not as fun as I remember it being, quite repetitive.
Works perfectly fine on handheld devices like the steam deck this game design is great using touch screen. Wish this little gem would get a remaster with better resolution fr handheld gaming.
Loved playing this game growing up and I still love coming back to it now as an adult. It's not the most impressive game but it's simple and fun. Well worth picking up on sale or as part of the bundle.
An easy to get into game that picks up pace by the 3rd world or so. There's a timer at all times, where I never felt rushed if I wanted to just finish the level, but it definitely gets harder to hit the "bonus" times. Something I played a lot way back when it came out, I wouldn't say it's the best Build-A-Lot, but it's definitely a great entry in the franchise.
Build a Lot starts with this game which is very simple in comparison to its sequels, has dated graphics, yet its a good game that just deserves some love, cause every franchise must start somewhere. Yes, there's no appeal, thus no painting or landscaping houses, no parks or public spaces, so no variety, heck, even the service and work buildings are not really that useful, no influential mechanics or gimmicks such as the Town of the Year voting (2), Emergencies (3) or Power (4), its a simple game, for a simple time, what can i say, you can buy it on sale or as a bundle cause it's not really worth playing if you're not really nostalgic about it.
Good game anyways, barely gets a recommendation from me. Again, if you're looking for gameplay, go play the other three, and if you're looking for a really polished experience go play Power Source which feels the most flesh out of the four.

I love Build-A-Lot. It's an amazing game that has kept me entertained for over ten years no matter the computer or pc. I would absolutely recommend this game to anyone who is able to get their hands on it
my game always crashes and it did not save my progress. need to replay all the level. very dissapointing
nostalgia :D
the entire build a lot series is fun and challenging
