I found the premise of this game interesting enough to give it a try. You get an order of a build-a-bear oh wait, I meant build a boyfriend lol. I wanted to see if you could let the boyfriend from a box become his own person without your influence. And well...sort of. I have to say the dialogues were very cringe worthy and a lot of it just didn't sit right with me at all. The main character is not customizable at all and is on top of that very unlikeable. The boyfriend seems somewhat okay but there are moments their relationship made me super uneasy. Especially before the finale where the boyfriend has a defect and has mood swings. The artwork is either a hit or a miss, the in game unlockable screens are pretty cute but the sprites themself could be better. But alas, art is subjective anyways. Overall, this dating sim doesn't really have a deep story as you might think, a lot of it is just grinding and building skills and money and what not. The most interesting "personas" were supposed to be released with the DLC that just never launched. The developer also doesn't seem to be active anymore. Kinda wish they would have at least put an explanation for their reasonings. According to other reviews this is a trend with this developer which sucks. I feel like this game had great potential and the execution is just meh.

some nsfw shit ı play on my main acc. I found it pretty great tho. Well, got a package from a stranger and it gives you a "shapeable" boy who is also half robot. Well, it have 18+ dlcs that gives it pretty spice.
And you have 6 or 7 endings. good luck with that.

Otome/amare fans wanting to play a very indulgent and cute stat-raising sim will likely enjoy this.

I typically prefer otomes that are plot-heavy and feel less like the...indulgence this game was? I'm trying to wrap up my thoughts after finishing the game and I find it difficult. It was fun, cute, and it was interesting to see all the bad ends or alternate decisions. It's not without plot, mind, but the core premise is very heavily leaned into: this is about a boy who would like ever so much to become YOUR perfect boyfriend, more or less, and the events that occur along the way. This never stops being the focus, and it works!

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I think people looking for a plot-heavy tale like Nameless or Crimson Spires might be disappointed, but those looking for exactly what this game advertises itself as will have fun.

There are routes missing. Fashionista and Thrill-seeker are supposed to be part of an expansion pack, yet the choices to make Beta Boyfriend a Fashionista or Thrill-seeker are still in the game. It is just a bit disappointing. Like why have the option if nothing happens? I did enjoy the routes I was able to play and I hope it continues to be developed further. But at the state it's in now, I don't recommend this game.

MC with a very rude and off putting personality. I found the writing very amateur and boring.It's up their with Saints Row 2022 in terms of cringe-inducing writing. There was talk of an update and expansion but last I heard of it seems to be over a year ago. I just found it a slog to get through in the time I've spent with it. It's just a pile of cliches and and unlikable mc. Maybe I'll revisit someday if the update ever happens.

This game was cute! While I liked some routes more than others, the writing was witty and fun, and there were a lot of heartwarming moments that I enjoyed a lot. I liked it enough to 100% it, but I will say I wish the stat building elements had been a bit more fleshed out -- for most of the paths, just sticking to work is enough to get the character through it. If you're not sure about the game, I'd say it's a great purchase to make when its on sale considering the low base price.

PS - I know the developer was working on additional DLC for this some time ago, and I hope it does eventually come out!!

PPS - Jonah Scott does the voice over quips for the boyfriend and they are short but lovely, so that's a whole extra reason to get and enjoy this game :)

Cute, fun, and worth the price in my opinion. Sometimes I found that, regardless of personality, the MC's actions didn't really mesh well with me and I would wish for more customization, but that's an understandable thing to be missing considering the length and cost of the game. I hope that the DLC for the other boyfriend personalities is released soon, since the ones that are not out yet are the ones I'm looking forward to most. :'') If you ever read the shoujo manga "Absolute Boyfriend" and enjoyed it, I can pretty much promise you'll get some enjoyment out of this.

this game is definitely amazing, with inclusive options and funny dialogue. however, i am running into a problem. so far, ive only been able to unlock the base boyfriend and the flirt. ever since i finished the flirt's route, no matter how many times i reset, chose a different mc personality, or uninstalled and reinstalled the game, the only job options it lets me choose are the ones that lead to the flirt. even if i choose one of the available options, and only go for activities that lead to, say, the prince type, it gives me the base bf. what do i do? am i missing something obvious?

Don't bother with picking this up. Devs aren't working on it anymore.

I bought the game back in April and played through it thinking the two types of guys I wanted were in the game (figured they were hidden and I had to play one route for them to show up.) only to find out they are via a DLC. The only problem is that the devs have apparently canceled any further production of the game which means the DLC is never coming out. Even though it's still listed on here as COMING SOON. Tried to get a refund because I just found all of this out and because I actually played through the game and went past the 2 hour time limit I am no longer able to refund it.

I actually love this game! Its the first game i was very willing to spend my money on and it delivered! The MC is actually refreshing, she's not your typical happy-go-lucky MC that you usually see, matter of fact, i wouldn't say she fits into a trope at all. She actually has depth to her character, and a reason for why she acts the way she does. And i definitely feel as if many people can relate to her, emotion-wise.

The boyfriends are great, they are the only personality tropes in this game and i live for it!! Its worth mentioning that they have their fair share of issues to, that they're able to express and share with the MC, which i love. I love each and every one of them, My main boys have gotta be the Flirt and the Bad Boy though. I would write about them but we'd be here for a while.

I'd deffo recommend this game to anyone who wants a dating sim to play! It's actually perfect, and i can't wait to play the Thrillseeker's route!

(also a bit nsfw for me to say in the review, but i see some people on here about the game 'not showing genitalia' in the CGs. You gotta set your playthrough to 17+ at the very start of the game. Idk if there's multiple of them, but there's definitely one CG that does, i won't mention which boyfriend route its from though, that's for you to find out ;))

I consider myself a lover of Visual novels and saw that many of the old reviews are outdated since the updates have been put into place so would give my two cents. As someone who fresh and having played this game for the first time let me say it quite addicting and so fun to play.

There are four new personalities for the MC, Moody, Cheery, Detached and Flirty. Moody kind of well- Moody and probably was the original default personality that everyone ranting against. Cheery actually a very decent and nice person who has no idea how to handle things, detached is the sane one that questioning life choices... And Flirty is the thirstiest of them all and made me laugh quite a bit. Also it is quite good at allowing you to choose the right pronouns and anatomy which also gives some nice variety!

Now onto the boys, I don't want to spoil things so won't go into too much depth. But I really enjoy how they try to show off each personality so they all seem like unique and VERY different people. Even though they came from one Base Boyfriend and it fun to watch them grow into their own person. Also the sex scenes can be adorably vanilla (Base and Prince) or be very spicy (Badboy and Flirt).

Though I will say was a bit disappointed at how disproportional these are distributed as Base and Prince only get one sex scene while the other two get multiple. Even though both have you dating them around the same time mostly main problem being it kind of makes the Badboy and Flirt not get as much development while the base and prince are a bit too vanilla. Still it really good and doesn't detract from my enjoyment.

I'm quite eager on the future BF that I saw on their official page to be part of the game especially with these new personalities I'm sure everyone can enjoy some life to them.

Honestly, I've never written a review before but since most of these reviews were from 2019 from people with only one hour or two on record I felt like I should put in my two cents. The game is a bit rough around the edges but for someone who absolutely adores this type of game and genre, it has a lot of replay value like other visual novels. Saying that as someone who loves the challenge of obtaining all good and bad endings the game has to offer, honestly I really enjoy this game even if it's not everyone's cup of tea. The art is cute and really well done, along with the writing. (Seriously it feels like the game is hinting at a much darker undertone with the Protagonist's job.) But the characters even the random NPC's are charming and quirky. Plus, there's the added bonus of choosing your anatomy and pronouns for the LBGTQ+ fans which a lot of games of this genre don't offer. And the MC at times while being animated feels real at some points in the game which props to the creator because that's not easy to do. This game has a lot of potential. And is graciously being updated and worked. So give it a chance and experience it for yourself.

I like the game despite it's minor flaws (other reviews already talked about that).

The MC isn't a cheery, innocent extrovert (yay). They already made their experiences in life and those shaped their character. (I would love to know more about the MCs past (parents) btw). They are very human - their 'irradical' behaviour made sense to me (I'm an introvert).

The character art is very cute :3


PS: Seeing, that some of the negative reviews hardly have 2 hours of game play (refunding policy), I'd suggest to put some extra love in the first two hours of future games.

The dialogue isn't always the best written thing ever, but there's effort and love in it.

The different personalities are fun.

The protagonist can be a bit frustrating at times, but I appreciate they're a full character and not a cardboard cut-out. I can't stand bland sauce protagonists so it was a nice change of pace to get someone who actually felt like a person.
After playing the 3 main routes (I still need basic boi) I like that they did grow and change and try to be better with the personality they helped to influence.

Wtf is up with this dystopian "someone is always watching you" thing going on in the background?
It's kind of creepy ._. like I find it more distracting than the concept of a lab-grown customizable boyfriend.

In all honesty, I expected quite a bit from the game, but it was really bad. The MC is a very negative and annoying character. To the point where I couldn't even stand playing the game, let alone completing the game.

This is just awful. The MC is a terrible, horrible person. I can't even finish a route. Tried for a little over an hour, but I can't get through this. Not even worth the sale price. Unless you get a kick out of treating people like trash, I don't think you'll enjoy this game.

Fun enough game, but I really get tired of the protagonist's personality. They're way more abrasive and presumptuous than I generally like playing.

Prime example: I was playing as a guy. Ergo, my relationship with my boyfriend was queer. Nevertheless, when I was being introduced to a woman who runs a boutique, the protag automatically assumed her partner was a boyfriend. Surprise surprise, she turns out to be a lesbian. And as the little internal dialogue box noted, it was "lame of me" to just assume she had a boyfriend. Well, no kidding, and in real life I DID NOT ASSUME THAT. It just left me feeling like I was being scolded for something I didn't do, and that's not what I'd call fun.

Also apparently it's impossible to have a good relationship with your parents. The game acts as if you can choose whether or not this is the case, but things still devolve into drama of varying degrees. If I'm honest, I really, really hated that. Regardless of what somebody's relationship with their real-life parents is like, this is a visual novel. If I say I like my parents, I want that to be taken into account in the narrative. Otherwise why bother giving me the option to say it?

In general the protagonist is just prickly. And there are reasons given for that; as characterization, it's fine and makes sense. But it left me with this weird feeling of never being able to fully identify with the protagonist, while at the same time unable to distance myself enough from them to enjoy watching as an outside observer. After all, a central conceit of the game is that you craft your own personal ideal boyfriend. If we're using my ideals, then I feel like I should identify with the protagonist. But I could not, most of the time.

Still giving it a thumbs up, because the production values are pretty good for a Steam visual novel at this price. The art is pleasant, the writing is competent, and I found I was emotionally engaged often enough to keep playing. There were a few moments I actually found a bit poignant. This is a fun little thing. You will probably be entertained, especially if the protagonist appeals to your playstyle more than mine.

If this were to get a sequel or remake, I'd advise letting us either have more input into the protagonist's characterization, or else making it more clear that we're playing a character on which we're not really supposed to project ourselves. Giving the protag their own sprite would help, and possibly talking about them as a separate person from "you" (as referring to the player) in the summary.

Worth buying on sale, as I did, just go into this knowing that you may clash with the protagonist's pre-set personality.

You know, sometimes I really wish Steam allowed reviewers to use a star system instead of the yes/no for recommendations. Like I said earlier, Signed and Sealed with a Kiss is not bad, per se; again, all the writing and art is competent. Just the protagonist drives me nuts. I can easily imagine people liking this game. However, after a lot of thought, I've decided I must change my review to be negative.

The crux of the issue is, asking me directly "Do you recommend this game?" obliges me to take into account whether or not I would actively tell people I know to buy it. And let's say I did that: It would look kind of suspicious that I didn't play it in almost a year, wouldn't it? There are, of course, a lot of games I enjoy that I simply don't have time for or are best played once or twice, but, well... Signed and Sealed with a Kiss isn't like that. Coming on to one year later and under a lockdown that obliges me to spend more time playing games for recreation, I have no desire to replay this game. It's not "remove it from my library" bad by any means, but whenever I think about playing it again I'm hit with memories about how frustrated I was with the protag. And I don't think I can ethically say "I recommend this game" when I myself cannot enjoy it.

Again, though, I implore customers to look at my earlier review. Maybe the protagonist's personality as I described it isn't too far off from what you'd like playing. If there were a star system, I'd probably be giving the game 2.5 out of 5, maybe even a 3, because there really is a lot of decent art and writing. The dev team obviously cared about this game, and I hope to see them succeed in other projects. Unfortunately for me, the whole is less than the sum of its parts.

The idea for the game is one with lots of potential but the execution was bad. If you want to see this idea executed right look up a Japanese manga / drama series called 'Absolute Boyfriend'. It's basically the same thing. Save your money and don't buy this.

Going to give it a good mark, since there are very few games like that around and this one is of a good quality.
But honestly, it's more for ladies. I'm a gay man, so playing it I couldn't associate myself with the main character, even though I could select the gender, name, etc. He was just behaving like a little shy stubborn girl almost the whole story. Like, you can pimp your man-doll, but you're super ashamed of seeing him nude or having sex... It's just too romantic and naive. I wish there were some real porny or, at least, erotic pictures with nudity, but there were not really, only shirtless (even though Steam allows these days super explicit content). But the art was good in general.

I bought this last night and ended up staying up til after 2 am so I could finish my first BF. It's a great game, funny one moment only to turn around and smack ya with feels the next. It's a fun game with an unbeatable price.
