Relaxing and frustrating. I'm another one that bought this on disc. Okay, there are some really annoying little bugs. but there are a few mods floating about that mostly sort them out.
I love the camera on this game, I sent a priest from a little village church, walking across the map to pray at the cathedral, and it was a pleasure to just zoom in and watch him walking through the wheat fields and by the windmill, before getting mercilessly cut down by a bunch of mounted pagan women.
A lovely game
Amazing game! I also played the original warrior kings game following the life of Artos, which is also a great play through. I was unaware this game existed and so only played the first game at the time. Sad to see there is no continuation, this game had a lot of potential... my first 3D RTS game. I had as much enjoyment playing warrior kings as i did rome total war.
It's awesome old Fantasy RTS game with good mods. I just suck at it.

It has a pretty unique and detailed build. The sounds are relaxing and the tech-tree should be chosen wisely. I never managed to get war-elephants tbh.
But You can have an archangel or some kind of beosaurus to send to the battlefield.
enjoy a session or two.
GOOD GAME
An ancient game, lost to the past. Battle it out with three main faction paths that off shoot to two more. Will you raise an army of fanatics fighting in the name of the Imperial Church and empire? A horde of Pagan warriors who summon demons from the abyss. Perhaps, you would stick to science and unlock the secrets of black powder.
Warrior Kings is a long skirmish global conquest game where you manage a manor and progress through the tech tree. Certain buildings lock others and unlock new ones and each path has its advantages and disadvantages. Its difficult to explain how this game is, what I would say is its a mix of Stronghold defender and perhaps age of empires.
Its an old game and thus lacks many quality of life features and has many bugs since it was a released as is with no patching back in the day. You will need to mod the game files to make it run on a modern platform. Expect a rather difficult buggy and unbalanced game but if you can master it, pretty enjoyable.
