Old But Fun
Another fun entry in the YDKJ classic series. Though it will be lost on the current generation since it focuses on obscure, classic television. Hence why it's pretty outdated as a trivia game. Still, there is a lot of charm here and Schmitty is priceless as host.
I would recommend it to a big television fanatic. I do watch a whole lot of Television, but I've now been recently doing that. Also viewing some 90's and older nostalgia on the streaming services, only real things I knew at those times were The Simpsons, Friends, and Seinfeld. And learning about those older shows more recently. I'm sure that some of the stuff I did when I played just now would be pretty embarrassing despite making a grand total of $21,500. Final thoughts, it's more for people like my parents, not really for me. But I still think it's worth your time, and Schmitty is very funny here too, so that's all good.
Yikes. Got this one in the pack. If you aren't American and up on your individual plot lines of episodes of 50s-70s tv. Don't bother.
I've several other volumes of YDKJ they all are fun and entertaining but most importantly the programs all function properly. I've been unable to get the sound to work on "You Don't Know Jack TV". I installed it on my Win10 Decktop PC and attempted to troubleshoot it with Steam, JellyVision, and Suppport at JackBoxGames, none of them have offered an explanation or solution that will remedy the problem.
literally dont know anything  but it has raul.and schmitty
silly, lame and fun to play. some of the questions are a little tough on some of us less attached to our t.v.s or are under sixty, and sure some of the dialog's a little... uh... lame... but it's still fun to play.
Growing up from the Jack Pack in the 90s, this was my favorite edition next to Movies! While the content of the questions is dated to me, it's still got charm to get together and go crazy with. The comedy is still gold too!
To celebrate its 20'th birtday, What did Americas greatest hero eat in the 6th episode?
1. I knew all the answers
2. I ment to click that other one!
3. A reference you've never heard
4. It's never 4
I remember first playing this when I was 9 (still have the original game disc), still funny now as it was back then. Though it still has the issue of cutting off some of the host's jokes after the "Dis or Dat" questions. Overall a solid game for the price.
This game has a lot of questions about classic TV, not just the 80's and 90's. My mom, who has a big collection of DVDs of shows from the 50's and 60's, slaughtered me at this game. It's fun, just be prepared to know all your 20th century TV inside and out.
Also, this game is completely incompatible with Steam controllers. If you have a living room setup, I hope you have a wireless keyboard.
As Sports and Movies before it, You Don't Know Jack Television continues the trend of focusing on a particular area of trivia. For the sake of brevity, my reviews of the two previous versions can be translated here. Once more, don't purcase this alone; buy it in the Classic Pack.
If you don't know anything about old TV I would not reccomend this game.
Based on the Demo Version of this game from my Tomb Raider 2 PC Gamer Demo Disc, now in it's full Trinitron Television/Betamovie/FH-7 MK-2/ICF-7600D/CD Player/APM Speaker Sony State-of-the-Art Format just the way I like my 1980s, 1990s & 2005 TV/VHS/Betamax/DVD & Laserdisc Entertainment.
Very entertaining and VERY hard! This is no fluff trivia game. The questions tip both sides of the scale... I found it quite a challenge!
A classic trivia game? Yes please. A classic trivia game full of classic TV trivia? Also yes please. A classic trivia game full of classic TV trivia peppered with clever jokes and wordplay (and the occasional fart gag)? Very yes please.
Wow... sometimes I feel old. Then I play this game and realise I know very little about TV older than me.
Loved playing YDKJ back in my youth, but it seems the us versions of it are a tad too american for me as a German. Hence I don't know a thing, and am reduced to guessing all the time xD Still nice for its nostalgic feeling and humor. Got all YDKJ games very cheap during the sale in a bundle, so it isn't worth complaining about the culture barriere. Overall, it is a nice game for now and then, but nothing special.
For this game in particular, you better know everything about ass-old tv-shows, or you will fail as much as I did xD
Classic YDKJ title - loved them back in the day, and still love to play them!
Wrong. 30Rock - Jack Donaghy. I do know Jack television.
Are you an 80's kid? Can you PRETEND you're an 80's kid? Did you watch a LOT of tv? Like, old tv shows? You Don't Know Jack Television might be for you. Not a big fan of television? You won't know a single goddamn thing they ask you. Definitely a niche game, your enjoyment is directly tied to your hopefully encyclopedic knowledge of television. So be warned; you better know your Thursday night NBC lineup for 1986.
