As a person who really into the furry fandom for more than 5 years, i'll say this game is a cursed. I have seen many type of art and the problem with this is about the 'face' and it cursed. The only detail i know that 'thing' is a fox is from the tail. If you like a furry with a 'fully' human face, you can go to anime style, don't just mix 50-50.

The game received no update for the last 3 yearss and still in Early Access? Seem like dev have ABANDONED the game. DON'T WASTE your MONEY on this

Rate: 2/10 Avoid at all cost

A relatively short taste of a weird game with a very light grip on any notion of normality. I say this as a good thing btw. You play as a bombshell fox girl in the same body type style of Jessica Rabbit. You will start everyday with a bowl of cereal and be on your merry way to do a few tasks for the day. It is mostly fetch quests with a single platforming section. After 2 days you will reach the end of the current content (possibly only content if the lack of updates is anything to go by). As someone who was a fan of Xander back in the day this game was interesting enough to get to the end but it was a little more than half an hour so take that into consideration. I recommend it for the $1 asking price mostly because I want the creator to finish the game so I can see where this fever dream goes to.

Horny shitpost is a horny shitpost. I am interested in what is to come, but my expectations are the lowest they have been for anything. It is easy to get lost, as to where to go; however, I guess the lacking quality is to be expected from a $1, unity, early access game. As of now, the only reason to buy this is to fund whatever (likely another horny shitpost) the creator is doing next.

hello my name is lywor and this game is a sweet like lovely but it is broken and u can do things in it like no other game. open world is the size of a football stadium in the game. some parts in the game get glitch up and blink alot. a very easy game would have wanted it to be harder and longer. why did u not add a feature so people can make it how they want it. weather it is censored or uncensored or u can add things so people can see how really she can be seen in the game. i would have liked if u added nipples and a clit on her and make the game rated x. if u fix this game and tweak it up alittle and add dlc's it will be a gold mine for u. so plz dev listen to my calling and plz help this game shine in the light so others can see it too. thank u so much for listening to me and have a blessfull day.

When I first looked at this game's steam page, I originally mocked the players for all seemingly writing very long reviews, be them negative or positive; however, after playing, I can assure you, their enthusiasm(??) is well founded. First we have to start off at the beginning of the game.

One reviewer had speculated that the beginning of the game her sleeping and waking up is a form of escapism. This is untrue. As we can clearly tell, she wakes up at 6:00 sharp every morning. Similarly, she always states "What a perfect day it will be!" Obviously, she has nothing to hide from. Or at least, that's what one would think at first glace. She is clearly a model citizen, even boasting the prestigious Fox City 'Model Citizen Award'. But behind that stunning exterior, something more troubling is brewing inside of her. For what does she do all of these acts for? Why is she the model citizen she is? Despite all of her acts, she still struggles with these thoughts.
Throughout the game, we are able to witness her amazing character development, as she slowly transforms from the cookie-cutter citizen that society forces her to be, into the true, raw, adulterated predator she is. The main supporting character, BB Wolf, supports this change, and does her upmost to promote it subtlety throughout the storyline. The most key example would be her famous quote: "No thank you Lovely, when a [predator] gets a of chicken [it's] kinda hard to eat cereal." Society is able to accept BB Wolf, but not yet Lovely Fox.
Another supporting piece to this theory is the title itself. While the game, herself and BB Wolf refer to Lovely Fox as that name verbatim, Grampy Fox does not. That's because he does not want her to be that. A / lovely / fox is certainly not a true fox. Furthermore, the Flower King also doesn't refer to this name. He, in his infinite wisdom, sees through Lovely Fox's outer shell.
And lastly, we can see the final piece of evidence in the collectables(?) throughout the game. Lovely Fox herself, is posing in risqué shots. She is finally rejecting the society's perception of her. She is no longer 'Lovely' Fox. She is truly who she wants to be. And yet, these photos are deceptively hidden in pottery, and scattered throughout the world. Why? Because society refuses to accept who she is. Despite knowing who she truly is, she has to hide it, and force the 'lovely' façade throughout her day-to-day life. Society has forced her to hide the pictures of her true self from the world.
But this arc is not complete. In the story, she never completes this change. This is uncharacteristically shown to us without room for debate, when she interacts with Patsy and Gina Pig. She is forced to deliver flowers to them with no compensation. She is not even given the respect she deserves. She, despite craving to rip into their tasty pig flesh, is unable to. Why? Certainly not that pigs are significantly larger than foxes IRL. No. It's because society refuses to let her. Society.
And in the tragic ending of this story, we never receive the closure we crave. She never breaks the social stigma, and never shows her true self to the world. We never see her finally become just... Fox. Does she break free? Finish the metamorphosis that was started? Or does she simply live a meaningless cul de sac as she has been thus far, merely being the model citizen she was never meant to be? I suppose we'll never know...


As you can see, this game, as a video game essay, is a masterpiece. The use of metaphors, irony and allusion all clearly leads the player to realise the issue with our society. We are forcing humans, just like Lovely Fox to act as, no, to BE things they are not. Things they never will be. For what? Because society refuses to accept them otherwise.

Well, as for gameplay itself, there is much to be desired. Although there's nothing particularly wrong with the theories implemented, such as the universally loved fetch-quest, the main issue for me was the bugs. When I was first thrust into this unfamiliar world, I clipped out of the house, never to receive the comfort(and quest item) that is offered inside.

Overall, I'm holding out for the update, this game is clearly incomplete, considering it's still and early-access game. With luck, we'll get some glitch patches, and the completion of the storyline where we can finally know the ambiguous ending of this modern masterpiece. 1/10.

I actually thought it was quite fun. while the breasts were on large side. I can ignore that, lots of people seem to like large breasts anyway. not for me, but im ok with it.
I explored the entire Map, It is a Large Map. I mean I do hope for more content. It has nice scenery.

the Minus. Wish more for NPC talking. Wish more content was released before game came out. Breast size could have been bit smaller.

Is this game GOOD? No, not particularly. But am I in love with it? Yes. 100%. You wake up as the most cartoonishly buxom fox babe in all the land (with a fairly creepy face, let's be real. It's the eyes) and you sit down to have a nice bowl of Fox Pops (Gotta have my Pops!) and you explore the forest and here's just a list of things you do

-Deliver flowers to equally buxom pig girls who do literally nothing else
-Chase down and capture what are essentially evil living Pokemon in a platforming section that is far more dramatic than it has any right to be
-Perform a sexy twerking dance for a weird...pirate fox hermit dude?
-Give a slightly less sexy fox a bottle of water
-Help a big tiddy wolf hunt down a big chicken, that is...a GIANT chicken
-MEET FOX JESUS

And this is all just in the early access. Look. We all know why anyone is gonna buy this game. Because we all wanna bone zone the protagonist. No judgement here. But it does play okay, and it's in early access and I would be lying if I said I didn't wanna see more. A LOT more...like a map would be nice...and I wouldn't be opposed to seeing some nipples at some point.

Developer, if you're reading this, you've got something crazy and magical and special. Please keep at it. For only a dollar, Lovely Fox is well worth the cost of admission for the laughs alone.

Lovely Fox is a very simple game, I believe that with some updates the game can become much better, and sexier too maybe.
I hope updates come out soon, and then the full version, so maybe I can do a more decent review too.

Edit: About the model used in the photos, you could use it in Lovely? or maybe just add an option to change to it, it just looks much better than the default model, this game has potential, don't give up on it.

Oh, Lovely. You walk like an exotic dancer, and you clomp around like one too, making more noise than a Clydesdale as you scamper around the map. But you have those cute little fox feet and when you swim I see those paw pads! So a whole .49 cents USD well spent.

OK, you have an uncanny valley human face, and ginormous boobs, but you are brave. You swim, you run, you fall off of rocks. Controlling you is like steering a tank, but that's OK. You live in a beautiful world. I have no idea what size you are because you are bigger than some flowers and smaller than others, but I'm pretty sure this game is a meme anyhow.

Players will be able to have you break vases and find naughty pics inside. Well, not really naughty since you aren't anatomically correct, but naughty enough for you. You at least do a dance that makes flowers grow. Which makes those clomping platform shoe sounds finally make sense.

Note to dev: I agree with another review, can you make the dang platforming skippable? I lack depth perception and after a while it just wasn't funny watching Lovely fall off of things.

This review was made based on an Early Access product (v1.4b), so some of these points may not apply to future versions of the game.

Over two years ago, this game popped on up Steam as "Coming Soon". At the time, Steam didn't allow much in the way of Mature Content offerings, let alone ones slanted toward "furries". So I Wishlisted it, but the game never seemed to go live. Today, I found the game showing up in my Wishlist Sales page, "released" just a few weeks ago into Early Access. The reviews didn't look good, but I had to give it a spin.

One of the first surprising things is that the game looks very similar to 2018 videos and shots adverting the game. Like it was abandoned for some time, and only recently returned to. As for the game itself? It's not... completely terrible, but there's a lot of clashing elements, graphical bugs, strange art design, clunky gameplay, etc.

You can't not talk about the main character design. She's a naked human-faced fox woman with a waifish body and massive jiggling (sometimes vibrating) boobs. But you might be surprised that other than a single "dance" and some suggestive dialogue, the game is pretty PG so far. I've seen some furry media like this before, so it doesn't surprise me too much. But if you're looking for straight-up Adult Content, you actually won't find much here. The closest comparison might be Haydee, but I wouldn't go that far.

The character models could use some freshening up for 2021, especially the hair. Many of the NPCs look even more awkward than Lovely, with the same humanish faces and odd proportions. There's also something strange going on with the scale, where the player seems a bit too small for the world she lives in. It doesn't appear intentional, but it means fences, signs, and even basic foliage tower over her head.

You're on linear quest, set in an open map, requiring you to run long distances to get from one task to the next, and then back just as far. At first the game indicates your next quest point via a distant "sparkle", which it never actually tells you about and can be obscured by the steep hills. Then it randomly starts using properly labeled "Waypoints". Then it stops again. Then it starts again. This might be part of the Early Access nature, but I'll address that. Sometimes it's really unclear where to go next, or what to do. The map is way too big for what's going on so far. It's nice to have design space for future quests, but I suspect most of this square footage will go unused, so the long runs only eat up play time. A labeled map on the pause screen with the player's position marked would also help a lot.

Most of this is tolerable enough, very slow-paced, until you awkwardly scale up a town building, and are teleported to another realm. The sequence that follows is cute, but the gameplay is awkward platforming across small floating rocks. On a good run it'll only take about 30 seconds to complete, but for all the runs that come before that, you'll slide off because Lovely refused to jump, or the camera view was hard to judge, or the rock rotated just a bit too much, and then you get to make the slow trek all the way back to the initial rock, awkwardly clamber on, and start over again. I'm no stranger to 3D platforming, but it took me a solid 15 minutes to complete this single sequence. I got close to beating it several times before then, but none of my progress mattered once I slipped off. I'm sure the developer can do it very easily, but these controls aren't made for pinpoint platforming, and I'd greatly recommend this part be simplified. (Even better, if it's been more than a few minutes, offer an alternate way to continue for those that don't want to keep trying to Get Over It.)

After that's done, you walk off the platform, and wake up the next day. There are some cute additional touches to her room I won't spoil, but otherwise it plays out the same way. One more fetch quest running long distances across the empty map, and as you're faced with a foreshadowed foe... text slowly crawls on-screen warning you the Early Access content has ended.

Obvious caveat: This game is Early Access, but there's a lot of things that should've been fixed before the game appeared for sale on Steam. Examples: The game can't decide if you interact with posted notes and other things via the E key, Mouse Click (requiring you to click on the dialogue box), or if they just activate when you get close by. There seems to be no controller support. There's a fair number of graphical bugs, such as in the intro where Lovely has two sets of eyelashes while she's sleeping, or large blocks of environmental shadows flickering across the hills. Then there's the Waypoint inconsistency mentioned before, sometimes not even appearing at all. I don't intend to ramble off a list of nitpicks for a game in Early Access, but there's a lot that needs fixing before you should consider paying for this, even if you're a thirsty furry. I'm willing to revisit this review if things improve. But despite being in the oven for two years, the game definitely needs more time to bake.

It has potential, somehow. Is it worth the price? I guess. There needs to be a settings option, as the mouse sensitivity and FOV can be annoying for some.

The gameplay. The gameplay is, okay, at best. Occasionally, there's markers showing you where to go, but you'll be wondering around aimlessly, a lot. No map either. A lot of issues with collision. You can walk into certain objects and end up standing on top of them (things which should part of the decoration), but other things can be clipped through as if they didn't exist.

Now, there are some good things. As odd as they are, the character models are unique, and don't look bad. They're not great, but they're not bad, at all. Although, some more effort on the hair would be nice. A few bald-looking spots on the back of the main character's head from certain angles. The animations are quite good as well, although the 'dance' was weird. Wasn't expecting that.

All in all, a bad game, but could become a good game with a little bit more time and effort. Like I said, I suppose it is worth the small price.

But no really, this game isn't great by any form of the word, and it would be overly generous to say its even remotely good. I mean lets be real here, if your here, you are either like me and seen it, clicked it because it looks so strange, and then you pay $1 USD for it and find you could have spent that on a McChicken and been more satisfied, or you will once you buy this. Or on the more likely hand, your a horny 13 year old that hasn't figured out that breasts on a woman isn't her reproductive organs yet. On a more technical level, in short, graphics are amateur, the story is strange, the physics are horrid, and it has a progression that makes you want to perish in a pit. The graphics clip constantly, Lovly herself has breasts that have a mind of there own, the entire town has too much plastic in there blood and really, yeah, I'm kinkshaming the devs here.
All in all, I do not recommend this game at all, not unless your a horny teenager who stole there moms card and wants to get grounded. If that is you however, there are cheaper and better ways to get that PP of yours hard my friend, this just isn't recommendable.

I mean it's only a dollar and I got a few laughs at the hypnotic odd swaying that dwells within. My twitch stream audience enjoyed how weird it is as well. Try it out and support the truly unique side of steam.

Lovely fox is a lovely game i do love the look of the fox you play as ^^ the game play need a little work on but it is very relaxing game to play
