Infinity Wars is a unique trading card game that blends rich lore and artwork with innovative gameplay mechanics that are both simple to learn and hard to master. With fully animated artwork, eight unique factions to play and master, and constant updates as the game is actively developed, Infinity Wars Classic is an experience you will only find here!
Do You Hate Pay To Win?
We despise it. So much so that we've completely revamped our monetisation model to ensure every new and returning player has free access to every card we've ever made as well as any upcoming sets for Infinity Wars Classic.
Death to Pay to Win - Never have to pay or grind for a card, ever again! Every player has free access to every card we've ever made and will ever make. Any player already heavily financially invested in another card game, can jump into Infinity Wars Classic (IWC) right now, and not be destroyed by veteran players, just because they haven’t collected enough cards to be competitive.
Unrivaled Strategic Depth - Outmaneuver your opponents with defensive and offensive posturing. With the simultaneous-turn mechanic, foresight and cunning will prove the difference between victory and defeat.
Fully Animated Artwork - Breathe life into your trading card experience with 3D battlefields and over 800 unlockable beautifully animated cards.
Custom Card Artwork & Name Editor - Rename, and reskin any card you want to in the game to be literally whatever you want. The game will be personalised in a way you’ve never been able to before, simply by selecting an image from your computer.
Player First Active Dev Team - With regular surveys, we plan our roadmap according to what our players want. Our team is working closest with our most passionate players over on Discord, where anyone and everyone is invited to share their experiences and shape the game’s development, design and future! Join our Discord now using the link in the sidebar.
Casual, Training, 3 Tutorials & Private Matches - With many modes already available including a brand new replay mode, free Prestige Pass, daily quests, leaderboards, daily login unlocks and more, Infinity Wars Classic is ready for IW fans and card gaming veterans alike.
A Complete Free to play Experience - While our game was previously in Pre-Alpha and required Patreon access to play the full game, we are now free to play for all users, including a prestige pass (free battle pass) and new sets funded by fans making it free for everyone being made regularly as of August 2022.

The Following features existed in the original Infinity Wars 1, and are confirmed to be in production for Infinity Wars Classic.
Rich PvP Game Modes - Craft your deck and take to the battlefield in ranked; draft decks and join Rift Runs to score epics rewards; battle opponents with curated decks to explore new cards and ensure a level playing field for newer PvP players.
Unlimited Card Trading - Build your decks with precision and engage the community with an unlimited card trading system. There is also the aim to let players put their cards on the Steam Marketplace, however, this requires more work to confirm it as possible.

In 2014, Infinity Wars released on Steam, seeing instant popularity due to the unique structure of simultaneous turns never having been tackled by a TCG as expertly before. The game was supported for many years with 6 full brand new sets of cards being released over time. However, the developers Lightmare Studios were a very small, young studio. There were a lot of industry-standard practices that the team just didn’t know about. Zero comments were left on the code, little to no documentation on coding standards was made, and each and every card was hard coded with its effects, creating massive amounts of redundancy, and what experts would refer to as “spaghetti code”. This led to increasingly severe technical difficulties, and the team was tunnel visioned on chasing features and new set releases, exacerbating problems.
With no way to fix the problem, we signed our game over to our Publisher to let them handle it, however, the problems were much too severe to be fixed even by them, and even small bug fixes became monumental tasks. It wasn’t long before the game was left as it was, with the servers being hosted, but no significant support. And in 2019, Lightmare took back the servers to prevent them from being shut down. Despite the game significantly draining resources, it was kept online for a further year as a service to the few players who remained, before we finally had to put the servers on ice.
Shortly after, we finally broke the news that we were working on Infinity Wars Classic - a technical remaster built from the ground up using the Infinity Card Engine (born through Infinity Heroes’ early development) to be a much more technically functional version of the game our fans had enjoyed playing for years. In October 2020, we released our Pre-alpha version 0.01 of IWC, which featured only 49 cards. As of September 2022, we’re now in public free access, but still in active development towards a fully remastered product, and currently has all Infinity Wars 1 cards (not including 3rd party ones) and the first 60 from the upcoming Intrigue set, due for release on the 10th of September 2022. It features a brand new deckbuilder, and in the backend a module-based card creation system, allowing for far more frequent content.
We want to do right by our oldest players, so one of the biggest things I want to highlight is that players from Infinity Wars 1’s time can import their IW1 collections into IWC. That means your old collections you spent time and money on are going to be yours eventually. This is currently available in game, and you can make the request from the profile page. Using the same email as your Infinity Wars 1 account will minimise wait time on porting your collection over.

I have not played the remake of this game recently, but one big reason, and I hope the creators stop going down this path:
They've split their already small cult following into 3 by publishing 3 similar games with the same IP and similar gameplay. Not sure what the goal of that was, when their player base is already fairly small, because it's going to make me and others reluctant to invest in Infinity Wars Classic if it's going to be replaced by Infinity Wars 2 in the future. They really need to combine the games back into one, focus on it, and make it hit critical mass so that players can actually start recommending it to their friends.
EDIT: Thanks for the explanation! This makes more sense than what I had originally understood, so I've updated the review accordingly.
I will say that while I still have some doubts, the game design of Infinity Wars is honestly a masterpiece, it solves all the problems I've had with other online card games (like Hearthstone/MTGO) in the past. I'll highlight the two biggest points which I think other online card games got wrong.
Firstly, there's actual trading, and it doesn't feel like MTGO where it feels like you're trading with a stock market because there's thousands of copies of each card. It feels much more like going to a card game store and trading with friends, because there's multiple different rarities which make the more rare card+rarity combinations rare enough that they feel unique. This means that people will haggle, or look around to find someone who has that one card they've been looking for. Feels very much like trading in-person.
Secondly, it removes the RNG aspect of mana-based card games in the early game. Games with lands like MTG and Eternal suffer from mana flood/drought, which adds an unnecessary and un-fun element of RNG to the game. However, even Hearthstone which does not have lands, suffers from early game RNG because drawing cards on curve is extremely important to surviving/winning the early game, and makes early game much more RNG dependent than lategame. This game fixes both problems by having automatic mana increases like Hearthstone, but also giving you a choice of 3 Commanders which you can choose during deck-building to start every game with. This lets you pick defensive early game, and scaling options as a control deck, so you don't end up skipping your first 4 turns like other card games, and high tempo high power cards for aggro decks, so you don't feel like you just fall behind early game and have no hope because of a bad draw.
This review may have become very long, but it's because I honestly believe Infinity Wars is the best designed card game out there, and as long as they can get the UI/marketing done right, it will be a huge hit in my opinion.
Pro:
-awesome concept
-amazing strategic possibilitys
-just wonderfull artstyle and desing of the cards
-playing agains AI is really funny and very enjoyable
Contra:
-Bad Tutorials
-Worst Matchmaking (u will only play agains Pros)
-Quests, Reward and all that stuff is bugged as hell
-WAY TOO HARD FOR BEGINNERS
In the End this is an awesome Game to play for urself or if u want to challenge your friends.
BUT if u are not that fammiliar with card games, this one is probably the worst and hardest to start. It´s hard as hell, the campaign and Tutorials are teaching u by the Try and Error Concept and if u fail u have to restart the hole match. This can get really ennoying and is not helpfull at all. I woul rather add the possibility to undo a round in the campain missions (except for the boss fights).
I really wanted to give this game a positive Review cause its a pretty unique one, but i just can´t:
I had a really great time and loads of fun, but imagine u are new to the PvP Mode and then u are just playing agains pros wich know every single card in the game. U just don´t stand a chance and get fustrated very fast.
So why are the devs not improving this?
Cuz u can buy card packs and card decks!
You will see all those cool high lvl players reking you with ther high end ultra rare cards ( :D) and then you want to be as good as them. So you gonna go to the store searching for cards and u willl find out that a new deck costs 10€.
This is how they make u pay.
And if they would fix the matchmaking they wouldn´t sell anything anymore.
Puffy this game! ;)
well, where to start, its a great game, which has the classic vampires, demons, humans, animal and the undead and some others, although i hardly played on this game i could say that this mmay be close to beating yugioh, however the gameplay wont get old any time soon, but i just wish they made more factions like orcs for example. this game surely is a good game to spend time on.
I'm a huge fan of online card games (Hearthstone, Hex, MtG, etc.), and Infinity Wars manages to stand out as the most unique in the group. Amazing animated artwork, cool factions, a great campaign, and free to play!
This game is amazing , the factions , the gameplay , the cards and their visualisations are so amazing , i recommend this game 10/10
I believe that the style of this game, and the way the battle system is designed is really cool. its unique and haven't seen much like it before. Its worth a try if you haven't played much card game battle styles at all
One of the better card games i have played so far. I'm just gonna list the Pro's & Cons.
+Pro's
> Card's look really nice and are well animated.
> Both players play their moves at the same time so it's alot of strategy and trying to bait or outwit your opponent.
> Can play against bots to lvl up and gain the IP currency although PvP hands out more.
> Friendly/helpful playerbase... Well what is left of it.
-Con's
> It's rather dead.
> Instead of making this game better i.e. adding more cards, fixing the few bugs it had, and balancing some cards they have decided to abandon this game for a new project called "Infinity Heroes" and judging from what I have seen and heard of about the new game... It sucks.
Other than that I wouldn't recommend this game or support their cash grabbing ways.
Longer more in depth review of how the developers act:

Great card game, allways end up comeing back to this jewel, and thanks to the new premade decks joining the game has never been easyer, if you are new, save up a little silver and grab one that looks good to you and you will no longer be "that new guy with no cards to make a real deck"
A one of a kind.... everything about this game is unique. The play style, the art style, the fact that every single card is animated and the literally limitless possibilities for new combos and strategy’s that you create yourself. There are no boundaries, there are no limits, it’s seriously infinity wars! If you want a game where you decide how to play it, instead of the game deciding that for you, then honestly this is your game.
I have thoroughly enjoyed this game and still do whenever I play it. This game has been plagued by bugs from the start and a few tend to pop-up every now and then after a new patch, but it's pretty much bug free at the moment. The game has such a unique playstyle with a battleground consisting of four zones to put your cards in. Besides having to worry about your fortress' health, you also have to take the morale of your troops into account - losing too many valued troops will ensure defeat as much a the destruction of your fortress. Combined with the synchronised turn system this creates a tactical element and a mind-game that is unseen in other card games! The different factions have a truly unique playstyle and some of the animated cards are something to marvel at. The learning curve is rather steep but this just kept me coming back to the game to learn more about it and improve my playstyle and deckbuilding knowledge.
Give this game a try: play the campaign and some player matches with the free-to-play weekly decks and I'm sure you will be captivated by the experience.
Infinity wars is a great game, I've always loved card games but none of the online ones that I have played have had a great story mode to follow as well as a fun competitive atmosphere like infinity wars does.
Scummish company, who do not fix bugs. The game is also too fidgety and there is no simple way to learn the game. Also due the amount of high ranked players, playing ranked is virtually impossible as there are only around fifty people on at one time and forty of them have every single card in the game. Most of my time has been in the standalone launcher (Around one hundred hours) which is very poor in terms of performance. Feels laggy when using it, even when on the same computer.
Simply the best TCG out there !!!
Unfortunately it has not as big playerbase as Hearthstone does, but its better in every way...
Just try it and you will see...
This game really deserves more players and attention...
Rating 5/5*.
Would recommend to anyone that is already interested in any kind of card game.
A game which is good to pick up and play and doesn't force micro-transactions onto you. fun Game play that can get you hooked for hours, had lots of fun playing this!
This is one of the most amazing TCGs I have played. The game is fun, it doesn't seem grindy, and the most important thing in my opinion, it has a breathtaking artstyle end amazing card effects. I love it. If this game sounds like your thing than try it, it's free after all. And don't forget to have fun.
EDIT: The content drought (no patches since early 2017) and other games coming out are pushing this game into irrelevance, playerbase is nonexistant.
The game is prety much ok, its only game i find with this mechanics. I spended 30 $ on 2 DLCs and i dont regret it till now. The only bad thing is the new company. They do not know how to advertise the game properly, and they already ruined the game with some usless op cards. The game is good, and il stay here til hes dead forever, but i dont recomend it for new players. Dont look at how many hours i have on this acount, i have somewhere to 3 years in this game.
Pros:
-Every card is animated.
-Simultaneously turns make the require some think.
-Tons of cards and more factions.
-You can combine factions to make youre own deck.
Cons:
-0 Fariplay, as a new player you get to play even vs #1 on the leaderbords, so no skill lvl matchmaking.
-Matchmaking seems rigled. No matter what deck i play enemy has always the deck who exactly counter me/
-Huge long ques times, i waited even 15 min for a match.
-Client and game are bugged, constantly crashes, frezzings, you lose games of the desync etc.
-Draft is bugged.
-Profile is usless. You cant see enemy badges, they have badges for things you cant get anymore, one of teh faction dosent even have a badge.
-Op cards who can make 1 card deck, and dosent require any skill to play, if you make one of those decks you get easyly to 1750 points in 2 days.
Got this game a few years back, and it seemed like a pretty cool game. The battle mechanics were pretty cool and the decks (and their card art) where really unique. However, the game was riddled with bugs, is still riddled with bugs, and many of those bugs actually interfere with your ability to play the game (freezing up, rounds not playing through, forcing you to leave a game you are in the middle of, random ass crashes, etc.).
It's not like these bugs are a rare thing either, and for a long time I would look in the steam community and see a lot of people asking for these bugs to be addressed. Despite this, it seems like the devs were more interested in reworking the story mode (which was fine the way it was), making minor UI changes, and shoving out a grand total of ONE deck over the years.
The game is also fairly dead now in comparison to when I started, often taking several minutes to find a match, which may crash or freeze as previously mentioned, and the people you get paired up with are either very new (which is not a problem if you're new to the game), or have put four times the amount of hours into this game that I have (which is a massive problem for new players) and no inbetween. The devs promised to fix that by advertising the game so more people would try it out, but I haven't seen any ads whatsoever, so the game is probably going to stay dead at this point.
wonderful game, can't understand all the hate is receiving. It's fun and entertaining, a perfect way to spend an hour or two in front of the pc.
To the devs: please fix the japanese faction (you know, the green one based on morale ) because they're absolute trash right now, lol.
I once gave this a upvote. Cause I enjoyed it, and because I worked for the developers.
That was taken in the wrong way, and the review, which was clearly warrented because the game was pretty alright, was taken in the wrong way, as a false review (They didn't want it, because it seemed biased) so now, after I wasn't payed for the many hours I worked, or the actual work I handed in (which was enough for nearly 120 dollars of pay) I've decided, no, the company is actually really trash. Their games, whether released or in development, are trash. The people who work there. Trash. Their work ethics. Trash. Their ability to pay their workers for fair work. Trash.
I hope this review is taken the wrong way as a biased review, cause it is. I literally hate this company from the deepest, strongest, absolute hatred that comes from my ice cold heart.
If only the company cared. But oh wait, they don't. Cause their fuck heads.
Atrocious, and I mean atrocious, voice acting. The script the actors follow doesn't help any, either.
Game-wise it felt clunky. Slow, awkward controls, not a lot of graphical feedback when playing spells (leading to "did I play that? What did I just target?"), and the need to click each battle result away is just awkward.
Uninstalled this as fast as my mouse would click.
I always recommend games that gives you free stuff everyday. the game is really fun and addictive. but we lack players. the developers should spend more money promoting this game. serously.
Pros:
- beautiful card arts.
- free cards with daily log-in
- can earn in game currency by playing with A.I.
- card system are fun and so many possible combos.
- you can earn points even when you are defeated by another players. since the game reward you base on your performance.
- the game makes you feels like controlling an army rather than just simple card game on a table.
Cons.
- small community. it's difficult for new players to find a match, since most elite stuck at high ranked played.
- leveling to 20 is way slower than most TCG.
- no crafting or liquifying like Shadowverse.
- depending on time and date. there are more players on friday saturday and sunday, I think.
- the game should add more A.I. vareity at least good for players who doesn't want to wait for match making.
- there is actually more to complain but I stop here for now.
the game would have been 10/10 if many of these issues are solve. but for now it's 7/10
it's still a fun game. I would still recommend it.
