A sokobon game where you assemble a molecule that gets ever more difficult to move and manipulate.
Seeing molecules, figuring out what molecule you could make, and building it, are all very satisfying.
Sokobond
Sokobond by Alan Hazelden and Lee Shand Lun succeeds in taking a very unique puzzle concept or idea, and using it to create something fun and enjoyable out of it.
The mechanics of the game are mostly intuitive, and each time a new mechanic is introduced, it is done in either a clear and understandable manner or through a purposeful challenge of reflexion.
The levels show a moderate increase in difficulty after the first few chapters, and later become quite complexe and time consuming to solve, landing slightly outside the range of casual puzzles.
To me personally, there came a point where the complexity and time investment overtook the fun and satisfaction gained from completing levels, causing a feeling of being burned out from the game. If you pick up this game and intend to finish it completely, be aware that it is a fair challenge.
The visual aesthetics of the game are clean, recognizable, and of good quality.
The game also features interesting and sometimes humoristic facts about chemistry, which enhances the experience.
Sokobond is overall a good quality, well-thought-out, challenging, and very unique puzzle game from Alan Hazelden and Lee Shand Lun
Got stumped a whole bunch, but there's always something clever to do to make the molecules. Standard puzzle game design where every level has a bunch of gotchas where you can just barely almost solve it, except not really; it's a pain but it makes it rewarding when you finally do get it.
A Intuitive mechanics and amazing thinky puzzle game.
Produced by Draknek & Friends, it must be a masterpiece.
A game where I can finally play as Helium
Don't buy anything from this publisher. The price hiked years after release with no updates.
Fun AND educational.
generic sokoban with a stick-elements-together mechanic and some chemistry flavor. plenty of content, has undo but no dark mode and it's all white, all blinding all the time. it's been requested and ignored since release, 10+ years now. what's worse is the publisher claimed a few years ago that the game was too old to get more updates but it obviously wasn't the case when it first came out, so what was their lame excuse then?
what's even more disgusting is, shortly after this 'clarification' on the forum, they silently hiked the price of a 10-year-old, admittedly outdated game from $10 (already ridiculous, especially back in 2014) to $15. not that finally adding dark mode would've justified it.
and of course a while later they announced the 'biggest discount ever', except as usual, it only meant a higher percentage from the new higher price, not an actual lowest price ever. technically not lying but not exactly truthful either, and all this certainly made draknek one of the scummiest publishers around and the devs one of the laziest, and there are many entries in both categories.
Great educational puzzle game for kids to add to their chemistry learning.

Very cool twist on the sokoban theme. Excellent logic puzzle.
Pretty, lots of different mechanics, runs great on Linux.
Candy crush for nerds. Very nice!
As a chemist I appprove this game
Sokobond is a difficult but fair puzzle game that seems deceptively simple. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a new puzzle game to play that challenges you.
While it may contain 144 different puzzles, some of them can be completed in less than 3 minutes, and the rest don't take much longer either once you get the hang of things, which makes my opinion on the $15 price tag kinda iffy. This game does go on sale however as it's how I got it.
The design of the game is minimalist for sure, but it also gives a sterile feeling, which I thought paired nicely with the theme of chemistry, as if you were in a lab combining these atoms yourself.
And if the description of the game saying it is designed around chemistry scares you lesser-studied folk, don't worry, as there is no actual chemistry being done, just bonding valences until there are none left to bond.
sort of gives you some ideas about chemistry
