It's pretty, but the puzzles are kind of lackluster.

i really love this game! The artwork is stunning and the gamplay is unique and not too hard and not too easy! i really love Daedalic games and this one is fantastic!

This game has a good story and really beautiful art, definitely worth playing. The only downside is the lack of convenience features. For example, you cannot skip cutscenes, which can be annoying if you finish playing in a middle of a scene. There is also no scene/chapter selection, so if you want to go back hunting for achievements, you have to restart the entire game.

A cute little puzzle game. Some animations and writing is stilted. I didn't play the first game, I feel understood this game enough without doing so.

Game is broken at the first action sequence, where you need to push away a slab. That's why you don't put action scenes in an adventure, because then it's not an adventure anymore but an ACTION adventure.

The game is really well written with a fun story line and good visuals. Enjoyed it a lot.

As someone who was somewhat disappointed with The Whispered World I was somewhat hesitant to start the sequel. Yet I am glad now that I did it anyway.

Even if it’s on the short side and the puzzles aren't big brain scratchers, it's the story that captivated me. It succeeded where the first game failed me. Especially in the two endings and the identity of the false queen. If you have played the first game you might even puzzle the pieces together before encountering her. Its themes of loss, escapism and acceptance are so well executed.

A great (if short) Point and Click adventure that I gladly give a wholehearted endorsement!

The first game i ever bought was Silence ... The art,the curiousity, the atmosphere there is non other game that captures it better than this one! This was the first game that made me cry my heart out and felt like the end choice was truly important!
I don't know how to explain this... but when i saw it.. it just felt like it was calling out to me! I really related with the ML as a older sibling and with the FL because i am a big dreamer! DX This game made me buy the prequel Whisper of Silence! and i played it as well but i prefer Silence because it had much more emotional impact for me, as well as the artstyle,music, and story pasing! I highly recommend buying and trying this game because this story will take you to another world like a fairytale and yet when you grow wings and try to fly with it- it will shoot you to reality! The game is Cheap on Sell like Two Euros- atleast i got it for this price and mind you this is a price that for a gem like that it's like playing it for free!!

Beautiful plot, basically along similar lines to the Whispered World. Good characterization across the board, which keeps you hooked even though you know it's unlikely to have a happy ending. Some genuinely beautiful game moments using unexpected mechanics like flying to make a point. Also it's exactly as long as it should be, no more or less. Finally the graphics are spectacularly beautiful, mini art pieces each. The world has that nostalgic feel we love in adventure games.

A lot of love was put into this game. The plot doesn't pull any punches, and deals with some difficult topics, which takes courage on the part of the creator. All in all, highly recommended.

Some things that prevent you from enjoying it fully: the movement of characters is seriously buggy. They run off in random directions all the time, you click on the left and they speed to the right, and you have to actively work to get them to go to where you clicked. Also it has no save but doesn't tell you when you checkpointed so you don't know if you leave the game where the last one was. You just have to pray it was recent. Finally, after each checkpoint is an unstoppable video, so loading your save is annoying. These could have been easily fixed.

Still, enjoyed the experience a lot

I have read that there are some mouse issues with this game.
I want to share one that I encountered while I was playing because it took me a second to figure out so I could even progress the game.

I have a Zowie mouse where you can push a button a button on the bottom of the mouse to change the DPI settings. The game would NOT register any movement by my mouse when I had to counter balance my character on anything so I had to watch Noah take a constant tumble on a globe in the first 15 minutes of the game for a frustrating amount of time. Once I pushed the button, it worked. My mouse would register on ANY other part of the game except for that. So if anyone else has any weird issues like I did and can push any buttons on the bottom of your mouse, try that and hopefully it'll work.

Other than that, I have been excited to finally pick up this game and now I'll hopefully get to play it and not want to throw my mouse out the window! hehe. :)

I really enjoyed the story telling in this game. If you enjoy a good story, then this is a great game for you :)

A bit non-intuitive sometimes. It's not easy to know what to do to get further. But the graphics are great and the story line is interesting.

The visuals are very nice and the voice acting is really good. You will feel immersed into the game rather quickly because of the seamless transitions between cutscenes and interactive mode. I'm not so sure I like the basic idea behind the story though. It just turned out not to be exactly my cup of tea.

Why I wouldn't recommend this game to others:
1.) The many loading screens simply feel tiresome even though I have played this game on a powerful gaming rig. So there is no real excuse why loading between scenes would take as long as it did for me. At the time when this game was made the developers could have implemented something like loading the next scene(s) in the background to make transitions between scenes more enjoyable if the machine has the necessary amount of memory available.
2.) While you can get hints as to where to interact, the game often feels clumsy. I understand that this game was made with controllers and a console in mind and not so much a desktop with keyboard and a mouse. Still it felt clumsy to me.
3.) There is no way to save your current game. An absolute no-go! If you don't complete a scene before you quit the game until your next playing session, you will have to do all the things again. Why do this to players? Any excuse the developers might have will surely burn down to shifting their problem to the user. Not good!
4.) You cannot skip a cutscene after loading a save point. So not only can you not save at any point in the game, you also have to endure watching everything you already know!

cute and wholesome. good amount of story balanced with point and click puzzles. easy to play all different options with the checkpoint setting, especially at the end. do one ending then go do the other without playing through the whole game again. i love games like this and wish they were more common. <3

The games itself is beautiful, but kinda fails in terms of actual gameplay. The puzzels are very easy and it feels like the game is holding your hand at every single one of them.

This point-and-click adventure game combines a touching story with stunning visuals. While its short playtime may leave you wanting more, the blend of fairy-tale imagination and harsh reality creates a subtle and lasting impression.

There is little to no character development in the game, making it difficult to connect with the characters or care about their journeys. Despite the good graphics, which are visually appealing, they aren't enough to save this game from being very bad and bland. The first game set the bar at a reasonable height, yet The Whispered World 2 consistently fails to meet even these modest expectations, falling short in almost every aspect.

I absolutely loved the original's Sadwick. The character of the sad little clown was charming and endearing in its own unique way. However, in this sequel, it seems that the developers have changed this character drastically and missed the mark entirely. The character's depth and emotional resonance are lacking, leaving players with a hollow experience.

The gameplay elements are absolutely minimal, offering little to no challenge or engagement. Players are left wandering through the game with hardly anything to do. The story is way too short, wrapping up before it has a chance to develop any meaningful depth or complexity. It could have been way more fleshed out, offering players a richer, more immersive experience.

Unfortunately, I'm sorry to say it's not even possible to replay this game. There is zero replay value. Once you've completed the short and uninspired story, there's nothing left to draw you back in. The lack of varied gameplay mechanics and the absence of any meaningful choices or branching paths make it a one-and-done experience.

In summary, while The Whispered World 2 may look good on the surface thanks to its graphics, it fails in almost every other regard. The lack of character development, minimal gameplay, and short, underwhelming story all contribute to a game that is ultimately not worth replaying. Despite the potential seen in the first game, this sequel does not live up to its predecessor.

it has a really nice story and a sad one.

Fairly short, but nice art and bittersweet story. Unfortunately, there are enough references to A Whispered World that you'd want to play that game first, but I'm not sure it's good enough to justify playing both.

Silence is a pretty good point and click adventure game and a good sequel to the whispering world, so now the story, in a war-torn country two siblings Noah and Renie try to live their lives as normally as possible despite a war raging and being orphaned, Noah the eldest sibling is dedicated to protecting his little sister so when air raids start happening he immediately takes her to the bunker.

Soon they are safe and Noah to distract his little sister from the grim reality outside he tells her a story about a world called Silence, a beautiful far away Kingdom, a world between life and death, but after the bunker collapses both him and his sister wake up in Silence, Noah vows to protect Renie and get them home, but by doing so may reveal some painful truths.

So then the likes, the story is very good it has a sort of storybook kind of feel to it with its world and characters and it even has an evil queen like classic fairy tales, it also has very good themes of responsibility, protecting the ones you love and growing up.

It also had some pretty heartfelt and emotional moments that almost made me teary eyed, I especially love that flying scene in chapter 3 it was both beautiful and heartfelt, there's also some pretty good twists and turns that were quite surprising. Also this game is a sequel to the whispering world but if you're wondering do you have to play the first game in order to get the story for this game, not really other than a few slight references to the first game the story does a good job in summarizing the first game’s story.

The gameplay is good, it's your standard point and click game you know solve some puzzles, pick up items that sort of thing but one key element that makes the gameplay stand out is Spot. Spot is this cute little caterpillar creature that has the ability to change his shape, like he can flatten himself and become a bridge or become big so you can bounce on him, he was an interesting concept with a versatile set of powers that made you think how to use him. Also the gameplay is a good Improvement of the gameplay of the first game.

The graphics is really good has a claymation/story book kind of look and feel to it, the claymation aspect with its characters and creature designs combined with the background that looks/feels hand drawn, both complement each other very well with its colors, designs and just the overall look, it's a huge improvement over the graphics of the first game and I like the first games graphics.

The levels are all very good quite diverse with breathtaking locations that not only makes you just want to stop and stare and would make good wallpaper, it's just begging to be explored.
The characters are okay and a bit of a mixed bag I like Renie she was quite adorable how she cares about everyone, but she can be a little bit frustrating but I guess that's with all kid characters. Noah was nice you definitely felt for him as he struggled to protect his sister in a strange world, I think my favorite character has to be Janus he has this sort of cool wise Mentor feel to him, but was quite funny at times.

My least favorite character has to be Kyra she could come off as being a real jerk especially later down the line, don't get me wrong I definitely understand why she's doing what she's doing near the end of the game, but in the beginning she was unnecessarily a jackass. The monsters in the game The Seekers are really good they have a nice design that reminds me of No Face from Spirited Away.

The music is fantastic with plenty of great tracks that really captures the mood of the game. The voice acting for the most part was pretty good, I will say the only problem with it was Renie's voice for the most part she has an American accent, but then in certain segments she suddenly develops a British accent it could be a bit jarring and definitely noticeable.
So then the dislikes, some of the achievements for the game are a real pain, probably the worst two are Sherlock Holmes were you have to finish the game without using the snoopkey and fine listener were you have to finish the game without skipping a text.

The Sherlock Holmes achievement was a pain because I accidentally used the snoopkey and since there's no manual saving I had to restart the game, then there’s fine listener is bugged because I definitely didn't skip anything in my first playthrough, even though you can't really skip cutscenes and stuff.

But I was able to get the achievement on my second playthrough I just didn't touch any buttons when a cutscene or an animation was happening, also using a controller helped. Also there's no manual save which would have been real helpful in getting those achievements, finally the game ends on a cliffhanger, the game has two endings but each ending ends on a cliffhanger that to my knowledge hasn't been resolved yet.

Okay now that I'm finished with that, Silence is a pretty good point and click adventure game and a good sequel to the whispering world, it has a very good story, good gameplay and really good graphics, so I definitely recommend getting this game but I do recommend having a bit of patience when trying to get all the achievements.

This is the worst sequel I have ever played.

While the game is definitely in the point and click genre, its mechanics are just too simple and broken up. You basically have small "levels" in which you need to figure out how to proceed. Based on the limited area of movement (usually one screen) and the limited number of objects to interact with there are only so many things you can do before you stumble upon the sometimes nonsensical solutions. Everything is so segregated it feels more like a chore than a fun game. The story is moderately good,but not nearly enough to save this game. They should have saved money on the graphics and put some actual effort into the gameplay.

I made it past chapter 1 and well into 2, no idea how much of the game is remaining but I will not continue. It is not bad per se but I honestly don't enjoy playing it at all. It is more of an interactive fairytale than a game and I feel it doesn't work well. The story is interrupted by random irritating gameplay so it is hard to dive in. The game is interrupted by lengthy movies that become boring. And I am not a great fan of cinematics and generally quite impatient, I tend to skip videos in other games. So yeah.

The visual side is nice but not really my style. The gameplay I find rather annoying. Often I need to grab/move things several times so it works. Also, I had a glitch where the characters just freezed and I couldn't do anything, had to restart. :/

Good story of the game, lots of different choice that will change story-line. The achievement is kinda hard to complete, you have to finish the story like 2 or more times before getting 100% complete but it was worth it.
