This is a solid Prince of Persia game. If you like the previous ones you'll like this.
Smooth controls, good graphics and a short but enjoyable story. The ending was a bit easy but I enjoyed it more than i thought i would.
Most places in the game have bugs and it's terrible.
Totally ahead of its time
One of the Best Games ever from Ubisoft. I used to play it a lot during my childhood and now I wanted to give it a try again, doesn't disappoint. Worked on my Ultra wide monitor just fine, wasn't expecting it to have Ultra Wide Support. The Graphics and Controls also don't disappoint at all. Must play this whole series.
A nice addition to the beloved Sands of Time trilogy. Well worth ur time imo.
I had never played this game before, and just wanted to try it. I kinda liked the story and the atmosphere so I continued and finished the game a couple of days later.
I would recommend it, as it's a nice game with some good puzzles and platforming, which gets clever and tricky some times. But there is a good amount of bugs in the game. Sometimes when you get hit, prince falls to the ground and can't get up for a couple of seconds no matter what you do ( unless you rewind the time). This happened many times to me, the most annoying was when it happened on repeat during the final boss fight. Prince would just fall and get stuck, and then die after getting hit because I couldn't move him. I also got stuck in mid air a couple of times during the final boss fight as well. Overall it wasn't a hard boss fight, so I managed to complete it in the end.
nostalgic
The game is a solid 7/10. Its not the best of pop, but it is fun. As well as a throw back to a simpler time in gaming before the life service craze.
NICE GAME MUST BE PLAYED
Wii version >>>>>>>
I have been a fan of the Prince of Persia franchise from the time I learnt about games. Having owned a console, it was really hard for me to get a hold of this game. I am so glad I was able to get this on steam.
Honestly, I have nothing much to write about what I like about this game because I like it all. This game by far I believe at the time it came, had a very complex game mechanic which made it difficult and interesting both compared to its predecessors. I missed the acrobatics which were there in the original Prince of Persia Trilogy but the game compensates that with much wider game power-ups. I am still trying to get all the power-ups as I was not able to get them the last time when I played this game, long long ago.
how can I refund my money , its only a dark screen and nothing for me , help
Very good game highly recommended to people to try out the entire series
GG.
Nice gameplay
Genesis 6
The Wickedness of Humankind
6 When people began to multiply on the face of the ground, and daughters were born to them, 2 the sons of God saw that they were fair; and they took wives for themselves of all that they chose. 3 Then the Lord said, “My spirit shall not abide[a] in mortals forever, for they are flesh; their days shall be one hundred twenty years.” 4 The Nephilim were on the earth in those days—and also afterward—when the sons of God went in to the daughters of humans, who bore children to them. These were the heroes that were of old, warriors of renown.
5 The Lord saw that the wickedness of humankind was great in the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of their hearts was only evil continually. 6 And the Lord was sorry that he had made humankind on the earth, and it grieved him to his heart. 7 So the Lord said, “I will blot out from the earth the human beings I have created—people together with animals and creeping things and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.” 8 But Noah found favor in the sight of the Lord.
Noah Pleases God
9 These are the descendants of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his generation; Noah walked with God. 10 And Noah had three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
11 Now the earth was corrupt in God’s sight, and the earth was filled with violence. 12 And God saw that the earth was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted its ways upon the earth. 13 And God said to Noah, “I have determined to make an end of all flesh, for the earth is filled with violence because of them; now I am going to destroy them along with the earth. 14 Make yourself an ark of cypress[b] wood; make rooms in the ark, and cover it inside and out with pitch. 15 This is how you are to make it: the length of the ark three hundred cubits, its width fifty cubits, and its height thirty cubits. 16 Make a roof[c] for the ark, and finish it to a cubit above; and put the door of the ark in its side; make it with lower, second, and third decks. 17 For my part, I am going to bring a flood of waters on the earth, to destroy from under heaven all flesh in which is the breath of life; everything that is on the earth shall die. 18 But I will establish my covenant with you; and you shall come into the ark, you, your sons, your wife, and your sons’ wives with you. 19 And of every living thing, of all flesh, you shall bring two of every kind into the ark, to keep them alive with you; they shall be male and female. 20 Of the birds according to their kinds, and of the animals according to their kinds, of every creeping thing of the ground according to its kind, two of every kind shall come in to you, to keep them alive. 21 Also take with you every kind of food that is eaten, and store it up; and it shall serve as food for you and for them.” 22 Noah did this; he did all that God commanded him.
This game is good with better graphics but bruh faak ubisoft

This game is more of a buggy mess than the PC version of the original trilogy. The most annoying bug by far is getting stuck after being hit and falling to the ground.
Also, it needs Ubisoft Connect and an internet connection to be played.
Good game. Must play.
Apart from small game, it is amazing and meets the criteria for a POP game
Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands feels like a return to form for the series, offering an action-packed adventure filled with acrobatic platforming, intense combat, and a captivating story. Released in 2010 as a companion to the Sands of Time trilogy, this title takes place between the events of The Sands of Time and Warrior Within, making it a direct continuation of the classic narrative. While it doesn’t quite reach the heights of its predecessors, The Forgotten Sands is still a thrilling and enjoyable experience that captures the essence of what fans love about the franchise.
The story centers around the Prince, who arrives at his brother Malik’s kingdom only to find it under siege by an army of ancient, supernatural creatures. Malik, in his desperation, has unleashed the powers of an ancient curse, which threatens to destroy the entire world. As the Prince, you’ll have to navigate through perilous environments, solve environmental puzzles, and battle enemies in order to undo the damage and restore balance.
One of the highlights of The Forgotten Sands is its fluid, fast-paced platforming. The game retains the franchise’s trademark wall-running, ledge-grabbing, and acrobatic movements, making for some spectacular traversal sequences. Whether it’s running up a collapsing wall or jumping across treacherous ledges, the fluidity of movement is both satisfying and visually impressive. The level design does an excellent job of using these abilities, offering varied and challenging platforming sections that keep you on your toes throughout the game.
Combat, while enjoyable, doesn’t evolve much from the earlier entries in the series. The Prince wields a sword and can chain together combos to take down enemies in stylish, fluid sequences. The addition of elemental powers, which the Prince can harness during combat, adds a nice tactical layer, allowing you to freeze enemies, unleash fire attacks, or create shields to protect yourself. However, despite the variety of moves and powers, the combat can sometimes feel repetitive, especially when facing the same types of enemies in large waves. It doesn’t offer the depth or intensity that some might expect from modern action games, but it still manages to be satisfying for fans of the franchise.
The game’s visuals, while not groundbreaking, are certainly pleasing for the time. The environments are lush and vibrant, filled with towering ruins, dangerous sandstorms, and beautiful palaces. The art direction captures the mystical and exotic atmosphere of the Prince’s world, giving each area its own distinct flavor. While the character models and animations are solid, the game’s occasional camera issues can be frustrating, especially during tight platforming sections. A more responsive camera system would have made the experience smoother, but it’s a minor annoyance in an otherwise visually appealing game.
The narrative is engaging, though somewhat predictable. The dynamic between the Prince and his brother Malik serves as the emotional core of the story, exploring themes of redemption, betrayal, and the consequences of seeking power beyond one’s control. The Prince’s character arc, while not as deep as in The Sands of Time, is still compelling enough to keep you invested in his journey. The voice acting is solid, with Yuri Lowenthal returning as the Prince, delivering a performance that conveys the character’s usual wit and determination.
One of the game’s strongest elements is its environmental puzzles, which require creative use of the Prince’s abilities. These puzzles are integrated well into the platforming, often demanding quick reflexes and clever thinking to solve. The game introduces mechanics like the ability to manipulate the environment by freezing water to create platforms, adding a layer of complexity to the puzzle-solving experience.
While The Forgotten Sands doesn’t reinvent the wheel, it successfully recaptures the magic of The Sands of Time. The game offers a balanced blend of action, platforming, and puzzle-solving that makes it a satisfying experience for fans of the series. It’s not as groundbreaking as its predecessors, but it’s a fun, nostalgic trip back to a time when platformers ruled the gaming world.
If you’re a fan of the Prince of Persia franchise, The Forgotten Sands is definitely worth playing. It doesn’t reach the narrative or gameplay heights of Sands of Time, but it’s a solid, enjoyable adventure that scratches that Prince of Persia itch. The combination of platforming, elemental powers, and intriguing story makes it a worthwhile, though not essential, entry in the series.
Rating: 7/10
Coolest Prince of Persia Game ever
excellent game and good graphics and the combat style is improved but still its not on the level of warrior within story line
Idk where the positive reviews are coming from, but this is quite literally the only Prince of Persia I can't play thanks to Ubisoft Connect requirement, neither in the Steam Deck, nor in Windows PC, even 11.
I love this franchise, and I remember playing it on the 360, and until now, I can't play it on PC.
It's the best Prince of Persia (for me), after the original trilogy.
Original trilogy has much better memorable story, only visuals are nice here.
nice story and gameplay
took me only 5.7 hours to complete the game but it was fun. A bit clunky compared to the first three games, but unlike the 2008 game it went back to the original gameplays style which I can appreciate. The combat is a bit more stiff then the original 3 as I said but I enjoyed my time. Not to difficult. Just don't take it to serious. Its a good time killer :D
Uplay... auto thumbs down no matter what.
7/10 - The game is good, its worse than the previous 3 but still a decently good, enjoyable Price of Persia game. I don't really like the extended parkour in this game. Lots of people like it because of that, I am kinda the opposite. The exception to that would be the freezing water thing, that one is great. But being able to do nonsensical moves like wallrun up on a wall you just jumped to, or wallrun from ledges, the previous games had parkour based in reality, this is just not like that and I think its worse. The combat was kinda messy and frustrating at times in previous titles, but there was danger and stake in combat, there is none of that here, also its way oversimplified and way too easy.
In my mind:
Sands of Time is the best.
Closely followed by Two Thrones and Warrior Within.
Then a big gap, Forgotten Sands.
Then an even bigger gap and the Prince of Persia.
yes
dont know if its my hype (did not get to play this game as a child ) or if its the game itself thats mid. Im kinda disappointed. Play it if you want but there are other better options out there
gameplay and parkour much better and smoother compared to the original trilogy, story - worse and feels very unnecessary.
overall it's fun and its getting increasingly more fun as the game progresses. however, I had a serious bug throughout the game where I couldnt get up by myself whenever I get hit. it made bosses much more difficult.
7/10
Uplay. Internet required to play.
If the prince gets stuck after being knocked down then limit the frame rate of the game.
I write this review comparing with Sands Trilogy. I must say this is a decent game.
Positive:
1. Major Graphical upgrade.
2. Story is just alright, but not as intense or good as Sands Trilogy.
3. There are new djinn ability and skill upgrade (minor).
Neutral:
1. OST is mediocre.
2. There is a bird waiting for you to jump platform, I found this to be quite silly.
3. The fight with many enemies feels kinda more like dynasty warrior than usual prince of persia, I neither feel necessarily bad nor good with this new fighting system.
Negative:
1. I prefer trilogy prince's face than this.
2. Little buggy, sometimes after prince get hit, even with HP left, he just stays on the ground. Mashing buttons sometimes wakes him up, sometimes not and you need to restart from last checkpoint.
3. Another little buggy, sometimes game froze.
Overall this is a decent game, I would grade this around 7.3 / 10. If you are not a die hard fan of sand trilogy, you may skip this. I don't feel this game related much with sand trilogy. But if you are a die hard fan, then I recommend to get this on sale.
Great game!
This is the second time i finish this game and it still a masterpiece
Quite different from the original trilogy games but a good experience. The new parkour mechanics are 10/10 but the boss battles got quite repetitive. Overall 7/10
GREAT GAME FOR BEGINNERS AS WELL AS FOR PRINCE OF PERSIA ENTHUSIASTS
game have some glitches and bugs if they get solved its a pretty decent game to enjoy
Always jumps error, repeat below, total crap (mission 18 solomon's tomb ) BUG
If i had to rank each PoP game-
1. Warrior Within
2. Forgotten Sands
3. Two Thrones
4. Sands of Time
Gameplay and parkour wise, best out of all. My childhood game, i will always cherish it.
Goo to play
super
The game is nice. Graphics are improved. Controls are also easy. There are not so many combos to perform with single handed sword. New features like using fire, wind, ice and earth powers is something different. In old POP games , there are only time controlling abilities.
Very bad graphics issue with screen tears and constant flashing glitches that appear after about 20min into the game that make it borderline unplayable. Saw there was a community fix posted that said to go into the game's file and disable v-sync, but no: screw Ubisoft, they need to fix it.

Needs ubisoft connect account and an active internet connection. Totally forgettable story, a lot of annoying acrobatics where you just have to perfectly time all you acrobatics with shift and alt presses. Even without any of these additional mechanics there are quite a lot of moments when you jump 0.5s late and fall, roll back the time and jump 0.5s too early and don't make it far enough. Not to mention that half of the time it's not exactly easy to see where exactly the waterfalls, water columns and pins are located. Battle system is unengaging, there's no combos, no different attacks, no fun finishers or pretty much anything that I could call fun. Boss fights are all monotonous and lack mechanics. Just stand near the enemy, cut their feet and dodge their attacks. Rinse and repeat. Getting to the final boss through the unnecessary acrobatics with zero visibility was not cool – it's a storm, I get it but it's an effing videogame, you could be a little less "realistic" with the sandstorm effects.
Good game but held back by the ubisoft launcher.
