Used to love it, but this game is legit trash now. Devs don't update anymore, barely any players. Just play Stumble Guys. At least you get to punch people in that one, What a shame that they took the money and ran away.

Many governmental bodies around the world create systems for placing labels, along with best-by dates, on our food products. Once these best-by dates pass, these food products have an increased risk of spoilage and causing problems when consumed. However, some products may still be safe to consume after these dates pass, albeit with some degradation in quality and taste.

Fall Guys is that one expired soup can in the back of everyone's pantry. Drinking that soup may not kill you, but it will leave a bad taste on your mouth that makes you wonder why you didn't just throw it out. Fall Guys is a very well-known game and product from its novelty in the early 2020s. Over time, many new game modes have come out, along with large catalogs of fashion items and emotes for the players to play with. These new items are generally welcome, which is why I compare Fall Guys to a product that it is still edible.

In terms of being past its prime, however, Fall Guys has two major problems that make it outright impossible to play: (1) game-breaking connection issues; and (2) a bad monetization model. No matter how fun a game can be, if you can't play the game without getting frequently kicked out, the player will not have fun. These issues are frequent, with disconnects happening both at the start of games and mid-game. It is more likely than not that at least one of my friends in a squad will get disconnected before we finish a game. For those unfamiliar with how Fall Guys works, games consist of about four rounds, which takes about 15 mins. This means that, most of the time, we can't bring a squad into a 15-minute game without getting kicked out. This renders the game frustratingly unplayable in its current state.

For the monetization model, Fall Guys offers a large selection of fashion items for purchase, but almost all of these items cost premium currency. The accumulation of premium currency without a direct purchase is so slow that I still can't buy a single piece of an outfit, let alone a full outfit, even after 56 hours at the time of this review. On top of that, even if I was able to buy a cute outfit, I wouldn't be able to show it off, because I would get disconnected so often that no one would be able to see it.

The frequent connection issues are an unforgivable sin and render a game that was once a great time into a waste of time. I can't recommend buying or playing this game in its current state. Take this expired product and throw it in the trash.

This game taught me a couple of things:

1. I don't like massive-multiplayer games. I don't like battle royal.
2. I should not buy massive-multiplayer games when there is hype - the hype will evaporate.
3. "Fall Guys is a free" - ughh, I paid money? Like, around $10?
4. Fall Guys is no longer available on the Steam store.

i had to come back to this bummy ass game to get one of the most tedious achievements of all time, and sex still hasnt been added. All i can say is im disappointed, mabye one day my thirst will be quenched..

Extremely fun, especially with family and/or friends, and enough silly maps to throw a stick at. Don't cheat!

I'd recommend it if it weren't for the fact epic decided to remove it off of steam and are forcing you to go to their own launcher just to play it it's just so greedy

used to be OBSESSED with this game and it is not even funny. i lit got 683.3 hrs on this game and now that i look back at it im very surprised lol. i used to play it with my brother and sister when i was like i think 6 or 7 (i used to play this 24/7) so i really recommend this game if u like these types of games!

Played this when the game came out, went to play now again, cant play 1 game without getting DC from the servers.

Loved the game when it came out. Spent so much time with it during lock down. After Epic bought it, I gave it up.

Came back to check out the game. This game's fall off is insane. With new maps season to season that obviously took effort to make. Now there's nothing but crappy made maps in their map builder and new cosmetics consistently that nobody asked for. The last time this game was good was in 2022 to early 2023. The amount of maps vaulted is criminal. Good job Epic, way to ruin a fun party game to play with friends. Didn't think that was possible. I'd rather watch lead paint dry to the perfected crisp and eat that than play this game.

I don't really keep up with the development cycle of this game and if it has fallen off a cliff, but I still really enjoy this game. The only thing I have not done in this game is win 5 episodes in a row, and even then, winning 3 in a row felt like enough to me.

Making it a goal for every session to at least win one game made the replayability of this game seem endless to me, and this is coming from someone who never spent a dime on the game.

Guys listen, look up kyogiasu a.k.a. Dylanssoto on steam. That guys swears he hates this game, I think that hate is unjustified and he just needs to really try to enjoy it. it literally has EVERYTHING this guy likes about games, it is a fricken battle royale, puzzle, mini-games, survival, and strategy all in one. I think that he just thinks this is for kids, but I say this is perfect for all ages! I have never once had a bad experience while playing, and it even has its funny moments! I suggest going to Kyogiasu/Dylanssoto's page and leaving comments for him to play!

Been playing this game for a few years now and I love it, I come back every couple of months to revisit it. It can be so chaotic especially when you're getting pulled by everyone in the lobby, whilst at the same time being funny especially when you're with friends and you all get eliminated in the funniest ways. It's lighthearted but can also be competitive at times when you are just 2 cm away from qualifying, it has an overall good combination with different modes to play, the skins are okay. One annoying thing is that there is no chat option in game, hope they add that in the future to make it easier for friends with no mics. In addition to this, the camera angle is so annoying you cant look up towards to the sky which is a pain especially in modes like FallBall, hope they change this in the future too

i remember wasting my money on this and then it became free a few months later just to get a cheap in-game battlepass that i never asked for. getting a refund would've been better. dead game. it was fun though with friends but it gets boring after a few games i think. overall rating 5/10.

I miss how Fall Guys used to be before it opened up to other platforms, certainly the change of number of players in rounds is the greatest. However it's still a solid game that provides easy entertainment (and a bit of "rage" sometimes if you're seriously playing haha).
Also, to the developers, could you please fix the Happy Birthday Crown and return it to those that had it? It's been gone since that glitch and it was like my favorite item ever. I used it probably 95% on my bean. Please bring it back!

when I think of fall guys, I think of a flower. A beautiful flower blossomed from god's most golden hands. A blessing, within all of our lives that takes days and maybe even minutes to enjoy. Good for short or long session. Fun to play by yourself, but better with co-op or in a team.

Very fun for new players, but I wish there was skill-based matchmaking. Just to make it easier and more fun for new players AND everyone.

I have over 500 hours on this game. the ranked has turned out to be so disappointing that i genuinely cant even recommend playing right now... its unplayable. the disconnects also still effect ranks. shutting it back down to go into maintenance until its playable is the right move. i will also edit my review with multiple paragraphs about why i DO recommend this game if its fixed but until then... its just get to gold and wait until its fixed because you cant even go anywhere. Also add squad ranked and duos ranked i get not having trios or even duos not being included... BUT SQUAD?! you know how many people i got to download this game cuz i thought we were gonna get to play together and they uninstalled upon finding out its solos only...

Great game. Sadly is slowly being ruined by points rounds and catering to children between 2 - 12. Was a great game now you have mostly 30 second rounds filled with children.
