Play the russians and spam tanks, play the europeans and spam transports and engineers, play the US and fall asleep because they're boring. The game isn't as good as I remember, and it has a lot of really annoying jank.
This game probably was the first game I witnessed that had voice command in it, I will never forget the hype when my friend in University told me about it and the game teasers they leaked before release, the amount of customization and modification that you can do to your units was also amazing at that time.
For real this game was ahead of its time and sets many of the lines for the games we know now days.
I had this game on xbox 360. it was great. An amazing memory. I will download it and play here eventually.
I got this game on PS3 almost 15 years ago, kinda annoying to play with a controller but still one of my favorite RTS games. Unfortunately, the Steam version has no DLC, no online WW3 (from what I can tell), and no additional languages aside from English. The controls are much better on PC, except the voice control. 6/10, 9/10 if it had the other things.

not the same as it once was. But still fun for what this game still has even if you can only do singleplayer. I played it on the ps3 when multiplayer was still a thing for this and it was amazing. I still think this is a fun game to revisit even just for the nolstalga. Also i can't spell.
Truly a game ahead of its time in as others have already pointed out. Why this game faded into obscurity instead of popularity is beyond me? I don't even agree with individuals who claim that it requires a microphone for more enjoyable gameplay, if you can find your away around a mouse and keyboard you'll definitely be able to manage your units quite rapidly.
However, just like any game out there, it's not without its flaws. Helicopters not being able to engage enemy units directly beneath them for quite some time, or units not following the closest path to their destination (which is odd, since I assume they're using A* search algorithm) is just some of them. Other more prominent one is that there's also a delay when your unit gets destroy. For instance, the units health seems to be more than half full and the remaining units visually look undamaged but after couple of seconds without any recent combat occurring, all of a sudden their health gets depleted and they get destroyed. My guess is that this could be caused by an airstrike that visually hasn't been played out (or rendered if you will) but has actually taken place in the game. Alas, this bug happens extremely rarely and therefore causes no significant impairment to my enjoyment. I just wanted to point it our for anyone who stumbles upon it in their first few hours of gameplay so that they could be reassured that, yes, while this does happen, it's very rare non-the-less.
All in all, 9/10.
It's a simple strategy game. Not many units, very easy to learn and start playing. Fun upgrade mechanics and nice "futuristic 2020's" (lol) setting.
I loved playing this game back on the PS3 years ago. Kinda strange to play it now in 2024 after what has been going on in the world now though.

the only true-to-life simulator of the 2020-2024 political landscape in Eastern Europe & America
7 of 10. Very long campaign! It took me 42 turns on hardcore difficulty to liberate Paris and Moscow as the USA. Two things I don't like: 1) The enemy keeps attacking on the map from different directions even after losing the capital. 2) Upgrades are useless because the enemy always has better upgrades.
