About the Game
What does it take to be in a parade?Hard work, a bright shiny chassis and a little help from your friends. That's what Putt-Putt® discovers as he gears up to join the annual Cartown Pet Parade. Children will be delighted as they meet the local carfolk, explore a toy shop, tool down the road and more. Along the way, they learn to think ahead, deal with unexpected problems, and give others a hand. The road to discovery has never been more fun - or more educational. Charming talking characters, lively sound effects and lifelike animation keep your child focused on the adventure.

PuttPutt 1 may be the simplest of the little purple car's adventures, but it sets the tone very well to start off the series.
It's a 20-30 minute adventure with unskippable text, a mouse-controlled lawn mower, and... a very simple introduction to the world and PuttPutt's pet dog Pep, but everything goes up from here. That being said, it's a cute first game, and an easy introduction to the genre for kids - albeit it quite tiny.
I got this game because my wife remembered playing it as a child and I wanted to get in on any bit of nostalgia she has for video games. So when I first booted it up I was like, "So is this the same game you played as a kid, there's like a dozen of these games?" And she said, "I don't remember it being that pixely, all I remember was you mow some lawns and can paint the car." And sure enough, you can mow some lawns, and paint the car, so this must be the game she had as a child.
I guess you can't go wrong with that. That said. That's pretty much all you do in the game. I got less than an hour of playtime and I played through it twice.
An artstyle that still holds up fantastically, the gameplay is still simple and easy to understand aswell as having alot of moments to show off its humour even during the dark moments which makes this game still so enjoyable even after all these years as it's basically one of its kind.

The greatest masterpiece ever invented. Great for kids, great for teens, great for adults, great for grandmas, great for dogs, great for cars. If u hate it, u have no soul, putt-putt is world peace.
Excellent for kids. And kids from the 90s.
