Has some really helpful functionality. Makes designing games much easier! Would like to have better documentation, but otherwise its very intuitive. Saving and move projects between computers can be a challenge so be very careful with that.
I am not using this for professional board game design, but to speed my workflow of prototyping onto TTS, and after only 11 hours with it please take this review with a grain of salt.
TTC Pro is good but not great tool for gathering assets and exporting into a format Tabletop Simulator understand—it is not, as other reviews have said, integrated with TTS or Tabletopia.
The Discord community is a fantastic source of help with the current bugs and workarounds. TTC should probably should still be considered Early Access.
I was pretty excited for this software and wanted to put some of my vision onto paper with it. For the price point and based on the marketing I expected a robust tool. This was pretty...basic. It's possible that there is just a steep learning curve and I'm still behind it and maybe things will "click". Fining supporting documentation or instructions isn't easy, there are a handful of videos that give you the overview...but I don't know where you would go to learn the deeper functions. Right now, I'm not getting much value out of this software.
For example, I want to procedurally generate a a non-equilateral triangle and the software can't support that. There is only one triangle shape it can make with proscribe angles that can not be altered. That seems a bit basic to me.
Additionally, I think while it can be used to make board games...I don't think that is a strength of the software. This is a card making software that can also do some extra stuff kinda. If you want to make a 3' x 3' map for a board game...best of luck.
If this was $50, I'd say it was worth it.
When I first got this software I got it for a Christmas gift. I was going through a little bit of a hard time and needed something to distract me. So my husband bought me this program. I didn't know how to use it. I didn't know anything about building a board game but I always knew that I wanted to create something and I kinda knew what I wanted to do. After trying out the software a little bit and just playing with it. I was able to figure out how to use it for the most part 〽️ on my own. It as very easy to learn. It was actually interesting to figure out how everything worked and to come up with the idea and everything myself. After getting it, we started noticing that it was getting updated quite frequently, which was a good thing. They were just incorporating more and more and more and waking. They needed an even easier process for me to build this game. I am the first game took me about. I think I have 700 hours into it but there was a lot of stuff that happened with my computer itself as well and it cost me to have to rebuild some of it. So it's kind of a little bit of my own fault. But after doing some research anyways they say that it takes about 6 months to build a good board game from start to finish. So they would be around the same amount of time than it was for that don't be deterred by trying to do something that you want to do after having a breakdown of my own and finding this, it actually helped me figure out what it is in life that I wanted. It really did change me to the creators of this board game Creator. Keep doing what you're doing, the constant upgrades and the way that you have always been there to support any questions that I have quickly has been truly amazing. If you keep doing this you guys will be the best. You really do put your clients first and I really appreciate you guys. I appreciate your hard work and dedication. The time you have spent with not only just me but everyone else in the community. I look forward to many more creations together and the amazing things I know all of us here will dream up and create. I appreciate everything about Tabletop Community.

Had a bit of steeper learning curve then the card creator, but now that I have that down, it is a wonderful tool for prototyping.
First of all -
Yes, it's worth the pricetag!
Second -
The overwhelming majority of my usage has been converting community assets for my favorite board games. No more mix/match quality parts, everything is nice and uniform, everything the same size, the same fonts, the same style. I can physically fabricate really nice parts, but finding consistent, quality parts can be tricky. Community members may have great ideas, but no ability or inclination to create high quality printables - now *all* my Warhammer Quest, Shadows of Brimstone, Runebound, Descent, Mage Knight, Stuffed Fables, Magic Realm etc etc etc have nice, consistent additions.
The software is easy to use and versatile. There are some features I'd still like to see - dynamic panels, text flow around images, etc - but there are usually workarounds and solutions I can find. The community on Discord are helpful and friendly.
If you're looking to finally make your great idea for a game into a reality, or just want to unify all your modifications, Tabletop Creator will absolutely give you the tools you need, and doesn't require a masters degree to navigate. Start slow, come hang out with us in Discord, ask questions, and you'll be making good looking parts in no time.
$289 AUSTRALIAN DOLLARS.
