Puzzles
And one more mistery successfully solved. That was a hard one, and a really complicate by time needed to apply in it. But is nice experience.
Love the atmosphere. I ready enjoy it
Nancy Drew: Last Train to Blue Moon Canyon is an easy, enjoyable installation in the HER Interactive series. The story is intriguing and a tad spooky. Definitely a throwback to Secret at Shadow Ranch with the old west history story.
Pros: The puzzles are fun and not too tricky. The game moves along easily. I played on Junior level, so maybe Senior level will provide a bit more of a challenge. If you get stuck, a phone call to Bess and George gives you the answer right away. Nancy also says several hints out loud throughout the game which lead the player in the right direction. I was able to play through the whole game without truly being stumped or having to look a solution up online. If you haven't pulled the answer from the books or notes left around the train, usually trial and error works just as well.
Cons: Several of the characters are fairly rude to each other and it's a bit off putting, including Nancy mocking the resident of the small town, Copper Gorge, for the way she speaks. It's all rather unnecessary, and perhaps makes it a product of its time; it was released in the early 2000s. The treatment of the Lori character is especially appalling, as everyone seems to meet her and immediately treat her like trash and gossip about her behind her back, even though Lori herself hasn't done anything to spark this level of ridicule. It really gives off "mean girl" energy.
Side note: It is rather silly that a couple characters commit serious crimes that could have led to the harm or death of the others on the train, and merely walk away with a head shake and slap on the wrist.
In conclusion, it's not one of the more challenging Nancy Drew games, but it's one that I will replay. If you're wanting an old west fated love mystery, Secret at Shadow Ranch did it better.
really liked it, even tho the last part was a bit frustrating (i couldn't figure out the answer myself!)
Overall a very good iteration of the nancy drew series!
This game already has the checklists, but does not have the badges at the end
Fun Story Line , Cool to see all of the Characters together but from Nancy's Perspective

Her Interactive does an amazing job with every Nancy Drew game they back. I'm currently trying to collect the whole set. LOVE THEM
The graphics and voice acting is amazing and fluid. The puzzles will keep you guessing with every difficulty from simple jigsaw puzzles to decoding messages with siphers and morse code. I highly recommend
10/10... first nancy for me and its such a great game overall... maybe because its my first experience but this is by far the beginner friendly game in the series... i love it
My favourite part of Nancy Drew. I played it as a teenager and now as an adult, and it's still great.
Nice plot and story, interesting side characters with their own stories and motivations, some mystery and an unsolved case in the past, an investigation with Nancy's friends through the gameplay, and of course various puzzles.
The dolls in the game are unforgettable.
Very enjoyable Nancy game. Found the puzzles a little less challenging than other Nancy games, but still quite rewarding. Recommend for the usual Nancy enjoyer.
The puzzle with the dolls might be my favorite puzzle from ANY of the Nancy Drew games. This game at it's weakest is still very strong compared to others in the series. Definitely one of the best I've played so far.
This was my very first Nancy game.
I was confused a bit with some of the puzzles and saving system, but I enjoyed the game throughout!
This is the first Nancy Drew game I managed to finish (busy sched and all that) and am super happy with the game. The characters are mostly interesting and it's not too difficult to get into as a newbie. This definitely made me more interested to play other games in the Nancy Drew series.
Challengeing but fun
It's a short game, ok with some fun puzzles and typical frustrating "hunt the pixel" elements.
A master piece, until the very end with the great music played at the credits. I loved everything in the game.
Darn you, Natalie.
yes
As someone from Colorado I was thrilled to have an ND game take place in my home state, until they realize the treasure is in Nevada and they go there instead
The nostalgia! Like many other reviewers, I'm re-visiting my favorite game(s) from the early 2000s. It has been so long that I honestly can't remember which ones I've played, but pretty sure this one was new to me. Last Train to Blue Moon Canyon was just creepy enough (the dolls!), pretty good puzzles (I only had to cheat on one of them, that freaking boat/animal sequence puzzle!), and a fun ending. The story was...fine, I guess. The train itself wasn't too confusing to navigate through, unlike some other locations. The Hardy Boys were a nice addition! All in all, a good investment at 7 bucks.
It's challenging
