how many cards can be drawn. my friend crashed the bots by making it so that there is 111 cards in play. the limit is 112. the bots dont know what to do when there are no more cards that can be drawn and just give up
Ubi legit has the worst fucking support! I bought the game December 2024 when it got on sale so I could play with my brother and friends. After buying, ubisoft launcher starts, I make a new account and I got "Game linked to different account" and "last played 2021" on a new ubi account (cuz who even has a fucking ubi when you have steam!??)
Wrote to ubi support and they've closed 3 tickets so far claiming it "fixed" without actually doing anything, currently on 4th ticket.
Absolutely trash and disgusting service on Ubi's end. Got asked for uncropped screenshot of everything including personal data. This by itself feels extremely sketchy and honestly would have asked for full refund if I didn't get it for dirt cheap.
You'd write less on a whole year of university than writing to ubi's atrocious service.
stay FAR from this scammy practice by ubi. Get yourself a beer or coffee and you'll have a better time and save a lot more time. FUCK ubi!
Its alright but not great. For some reason the audio levels resets when you restart the game and that makes me lose my hearing every damn time istg.
Its the most fun to play with a group of friends obviously. The bots are not great and I'm missing a rejoin option after a disconnect
A decent Uno game, if only it didn't require Ubisoft connect bullshit so you could actually play it on steam deck no hassle. It's a decent way to play uno and the best way to play it online with friends, but again ubisoft jank makes this hard to enjoy
Fuck this ubisoft acc req, I just wanna play the game but first I need to let ubisoft take control over my PC then install their launcher and have an acc in their launcher to play a uno game, fk this
genuinely one of the most frustrating games to launch, ubisoft connect wont let play, the amount of bullshit i have to deal with and i still cant login and play with my friends. i own the game but cant play because ubisoft has the worst software and support, a game i paid money for to own on my computer
Breaks friendship and mental health but atleast the game works good
Great atmosphere, but it's not clear why need a Ubisoft launcher
If you love simple board games, and you don't always have time to get together with your friends
I didn't spend much time playing this game, but I liked it and want to come back and play again. The gameplay is very simple click on the cards. The graphics are nice, have a classic style, and there are also options for customizing the design to your like.
It's a simple project to plunge into a simple online board game, hang out and spend time without breaking a sweat.
But every time before launching the game, there is a pause, and waiting, and often a connection or linking of the Ubisoft account through the launcher. But why do this and what is it for? It's quite unpleasant.
Worst way to spend your money?
Buy this game!
Joking aside, Ubisoft is letting it die without any worthy update...
It's really frustrating when games have achievements on their own platform but don't add them on Steam. If this keeps happening, I'll be leaving negative reviews for every game I buy on Steam that doesn't include achievements. Developers need to realize how important this feature is to players like me. Im almost done gathering all the achievements on ubisoft side.
Its a great game i had no issue. Just tried of ubisoft cheating me out bunch of lazy Dev doing stuff half a** all the time. Take a look at couple of their releases.
Game doesn't work anymore sadly L DEVS. Inviting friends doesnt work 90% of the time then loading the game is another waste of time. the best part is MY STATS GOT WIPED AND MY DLC WAS REMOVED DO NOT BUY THIS WITH UR FRIENDS L DEVS
Uno is a testament to how even the simplest of concepts can be fumbled spectacularly by Ubisoft
