Cute game idea marred by bad UI. Multiple tries needed just to move one animal to another spot because it's so hard for clicks to register. Plus, I don't get the quest interface. The quests just pile up and I have no idea what's completed or not.

Niche is a very fun, complete, game. The story mode is a "story" in a very loose sense of the word, but it is quite challenging.

Good idea, bad execution. The UI and everything is simply becoming unmanagable and gene unlock criterias has taking all the fun.

Niche is a relaxing, fun game that I love playing while listening to audiobooks or watching my favorite TV shows. It goes at your own pace, it's wonderfully creative, and the more I play the more I discover. One of my favorite games to play on the regular!
I find it relaxing to play this game. Its a fun way to see how animals can evolve. I would like to be able to register and/or have acess to the whole familly tree, even when all animals have died, to have a way to look back into that familly history.
I love this game so much and it is one of my childhood favorites. i used to watch siri play it all the time. still love it to this day and i give it a 10/10

Great game with a pretty novel concept, not the genetics survival aspect but the world of niche, soudtrack, the creatures, and every other little thing about it is so refreshing to experience! But I have to say I quite enjoy the original betas the game had put out rather than the current version. It's just simpler to follow and less stressful in some way? - when playing with the genetics and mutations. Also graphics are much nicer to look at (a lot brighter!). All of which drew me to this game in the first place, just overall more enjoyable! So I hope they update the current game to be more like the older beta versions- at least the graphics aspect. Regardless it's a great game and I am at least glad that we have the option to play the older beta versions on steam! :]

best game ever and heres a challenge for it so you do this in sandbox and start with a male that has megaleceros horns peacock tail and blue eyes he CANNOT have derp snout by any means and by the way before i continue thank you so much for having a seri bixel biloligist vid as a trailer im not allowed to watch yt anymore and it brings joy to my heart to hear her voice and see her gameplay im so happy but anyway back to the challenge and have the rest of the group females of any gene pattern and make rules and have a derp snot female this is the derp police who brings justice if a nichling did something wrong and have him\her correct or punish the rulebreaker and i agree with bonobo it also helps with my atisum and etc but back to the seri vid ad someday il ask my parents to let me watch her channel again C:

The concept is great but execution could be better. There are quite a few grammar mistakes and the only input is essentially clicking. Only having three actions a day makes the short lifespans of story mode more of a headache. If you do wish to get this game, get it on sale.

This fuels my autism in every conceivable way. If you like animals, biology, genetics, and chaos get this game you wont regret it.

as someone with maybe too many hours in this game, I love it
it's a good game to turn your brain off for if you want a simple game to just keep yourself busy - but it's also a game where there are rewards (be them achievements or unlocking genes) for when you want to put your mind to something and work towards something
the challenge runs people make for this game is also enjoyable <3
while I will admit that I don't play this game every single day and it's not the most complex of games, it's still fun enough that I always have something to do when I hop back into it. It has its charm and that's what keeps me coming back.
Very good game
This game is pretty roundly terrible. I honestly can't imagine how anyone finds it fun with animals dying constantly to no-functionality nonsense. It's practically anti-evolution as a game because evolution just continuously fails and stuff just doesn't live that long, stuff dies from the "common cold," and there don't seem to be any genes for not dying because you sneezed.

I watched Seri Pixel Biologist play this from beta to final form, I love the ability the game has to be as creative or basic as you want without pressure. The sandbox mode is almost creatively limitless, but the story mode is just as cool to try to experience. A chill, fun biology game, enjoy!
very good game but kind of glitchy- a few times my islands will instantly go extinct even if they were thriving when i exited to main menu last. and i exited to main menu because the day counter broke and wouldnt work. but dont let this discourage you, i love this game :)
A good game to play if you feel like chilling out
i love this game soo much. i first saw it years ago and now that im finally able to play i am. a tad addicted. while obviously its not a perfect replica of how natural selection would take place it is SO cool to see how genes come in and out of your family tree as your creatures become more developed and suited for their environment, and how in some cases disability and such can be a positive in survival. i love this game and i love biology ^_^
I have killed so many bloodlines, its crazy.
too much, the images and idea suggests an in depth breeding kind of game breeding to survive but its bloody painful to play i spent so long just trying to find another creature to breed with i died...on top of that the max is three moves a go and just ugh for me it was too many limits with not enough give back think i will try and refund this.
An interesting take on a strategy game. I play for 4+ hours at a time and I'm still not bored. The animation, story, and NPCs are unique and captivating. Wonderful game.

I've been loving this game for half a decade and never got tired of it! Both the story mode and sandbox mode gave me hours of fun and the possibilities for own personal challenges, limitations and options for customization are nearly endless. Recommending it to all gamers who like cute animals and are fond of cozy strategy games with lots to discover and many goals to achieve!
game gave me depression i get so far and die out
According to simple models, animals may be expected to make optimized decisions, such as when the benefits of moving to a new area outweigh the risks, or how to act in intraspecific competitions. It's not quite always like that in real life, which is the only excuse I have for how bad I am at this game. I make more bottlenecks than a glass factory.
