Like chess, but involving pirates on an interactive board. Turn based, but such a shame there's no online multiplayer option - you can play one additional player on your LAN though.
Not worth a dime, should be for free.; if existing at all.
Rather small map, 8 cities to conquer in total. Would say it´s a children´s version of Pirates meets Total War meets North&South, if it would not be so unfair. Even with an overforce of 4 to 1 you won´t beat the game, when not set to automatic combat calculation, just because you can´t act as quickly as the computer does, who controls all units at once while you waste time with clicking them. And then, if that´s not enough of a casket-nail for a game, your turns take about 1 minute, followed by four to six minutes of waiting for calculation processes, watching the enemy move, watching traders to move, watching storms and sharks to move. Who got time for that? Me not.
Very nice, simple game like North & South from Amiga with a new setting.
Very simple concept, not verry difficult. but for $3 its hard to be too hard on it. Good to fire up and kill an hour or so
The first thing you should know about the game is it was developed for iPads/touch, and little has changed with the port.
This is especially obvious when playing the mini-games, which are extremely difficult/impossible with keyboard/mouse, but can still salvage the game by choosing Automatic battles when creating a game. Sadly without the mini-games, this becomes a Conquest clone.
As far as multi-player, there is LAN only and share a PC options, so no internet gaming, if you were looking for that.
That said, for the $3 sale price it works.
