- Street brawling in 1080! For the first time ever, your favorite Neptunia characters will have to hack ‘n’ slash their way through waves of enemies in real time! In the free-roaming stages, you’ll get to create chain combos both on the ground and in the air, all with 1080p graphics!
- Two-person party! With the Dual System, you’ll be able to switch between two characters on the battlefield. Balance out each character’s strengths and weaknesses to create the ultimate battle duo, and even get some new playable characters – some of whom might be familiar from previous Neptunia games.
- Let’s get physical! The heat of battle can cause some wear and tear on your outfits. When you experience a “Costume Break,” your outfits will tear, lowering your defense but increasing your critical rate and EXE Drive Gauge. The road to comebacks is paved with ripped fabric!
- Skills get the kills! Fill up the EXE Drive Gauge in order to clear the room with two tiers of special attacks, and you might just get a helping hand from your friend later on to perform some super special attacks!

another crummy neptunia game, the 1st one was enough.
Who knew that the goddesses of gaming could be such skilled fighters? Hyperdimension Neptunia U: Action Unleashed takes the series' signature blend of humor and self-awareness and throws it into a high-octane, hack-and-slash extravaganza.
Imagine a world where Neptune, Noire, Vert, and Blanc trade in their turn-based tactics for lightning-fast combos and devastating special moves. It's a sight to behold, and it's just as hilarious as you'd expect. The game's over-the-top action, coupled with its quirky characters and absurd plot, makes for a truly unforgettable experience.
While the story may be a bit of a mixed bag, the gameplay more than makes up for it. The combat is fluid and satisfying, with plenty of opportunities to unleash powerful attacks and chain together combos. Plus, the character customization options are extensive, allowing you to dress up your favorite goddesses in a variety of ridiculous outfits.
If you're a fan of the Hyperdimension Neptunia series or just looking for a fun, mindless hack-and-slash game, Hyperdimension Neptunia U: Action Unleashed is definitely worth checking out. Just be prepared to laugh, scream, and possibly question your sanity.
Standard fare spinoff title for this franchise. Contender for one of the weakest entries in their spinoffs among the many, many titles in the slop that is Neptune subgames. This one's a hack and slash beat-em-up thing akin to a Musou game with none of the heart or effort of one. There's no rewarding progression, combo sequences are jank, hitstun is jank, mechanics aren't balanced in tandem with their purpose, and there's so much reused content (including dialogue). Do not buy this game, even on sale. If you're wanting to play an Action title in the Neptune series, try Cyberdimension or the Senran Kagura crossover.
Neptunia U is fun in parts, but the Gameindustri Gauntlet is the ultimate trigger. It’s more frustrating than completing Elden Ring, and the insane loading times just make everything worse. Prepare to lose your patience before you lose the game!

This is the best of the Tamsoft made Neptunia games and the shortcomings present even in the later titles such as bad AI can be overlooked due to the amount of enemies present in screen. On this one gameplay actually feels fast and hitting enemies feels satisfying.
It does get repetitive specially with quests such as "kill 1500 enemies", the story is there, I kinda just ignored because I don't like Famitsu and Dengekiko. However if you just want a casual smash button fest this one is the least egregious of all "action" Neptunia games, it does not have multiplayer but honestly neither MegaTagdimension and Cyberdimension because those are broken anyway.
If you are a hardcore Neptunia series fan, go for it. Otherwise, perhaps buy this when it's on discount.
- This series is quite an old one, plus they do not have a high budget, so the graphics is meh
- 100% achievement grinding is INSANELY tedious due to the Lily Rank system
- It's probably better to play with a controller than a keyboard
- This is an attempt of them making an ARPG game than the ordinary turn-based game, but if I were to pick one I would choose 4GO over this.
A surprisingly challenging and frenetic one vs a thousand (or hundred) gameplay where the enemies are moderately aggressive.
A good fun game to get on sale.
My first hack and slash
I enjoyed playing the game what I didn't enjoy was the problematic writing the game goes out of its way to tell you that the characters are underage and really don't like their clothes ripping off but then the game does it anyway. you can skip the dialog and mash the Ingame cutscenes and just play the game as I did what an unpleasant waste of the writer's time this game was.Don't let the reviews fool you. MegaTagmension blanc is less enjoyable that this one.
