Complex, enjoyable story and mechanics. Looking forward to the sequel.
Wow! What a fantastic game! Definitely worth $20! If you want a game where your choices matter, this is the game for you!
I was not expecting this game to have such heart. I was not expecting it to make me cry. I was not expecting to fall in love with so many characters, or care so much about what the consequences of my choices would be.
Its game play is simply and easy to learn. The ritual of the weekly tasks is long enough to feel like you are doing things and making progress, but short enough that it feels like the story is constantly progressing. Very well balanced.
It's a point-and-click experience, but it wasn't one of those ones where you have to try to click on the tiniest little thing or you'll miss an entire quest arch. I didn't grow up on those kinds of games, and I was (w/ my wife's occasional advice) able to easily stay on top of things. I think it does a good job balancing between making it clear what you're supposed to do, w/o holding your hand and treating you like an idiot.
It's obvious the creators put their hearts into this game. Very, very well done!
Choose not real matter but still hold u under pressure. Good game 6/10 (potential 7/10 but -1 for easy game play with no challenge)
I have just finished this game, it took me three days to complete (playing casually), and I adored every moment of it.
I bought it after watching a playthrough of the game, and thought it looked fun, little did I expect it was going to be such a powerful and moving game to play!
The characters and story were fantastic, and I loved the gameplay, the difficult choices you have to make really provide a fun element of tactics as well.
Yes, Your Grace has been a joy to play, and I will definitely play it again.
I would highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys well written, story driven RPGs, uniquely tactical gameplay, and beautiful pixelated art style.
This quickly became a favourite game for me.
Love this game, forces you to be intentional in every single choice you make, and truly look and yourself as a person.
This story and it's music left me in a chokehold many times.
What. A. Game.
Very impactful, gives you some very hard choices, makes you think..
A very short, simple narrative resource management game. It's somewhat similar to the mobile game "Reigns" if you've played that, except without the dynastic element, there's a more cohesive plot, and running out of resources doesn't necessarily meant Game Over. (But there will be consequences.)
The story isn't very complicated, but it's sweet. I love all of Cedani's pets, and the final reveal about one of them is extremely funny. The pixel art style is also simple, but very cute and well-done. It only took me a bit over 4 hours to finish, but it was an enjoyable 4 hours! Maybe wait for a sale if you don't see yourself replaying it, but all in all a pretty solid game.
Yes, Your Grace is a light-hearted take on the genre. It seems to want you to make the good choices without punishing them. Which is good. They could have tried to go down a much darker, GOT type route where no good deeds go unpunished, but I'm glad they didn't. In that sense, this game was a bit of a fantasy. The management side of the game leaves a bit to be desired. The challenge mostly comes down to having to figure out how to judge various cases that are brought to you, most of which aren't clear-cut. It may come down to personal preference which to help and which to ignore. I suppose I was fortunate enough to make enough good choices to beat the game in a single run without having to start again from the beginning. I'm glad I didn't have to because getting through all of the game's dialogue, as sparse and concisely written as it is, was not something I was looking forward to.
While the game may not go down as one of my favorites of all time, I did enjoy it and can recommend it, especially at the low price I purchased it for on sale. It could use a little more polish still, I noticed a couple typos or errors in the writing and found some of the music to be a little low-budget, but otherwise there are surprisingly good graphics and presentation for a game of this scope.
I think this is also one of those games that I didn't think to myself, oh I wish they had done it this way, or included that. It really works as it is, a fantastic bit of story telling and light gameplay experience. If the game had tried to extend the gameplay artificially or with lengthy dialogue or if it had taken itself too seriously I would have probably wanted to stop playing at some point.
Thanks for a work of art that I'm definitely not going to burn once I'm done with it.
This game is an enjoyable narrative that gives vibes of other pixel games of the vein, such as Paper's Please. Though with a very different story and mechanics. Overall it was an enjoyable story although surprisingly short. At full price I would probably not purchase it again but if it is at 50% or more off it is worth it for sure.
Some game systems feel a bit underdeveloped and like they could have more weight to your choices. On my first playthrough I easily had a near-perfect outcome from the narrative and it didn't feel like a challenge to just make the "right choices". At times some of your choices feel like they don't matter because something you don't control decides the outcome, I suppose life is like that at times though.
If you play though you will likely understand what I mean when I say that the result is always "20", regardless of how well you plan. Still, a fun little narrative if you can get it for discount!
For the 100% achievement I had to break up a wholesome lesbian couple... I was the evil horse
When the throne is not a privilege but a curse

Yes, Your Grace is an unusual and deeply emotional strategy game that takes us into the world of a medieval kingdom where every decision has consequences. The game weaves together elements of ruler simulation, resource management and visual novel. This game captures through the story, the characters and the moral dilemmas that are put before the player.
It should be noted right away that Yes, Your Grace is done in pixel graphics, which gives the game a special charm. This style not only looks good, but also organically fits into the atmosphere of the medieval kingdom. Pixels create a cozy and at the same time harsh world, where every corner is filled with history and feelings. It's like a journey into the past, where minimalistic but detailed images make the imagination work, complementing the story.
The story of the game is the foundation upon which the entire gameplay is built. You are a king standing at a crossroads: your kingdom is threatened by many dangers, and your decisions will determine the fate of the entire state. Throughout the game you will face moral dilemmas that influence the development of events. Decisions are not always easy, and each choice has its own consequences. This creates a sense of real responsibility, because each step can lead to both victory and tragedy.
One of the strongest aspects of the game is the character development. With each hour of play, I found myself getting more and more insight into their fates. Each character has their own story, motivations, and experiences, and this makes them vivid and memorable. You don't just run a kingdom - you start to worry about its inhabitants, their problems and ambitions. This adds depth and makes the whole gameplay more emotional.
The gameplay of Yes, Your Grace is mainly centered on the management of the kingdom. You need to keep an eye on resources, maintain relationships with various characters, decide who gets help and who needs to be denied. It's not a simple chore - every decision you make matters, and balancing political interests, economy and moral principles becomes a real challenge.
Resource management here is quite thoughtful and thought-provoking. Throughout the game, you'll have to allocate money, troops, influence, and various other resources that need to be properly utilized to maintain stability in the kingdom. This is a strategic element of the game that requires care and foresight. It's also worth noting that the game gives the player multiple ways to solve certain problems, which adds an element of variation and replayability.
The music in Yes, Your Grace is not just a background accompaniment, but an important part of the game's atmosphere. The soundtrack perfectly supports the emotional background: when you need to increase the tension, the music becomes more dramatic, and when there is a moment of relaxation or hope, it becomes lighter and calmer.
Yes, Your Grace is a game that leaves a vivid impression. There are no epic battles or complex puzzles here, but there is a heartwarming story and moral dilemmas that leave no indifference. Over the course of the game, you get into the characters' fates, worry about their choices, and realize how important even the simplest decisions can be. This is a game that makes you think about power, responsibility and consequences.
I didn't expect to invest feelings in this.
I started this game pleasantly surprised by its charm. I adored the music and the bits of 'voice acting'. I loved the graphics in all its pixel glory.
What I assumed to be a relaxing resource management game about a small kingdom has forced into the shoes of the king of a small, struggling kingdom. But I wasn't just a king, I was also a father and a husband.
In the beginning, I was content and more than happy to decide how to deal with my people's struggles, but soon enough I found myself cornered into situations, into making decisions; in which I felt there wasn't much to win but everything to lose.
While I was ultimately triumphant against seemingly impossible odds by the end of my first playthrough, the tremendous losses I sustained left such a bitterness in my mouth. This cannot be the best I can do; there has to be a much better end than this. This game makes me want to keep playing until I reach the end of it all with more people alive and breathing by the side of my king.
(Spoiler alert I guess) This game has a scene where you're forced you to keep quiet or otherwise say 'Yes, your grace' to your daughter's abuser. Absolutely sick. Might just play this game a thousand times over to execute this guy.
Anyway, my second playthrough ended prematurely because I had too many mouths to feed. That was funny, I guess.
10/10
I like this game so much.
Every time I play titles like this one I get the thought that it's not the budged or the size of the game map, that makes the game good, but something I could call a "soul"
(this exciting atmosphere of the adventure that does not let you go until you have completed it).
And this game definetly has it!
love these simple pixel games with good story cant wait for next months sequel
yes your grace is an intriguing game that ropes you into its world quickly, but ultimately feels a little bit...lackluster? i think that's mostly something to do with it being marketed as a choices matter game when in reality the story is quite linear, with the biggest changes being ones told to you post-credits or on a title card between scenes. and that sucks!
at the same time, though, i think that's an interesting narrative choice to make for a game about managing a kingdom where every return is a negative: everything that goes wrong is inevitable, you only get to choose *how* wrong it all goes
it's neat seeing all the little B-plots connect and mingle with each other. the archive feature is a really nice way to track every choice and every branch you've placed yourself on, too! but there's just...so many and at some point they all start blending together. to illustrate what i mean: i was interested in what my people wanted at first, but as the game progressed i started to ignore the weight of my choices and just picked what would give me the most resources for later. i want to care about the lives i'm ruining/saving! but they're so inconsiquential in terms of the larger game
but still, it was a powerful story, one that took pivots i was absolutely not expecting a cute little pixel game to take (it gets...really dark actually) and it was a blast sitting along for the ride. despite it being one i don't see myself going back to anytime soon, i think it's worth the ride if you grab it on a sale!
Fast paced little game of thrones game. Things can go from incredibly good to incredibly worse.
Best two dollars I've spent so far. Absolute cinema.
The snail always comes to claim its dues.
A really fun resource management game with some really great pixel art. Absolutely worth the few hours it takes to play through
not a choices-matter game at all.The consequences are not that big and whatever you do there's only few endings of these characters in game. You can't save your daughter. But can't ask for more at a indie game
This is easily one of the most amazing games I have ever played. the beautiful pixelated art style and the amazing story with such an amazing cast of characters. Every choice I made and its consequences hit me deeply. The ending with it's small "summary" based on your character's fates made me tear up a bit reading it. It's an amazing game and worth every penny!
((P.S Let Cedani keep the bear omg))
Fun visual novel, where you send your agents on missions and deal with peasants' problems. It also features emotional story line for protagonist of the game - the king.
I have two issues with the game:
1. Walking animations get tiring really fast and there should have been fast movement option like most point and click adventures have.
2. I wish your decisions had more of an impact, you can basically just throw money at the peasants and fund every single request with no downsides.
That said I still had fun and I hope some of these issues are addressed in the upcoming sequel.
Fun, and worth alot of playthroughs to get endings you want
Had a blast with this game. The story was very compelling. I'm waiting very impatiently for the sequel/DLC
The story is good, every decision made in the game is important.
A hidden gem. The graphics are cute and effective, but the story just grips you and won't let go. As it twists and turns there are game elements that are dominant in taking the decisions - but it has taken a long time that a narrative has actually made me hold my breath as the game unfolds in certain parts. Just great, a must play.
When I started Yes, Your Grace, I thought I was just stepping into a charming pixel art game about running a medieval court. What I didn’t expect was how quickly I would become emotionally invested in the story, the characters, and the weight of every decision I made.
At first, it felt manageable. Hear petitions, make choices, keep your kingdom alive. But the more I played, the harder everything became. Decisions were no longer about resources alone. They were about people I had come to care about. My family, my allies, even some strangers. I caught myself pausing for minutes, thinking through the consequences of a single “yes” or “no.”
The game has a way of making you feel the pressure of being a ruler, but also a father and a human being. It’s not always fair, and that’s what makes it feel so real.
By the end, I wasn’t just managing a kingdom. I was trying to protect something fragile and important. And when things went wrong, it hurt in a way I didn’t expect from a game like this.
Yes, Your Grace surprised me. It stayed with me. And I’d gladly return to that throne again.
Finished the game twice (once on other account), it's a really great charming little game that is actually re-layable. find myself coming back to this game, its got a lot to it for a 6 ish hr playthrough
Lovely game that pulled me in immediately. Could be more engaging with more impactful decisions, but the story will captivate you. All I can say is... stay safe :')
This game, in which we rule a small kingdom in a fictional universe in the Middle Ages, is based on simple mechanics and strategies, while at the same time we face the difficulties of being a king, while trying to solve a mysterious murder, while trying to keep an eye on our family and at the same time trying to keep our kingdom alive.
With games, enjoyment can be found in various ways. One of those ways is through storytelling. If you tell a compelling enough story, then flaws related to the aspect of gameplay can be overlooked. Another way a game can be enjoyed is in its gameplay loop. Even if there's no particular purpose to the gameplay loop in terms of altering the course of the game, if it's fun then that's all that matters.
That's why I don't really pay mind to the criticisms about the illusion of choice. This game gave me both a journey and destination that altogether had an impact on me.
An excellent choose-your-own-adventure/point-and-click/kingdom management fantasy medieval adventure that I binged through in 10 hours. The character writing (especially Cedani, my little pumpkin, and all her hijinks involving her roster of wild pets), the world building, and the management gameplay itself was excellent and I found that my decisions mattered in the unfolding of this story, which is crucially important for a choose-your-own-adventure game, well... for the most part. The one event that I wish had more flexibility for the sake of replay value was everything around the first wedding. It would've made for a more heartbreaking first playthrough if there were actually substantial choices you could make to completely avoid Lorsulia's fate and would've made the second playthrough of actually saving her more satisfying... same for if you could figure out Ivo's nature earlier on and warn prepare for it. Other than that, all of the choices felt flexible in outcome and it made me feel like these were actually my decisions and not the character's or the game's decisions. I would've also liked if I could have actual combat gameplay as I feel like that could've made the final battle of the game more tense and climactic, and it could've also given the player a hands-on way of connecting with Asalia through sword sparring. I loved the visuals of this game and I'm looking forward to all improvements coming in the upcoming sequel.
Fun story-driven game about an unfortunate king and his responsibilities to family and kingdom. Characters and artstyle are very charming, and the story has a few twists to keep you deeply invested. Only complaint is most decisions don't have any meaningful consequences/rewards until the very end.
Incredible game. The fact I love the most is that the game is deep, it feels like everything devs wanted to include is there.
Great game, like life itself... but being an unlucky king. . Sad times, funny ones... etc I will play again for sure in some years. x)
If I have to point something bad it should be the "payment for day instead of task to each royal servant". In my opinion that does not make sense x)
9/10
I have absolutely loved playing Yes, Your Grace!
This game gives you the chance to get different outcomes for the characters and the story line depending on your choices, which i have enjoyed doing over the 12 hours of game play i got from this game.
I love the pixel art style for the characters and how the little details build up the game, and the artwork of the characters at the end was amazing. I loved the music throughout the game, it really built up the atmosphere.
I really enjoyed the story line throughout the game, and it had me hooked to try and find out what would happen if i made different choices, I was sad that i couldn't avoid one choice, but i think anyone who plays the game may agree with me there.
It took a bit of time for me to wrap my head around managing supplies, gold and contentment, but with a bit of practice and planning ahead it became a lot easier. Overall this game was really enjoyable!
I would highly recommend trying this game out on a sale. For $4-$5 I think it's absolutely worth it. The graphics are simple, and while I normally skip over games with a pixel-y art style, this one has soul. The setting and story are interesting. It's not easy to be a ruler, whenever you make a choice to help someone or do something positive you end up fucking over someone or ruling against another ally. Your choices are never easy and always made you feel like you were picking the lesser of two evils. I enjoyed that aspect, you really do feel like a King who is desperately trying to hold things together. Your pixel family has some nice characterization, there are a bunch of random citizens who are exasperating at times, and the enemy is a big fuckin douchebag. I would say the one thing that people seem to not enjoy is somewhat true...the fact that your choices matter but you can't totally change the direction of the overall story. You can steer your kingdom the best you can but you can't avoid certain pitfalls and disasters. That seems pretty realistic but I get why that can frustrate people. Overall it's not a game you can play 5-10 times because there aren't a bunch of vastly different endings. One play-through of doing everything took me about 8.5 hours. It feels like a game you would play once or twice and enjoy it. It's pretty short, but fun. I could nitpick the pacing and say the middle part of the games drags a bit, compared to the fun beginning and end. But there are a few good twists and hard choices that make this game worth a shot.
People complain about the gameplay, storyline, etc but what I'm interested in is Slavic medieval lesbians!
This game wants you to believe that your choices matter and that your choices can affect the future. However, the extent to which you can influence the world is so insignificant that it's ridiculous. It's an insult to the player that there are multiple scenarios and plot points that MUST happen and CANNOT be changed in any way. It really makes you feel like you have no power over anything, no matter how much you prepare or strategize.
Audry best boi.
Pretty captivating story, the resource management is kind of annoying but it's good enough. I got the game for 4 dollars (actually finished the game on console) and overall I'd say if you're into finding the endings or see yourself enjoying the story elements then its worth full price. Overall great game.
A lovely story and beautiful world. Easy to follow mechanics and a lot to explore.
Intense storytelling, but perhaps there needs to be a skip function, as it's really irritating on other runs to go through the same thing over and over. Especially Lorsulia. When you go up the wall, it's nice that they remove the UI to make it seem more dramatic but i have to trudge my way down slowly.
Also- It's kind of unreplayable, once you know what to do, what are the consequences of each action, you always never change your playstyle.
Overall, it's a nice one or two time expierence, but sometimes it feels a little slow if you've played it before.
Illusion of choice.
First 2-3 hours are great. The more you play the more you realise whatever you do ends up with basically the same outcome until the very, very end of the game.
Winning the battle? Doesn't matter, characters and story act as if you're losing and will rejoice when an avalanche destroys your entire army that was on the brink of defeating the enemy.
Should have sved all the ressources you wasted on building up that army, but then what for? You can just accept everything and help everyone as much as possible and everything will turn out fine. Idk, story and characters are really interesting, but the game is just not at all what it is masquerading as.
Disappointing
Short and sweet. I like the gameplay loop a lot, where you need to make decisions that are pretty tough most of the time. The fact that you need to balance resources and you won't always be able help everyone, along with the sacrifices you make along the way just to survive, gives this story more of a real feel. Props to the small dev team Brave at Night for creating this gem with such limited resources!
Enjoyed this game very much. First time i tried really hard not to google consequences of my actions nor save-scum since the story is very engaging I wanted to get to the end of it. Gameplay is simple yet interesting, which is also a perfect combo for such a game.
Story made me very sad tho, i wish it was possible for a king to change some inevitable outcomes
I picked up this game on a whim, not really sure what I'd make of it or if I'd get on with the art style.
To my pleasant surprise I found a charming, well written game with a surprising amount of depth! The characters drew me in quickly, and though a short game at around 4 hours for my first playthrough, I found myself rather emotional at times thanks to the story.
It is quite disappointing that in a game all about choices, the storyline is pretty much linear and it feels like you don't truly have much impact at all. The concept of the game is amazing, but sadly the lack of creative liberty granted to the player is too little for my liking.
Beautiful in its simplicity. The graphics don't try to stretch beyond the fantasy land that is created and the characters move in their world with the heaviness you would expect someone in that vague ancient era would use when weighing great decisions. I love that the drama and tension are built because the other characters remember your choices; they hold you accountable, they reflect on what you've done.
You have goals, yes, but it's an accurate way of seeing the halls of power: full of whispers, full of consequences. Worth playing and replaying. I think it's one of those games you'll think about even after having a satisfactory run-through because there are so many 'branches' to the possible choices. It's a work of art, both in design and intricacy. Fully recommended.
Good game. Does a great job making you feel the burdens of being a king. Choices aren't always easy or clear and when you make the wrong ones it can really hurt. It's a pretty solid management game with charming enough characters. I do think the characters could have been more interesting but they kept it simple and charming enough to be entertaining.
10/10 game. Requires some thought to balance everything which is good, nothing too taxing, logic and gameplay played really well with the narrative. I hope they make another one with a bigger dev team adding more complexity into the characters. As it is, I loved it and it played well, lovingly crafted, unique take, would love to play another game that was as thoughtfully put together so 10/10.
I was genuinely surprised by how well made this game is. The art, music, and atmosphere all work together very well to create a really enjoyable experience.
That said, the illusion of choice became a bit frustrating at times. While it feels like your decisions matter in the moment, in the grand scheme of things, a lot of choices don’t seem to have as much impact as you’d expect, if any at all.
It’s not a dealbreaker, but it does take away from the weight of your decisions when you realize the game is guiding you toward a set outcome regardless and take away from it’s replayability
Even with that criticism, I still really loved the game and had a great time playing it. It’s unique and engaging, and I’m really excited to see what they do with the sequel and truly can’t wait to play it !
