Set in a futuristic world, your missions, as a mercenary, consist of flying the Raptor, a sophisticated combat craft and face the MegaCorps competitors through fierce air fights on diverse environments. Fight hordes of enemies, destroy their ships, collect the money and purchase more weapons to upgrade your Raptor jet.
You don’t fear to face hordes of relentless foes on the ground, in the air or on the sea, right?
A total of twenty-seven missions await you. Fasten your belt and get ready for the challenge of a lifetime. The growing difficulty in-game requires flying skills and eagle eye to survive. Are you strong enough to handle it?
MegaCorps’ competitors will do whatever they can to stop you in the air...event if it means to crash into your Raptor. Are you a good pilot enough to dodge them like a pro and defeat the different bosses that will stand on your way?

Memories come back to life with this oldie, especially during landing cutscene. Still (2025) pretty fun shmup game with 27 levels, numerous weapons and enemy types, to current standards graphics are outdated but not bad, anyone who played it at the time it was released won't be bothered by it anyway. Not sure what was added in the '2015 edition' besides achievements - one seems to be broken, as I fulfilled the requirements numerous times without unlocking it, only to work the other time.
The only thing I didn't like is the save system, as it creates new 'file' every time we save, which quickly leads to all slots being used.
Anyway It's few hours long, fun and cheap, so if you want to check how it was back in the days or just looking to take a short break from the games you usually play, go for it.

Raptor: Call of The Shadows - 2015 Edition is your standard, repetitive arcade game where every level, or sector in this case, is indistinguishable from the last, and much of the challenge lies in collecting as much money as possible while dodging minute projectiles that can easily blend into the background and fill the screen to near completion completely. Beyond its hackneyed design, the technical aspects are additionally lacking as crashes occur when attempting to read the built-in manual or changing the resolution to anything more than the usual simple, boxed-in DOS window. Make certain that you have your rose-tinted spectacles on or you might not even get through the menu before shutting down the program and never touching it again from there.
Classic jet fighter (Star fighter-type) platform. Cool system of turning kills to cash and letting you build your fortune on skill.

Paid for, downloaded, installed. Tried to play but game only uses keyboard - no mouse. No way. Requested refund.
The old classic. It's nothing fancy but it has a death ray. You can't go wrong with a death ray.
I played this game on windows XP using one of those 900+ games disks that were full of share ware and demos. Loved it then and love it now.
