Excellent performance, gorgeous visuals, and plenty of difficult tracks. The problem is, as always, Uplay.
Game is fun, but the required Uplay (now Ubisoft Connect) that comes with the game is so out of date, it cannot auto update itself, and therefore cannot launch the game unless you manually install it. Once again, pirates get a better experience than the people who actually buy the game.
Other than that, the game is great. Plays amazing, and somehow looks better than Trackmania 2020. Highly recommend if you're okay dealing with Ubisoft's BS.
Leave it to Ubisoft to ruin a good thing.
Highlights
1. We can purchase the game via steam but to play it we need Ubisoft App (let that sink in)
2. Downloading Custom Maps is a joke now now. A real joke on the paying customers. (You have to try it to believe it, its so haphazardly put together system and it barely works.)
3. Online Servers are slow and cumbersome to join and Totally Empty.
4. Annoying "Diverse" Voices during races makes my head and my car spin out of control. (You know you can select your language in other games why pull this diverse joke Ubisoft why)
5. Menus are totally incompetent and confusing. (Menus inside Menus inside Menus inside .............)
6. Its Ubisoft ruining our favourite racing Series
7. Trackmania (2020) is a subscription based scam riddled with adware and bloatware and god knows what else.

To those who haven't purchased Turbo yet and are currently reading this
AVOID IT LIKE THE PLAGUE.
And stick to UNITED FOREVER and Trackmania 2. Those are the real Trackmania games.
The game cannot be started without manually installing ubisoft connect or installing a game that has ubisoft connect (like anno 1602 history edition).
One of the most fun couch party games you can put on. Extremely awesome.
Don't buy this on Steam, integration with UPlay is terrible. Buggy af.

Very good game to pass the time, the setup of having 3 tiers of completion per map is awesome. It's a complex game with a very simple gameplay style that will keep me entertained during short breaks
If you have UPlay problems, install Ubisoft Launcher from the Ubisoft Website (or with Protontricks if you're on Linux!), and try launching the game from Steam again.
Once you beat the initial step of Ubisoft letting you into the game, it's amazing and runs really well on any hardware!
This game is one of the best couch coop racing games. It has great couch coop features, 2 to four ppl driving one car, splitscreen and hot seat. It's rly a couch coop gem!!! Bad reviews are mainly because of the Ubisoft launcher. Pleas keep up the support for this awesome game.
This game works great on the steam deck. Unfortunately ubisoft is so terrible they refuse to update the launcher.
This game you paid for will steal from you with broken DRM that does not work, and the force worst launcher on the planet. Let me play offline for the product I paid for. This is absurd. Anti-consumer nonsense.
Dear Nadeo, your games are great. Please get away from ubisoft and consider self publishing or something. You would do so much better off without them taking a cut to mismanage your game, while providing no value in return. Don't just take it from me, check out ubi's stock. They are failing for a well deserved reason.

Once steam deck support and offline play is fixed I will change my review to positive, because the game is genuinely good.
Never buy a Ubisoft game. Ever. It doesn't matter how good the game is. You will have to deal with a launcher that doesn't work and will lock you out of the game you bought randomly. I love this game with my whole heart and this company ruins everything they touch
Buy anything else
Uplay is trash indeed. You have to manually download the new version and replace the old installer with it after you asked steam to verify game integrity in order to trigger the installation.
Other than that, works fine.

A time trial racing game with 200 maps and 4 different environments for you to complete and conquer - there is a quick reset button so if you do crash you can restart the level instantly
As a huge player of all the trackmania series Turbo is actually a really good game - ignore the multiplayer as its dead and is not the core part of the game - the main element is the single player campaign in which you time trial increasingly difficult tracks built over 4 environments
The game has fun music, nice visuals, good mechanics and the time trial aspect of trying to achieve bronze silver gold and trackmaster medals is a gameplay loop that doesnt get boring for me
If you manage to complete all 200 tracks then you are also rewarded with the ability too challenge for Super trackmaster medals which are times set by professional trackmania players
This game goes on 50% sale a lot so if you are considering it then id pick it up then - also I would recommend installing Open Planet which are community plugins/addons built to show things like medal times etc
8/10 Overall - fun game with a huge amount of content that almost always is on sale
