Sky Force Anniversary

Addictive. Graphics is smooth as butter on a Mac Mini M4 (2024 base model).

I dont like the game because of its graphic style. but its alrght i guess.

Love the game and sank hours upon hours into it, on the PS vita. Bet you'll like it too, if you're into the genre.

Gameplay like old Arcade or (S)NES Shmups, but with Progress and rewards systems. Run's smooth on nearly everything and works especially great on Handheld. Steam Deck Must have title.

Pick it up for next to nothing at nearly every sale, maybe even in a bundle with its successor "Sky Force Reloaded".

PS.: The Story is nothing to be excited about, but the boss-characters are super funny and make for great boss-fights!

Sky Force was originally a free-to-play game, and it shows in its addictive reward mechanics that always draw you back for another run. It's an undeniably fun, good looking shoot 'em up that I believe everyone should try!

So much fun to play with a friend or to zone out and play alone. Kind of an old school game with a modern look. Highly recommend.

Não tenho nem o que falar, sempre joguei a versão mobile, mas nã osabia que tinha pra PC, agora que descobri, já botei na conta kkkkkkkkkkk Quando finalizar esse, pego a versão "Reloaded".

More of a neutral thumb for this one, but defaulting to positive since I appreciate serious attempts to remaster or otherwise reboot older games. Sky Force Reloaded is proving to be a lot more fun for me, but mostly because ship controls in Anniversary feel oddly sluggish. The upgrade costs in both games are far too grindy, though. Beyond that, a decent and nostalgic arcade shooter experience.

I kinda wanted to write a review bout the 2nd game, Sky Force Reloaded. Since I played that game A LOT more on Switich, sadly I can't...
Anyhoo, I think this game is decent, but there is a good reason the other one get's way more praise. It's Sky Raise 2...and this is the base.
Imho the worst of these both is that both players need a copy... or at least someone has 20Mbit per person, well for the other it's 2p co-op. I'd love to play this with a friend, but my current upload is only like 8MBit...I've tried other options, but seems 'remote play' , just needs 8 Mbit for at least first player.....

Anyhoo, it's 1/2 of what the Reloaded offers, this one feels more like a tutorial in comparison. I almost finished main and haven't seen a single new ship....which is quite a feature/collectible in Reloaded.

I can only recommend this as a tutorial or 'easy mode' ... I LOVE this series, and I bet Reloaded is soo much fun to play.
OH!... This Anniversary versionis likely to be MUCH easier in solo..... 2nd/Anniversary kinda likes at least a 'extra drone'.
I've tried to look for anything simular ... I couldn't find any.

Only/biggest downside is no online coop... but I guess Remote Play Together is actually better, even though my shitty internet can't do it..... one can at least play with people that don't even own the game.
It's hard to beat that ... other than actually ALSO have internet play. :D

A nice game to play. Although it isn't Steam Deck verified, it runs flawlessly without any issue in Linux.

I played it on Android and now I play it with my kids on PC in couch-coop. Very nice indeed. Grafics are still good, gameplay feels good, difficullty is good. Its a bit grindy but thats ok. Its one of those games you play from time to time.

One of the classic vertical shoot 'em up games that's been revamped for the modern systems.
Will run on modest hardware, and while it isn't verified, this runs on the Steam Deck without issue.

Get the Anniversary & Reloaded bundle at sale. Absolutely worth it.

BEST THINGS ABOUT THIS GAME:
- forced fullscreen (not windowed)
- can't change keybindings
- can't use mouse or keyboard while the game is running if you alt+tab out
- un-skippable intro level when you first launch the game
- wont let you adjust volume or do anything while the un-skippable intro level is going.

Action packed game. Good balance. But I am stopping for now. I do not like that we are forced to replay missions to get medals in order to proceed. I don't mind repeating levels to collect currency to buy upgrades, but locked to earn medals to move on is a bit time consuming and gets boring really fast.

Not as much replay value in it as the mobile version, but it's still good.

Reloaded has "more" to do but this is still a fine time if you like what they call euroshmups.

The game is awesome, the only con is it doesn't have a fullscreen mode, it only runs on window :/
