Story:
A few weeks have passed since SORD successfully resolved the Kitaoka University terrorist incident - albeit with some sacrifices - when Murasaki's older sister Yuuki returns to Japan to rejoin Class A.
Being more sociable and capable than her sister, Yuuki immediately befriends the other students and builds a trusting relationship with them.
"There's no reason for me to be at Mihama anymore..."
As Murasaki starts questioning her raison d'etre, she reminisces about the time when she first met Haruto.
Lamenting his lack of experience, he had come to her village hidden deep in the mountains in search of new skills.
Where could he find this supposed "secret art" that is said to have been passed down for generations...?
"I'll never forgive you...!!"
"It's okay... Don't worry... I'm not... going anywhere... I'm here with you..."
"I'm stumped... It's exactly as she said - and there's no way to cut a phantom..."
"Come on. Chin up... Show me your courage..."
Their fateful meeting was also the beginning of a tragic story...

Vol.5 Murasaki & her sister yuuki's past
I just love how each vol show's the past or their trauma to learn about the character just like how they did with the original trilogy of grisaia, excited for vol 5.5 (arisaka sensei)
A good sequel with ninjas
i dont know who thought increasing price by 100%-300% would be a good marketing strategy but i gotta do what i can do by leaving a negative review to discourage people from spending money on these games
Took about 3.5 hours to read but I did doze off for an unknown amount of time (probably not long). Not worth $15 but the bundle is a good price.
This was my favorite of what's been released so far. Focusing on Murasaki this time and adding her sister to the cast. Murasaki has always been my favorite but her sister is just as good. Some very nice looking CGs this time. It takes a little to finally get to the backstory but it was worth all the gun talk before.
Use Magpie to upscale the game and it looks incredible.

Saki's story, another amazing great master-piece, very interesting ending just like Volume 3. It got me emotinal once again, another great way to say the story was amazingly made.
Probably my favourite entry into the series so far - Saki's story hadn't been touched on before this episode, so was interesting to find out the details behind her personality. Similar format as the prequels & OST/Art is very similar (to be expected). Overall quite happy with Vol.5 (with my only major critique being it would have been better if a bit-longer, more like the original Grisaia series.

For this volume, it focuses on one of the girls namely Murasaki. Also, new character comes in. This volume is more on about the backstory of Murasaki and the mc and for once doesnt have any serious missions going on except on the flashback...
6/10 another nice volume for this series.
The action for this volume gives me goose bumps, looking forward to the next volume !, Release it please >.<
The next would be Harutos Story ?? wow protagonist its self at last, probably an epic feels train.

The ninja nerd turns out to be legit, and a very talented one at that with them OP sharingan. Personally, I think Murasaki's past are the most tragic one among the other girls, damn those Uchiha bullshit man. And it's seems like the next volume would be where the real story will begun and time for Haruto to shine too probably?
Finally the backstory for my favorite girl in this series: Murasaki!
I'm so happy to see that this series is not over yet, Volume 6 hype!
Grisaia Phantom Trigger is a series of Visual Novels with 5 volumes so far.
I bought volumes 1-3 and even before finishing volume 1, I had to buy volume 4 as well. Played them all one after the other and then had to wait almost a month for volume 5, that I bought on release [of course].
I was actually sad that I was too late to back this project on Kickstarter. Vol 6: here I come!
That's how good they are!
The series is about a group of girls and a boy that work for the 'government' and go on secret missions. There's action, drama and hilarious moments.
Each volume is centered around the past of an specific character. So you get to learn more about them, what happened to them, why they are the way they are and act the way they do.
The voice acting and music are perfect as always.
I really like all the characters and they make me feel an urge to hug and comfort them. They are just so adorable in their own way.
The series only gets better and better. Can't wait for volume 6... and 7... and 8... and 9..

That is how ninja roll.
It felt a lot closer to the original trilogy in terms of writing then the other 4 volumes. And its about best girl, so it's the best volume.
Ninja time!
With this being the 5th of these games, we finally dig into the story of Murasaki to find out what this sleepy and quirky ninja is all about. I'd say that by now you already know the general pattern that these stories are going to play out, but it actually is a little different this time. Murasaki's older sister Yuuki suddenly shows up after an extended time overseas doing missions and wastes no time in shaking things up. For most of the cast, this is relatively minor as Yuuki screws around, shows off her love of AK's, and makes up grandiose stories about the past. But for Murasaki, her older sister has always been her "better" in her eyes, and so she ends up sinking into melancholy and wondering if she isn't needed anymore. Eventually this leads to an exploration of the backstories of the two sisters and what happened when Haruto stayed at their home for a time to try to learn some ninja skills.
I might have gone into this story biased because before Vol. 5 Murasaki was already looking like my favorite character even if I didn't know much about her. But after having finished this story, that thought has recieved some notable reinforcement. Of all the four "backstory" episodes of Volumes 2 through 5, this one is probably the best. In a way, it feels like a return to the higher quality of storytelling in the original Grisaia trilogy. It certainly helps that they decided not to throw in a present day "mission" and instead just focused their attention on Murasaki, Yuuki, and Haruto. It's refreshing in a series that was becoming increasingly formulaic.
As for the rest, it is as expected for this series. The game was short (3 to 3 1/2 hours), but I wasn't as annoyed by that this time as I have been in the past. At least these games are getting a little longer. Art, voice acting, and other technical aspects are all still excellent. My biggest concern actually isn't about this game at all, but rather about the series. Now that all four of the major heroines (Rena, Tohka, Chris, Murasaki) have all had their backstories explored, what comes next? Are we going to do a Haruto backstory episode too? Considering how much we also learned about Haruto in this episode, I'm not so sure about that. Regardless, to me it feels like they have sufficiently introduces their characters and now it is time for some real present day drama that goes beyond some little hostage situation or a group of terrorists who need to get whacked.
In short, Vol 5 is good stuff and probably my favorite of the Phantom Trigger games yet. But for the next one, they really ought to do something new and interesting. Hopefully that's what we will get next. :D
