This game is JANKY AS FUCK but it is also hands down the best game ever. Baldur's Gate 3 wishes it could reach these heights.
There's a sense of longing for the days of 'Wizardry's resounding success: in every stone, in the store names (e.g. 'Arms of Argus'), but treat this game as a standalone story.

Sometimes what we want in life is a 6/10 janky game that we can't help but like. Dungeon Lords is such a game. Is it good? Not really. Is it fun? Kinda. Largely I was interested from nostalgia but I'm glad I have finally finished it and can put this game mostly out of my mind. Just like B-movies or so bad it's good, this game does scratch that itch. Also: If you put lots of points in agility and armor you can move super fast and kind of break the game.
This is like an offline Everquest. Enjoy!!
It's nice to see that Steam is bringing back some of the old games I've spent many hours playing. I just started playing the Steam Edition but it's running on Windows 11 just fine.
Oldie but a goody, nothing around today that matches the length and complexity of these Dungeon D&D type Games, 100's of Hours of game play and plenty of puzzles and riddles, well worth the time spent.
A game from my childhood with an interesting story and a nice gameplay.
