Latest and biggest game from series graphic and mechanics stays similiar I like how I could buy/sell things just from map I didnt have to "travel" to location. What I didnt like that game was too trivial because resources respawns too often killed the only difficulty this game had.

I've played Hero of the Kingdom 1-3 and Lost Tales 1-3,
completing all achievements, and this installment is by far my favorite

The addition of respawnable resources makes a huge difference. While it can be a bit grindy, it’s much more relaxing and stress-free, knowing that resources won’t run out. Unlike the previous games, I never felt stuck or pressured to constantly decide which resources to sell or save.

The overall experience feels much more chill, and I truly hope the developers bring back this respawning resource feature in future titles!

Hero of the Kingdom III is, like its predecessors, a special little game.
It's a cozy point and click adventure game.

The story is ok.
The gameplay nothing too special but overall good.
You have to solve some puzzles and quests.
In order to do this, you have to search for certain tools and resources
and manage your overall items.

It's a perfect game if you want a cozy afternoon.
You can easily play it with only your mouse.


It is good, butt is lacking behind the two games before.
Firstly, it is way too grindy.
Second, the story is a little bit boring this time.
The earthquake visions are getting annoying after some time.

The achievements are somewhat easy to obtain, most of them you will automatically obtain while
following the story.
Some of them are really grindy and time-consuming to obtain.

Playtime: ~ 8 hours

HoTKIII is the best of this series of games in which a plain country boy becomes the one hero who can vanquish the game's evildoers. It has many areas to explore and in which to accomplish a variety of quests. A player accumulates resources and then prepares their own food and potions, and makes their own weapons. There are several levels of skills in which to improve one's abilities. Obstacles to be overcome include an apparent lack of ability on the part of anyone who crafts weapons and cookpots, whether it is NPCs or the player themselves. These items break a lot, often at inconvenient times. The player faces situations that can vary from game to game. For instance, some games, it seems it is not difficult at all to accumulate gold; in other games, it takes a lot of time to accumulate the gold required to complete a quest or make enough food, potions, and weapons. Combat is simplistic, and the player always wins. The game is therefore not going to please high-level combat junkies. This game is recommended for young children and granny-gamers like me. My grandson enjoyed this series of games when he was a youngster.

Awesome game

Another in the series, I had lots of fun, which was the goal! I like the fact that I can play casually, but it is very addicting once you're into it.

Grindo of the Grindom III: The Grindening

I'm sorry $1.50 was still too much for this game. The idea of combat in this game I get but, the way its implemented you don't know where to go and all it is, is a point and click yep I can do that .. Nope I cant do that... Sorry there is no progress of structure.. If you are 5 years old... This is the perfect game for you.

Opposite to the first two games this one is very, very grindy.
This wouldn't be too bad, but I also managed to somehow grind the wrong things so now I have no hearts to grind food, no food to restore hearts and no money to buy food and the other gajillion things you need for every single fight.
But I guess it doesn't matter since all I would do with these things is grind more fights to get at least some food and some money to start the next fight where I must hope for rewards that at least balance the grind/reward ratio.
Much weaker than the cute and fun first two games.

Hero of the Kingdom II

How did I end up finding and playing this nice chillout game?
I was looking for something to play with my son.
This seemed to be a nice adventure game, where you explore various locations, listen to people and their troubles, complete simple quests, go into a dungeon or two and eventually become a hero and save a kingdom. It seemed like playing a fairytale for kids.


And it delivers exactly that.
I think it is a nice game for kids and will write about it as such. You never see your avatar, you are instead looking on the map and clicking on things that can be interacted with. That invokes a unique action based on the type of object. You get a text describing a situation, conversation… Art style tries to imitate drawing from a fairytale book. The map really looks like a rendered drawing on a parchment. Color palette favors bright tones, but caves and dungeons are exactly as they should be. Locations are various, filled with details to spot and click upon, collecting mushrooms, eggs…, spotting half covered crates, chests, pearls near the shore. Kids will get their exploration dopamin. Will care about country people, will help them with little troubles and will get renown and access to more troubling quests. Some involve fighting. But that is done in a very sensitive way. On the map, among other things, there's only a moving drawing of the creature and when engaged, your weapon's image will appear on top of the creature and will strike it 3 times. Dust will appear after each blow, the creature will make a sound and disappear from the map. No blood. The only thing my boy was sad about was hunting animals. Again there is a picture of an animal on map, when engaged arrows start to appear pointed to the animal with a woosh sound. Again they make a sound, disappear, no blood.
You learn various talents. Everything has some form of achievement. Kids love those things, they feel rewarded for their effort and it works here well.

Story is inspired by a Slovak fairytale called “Popolvar”. Involves a princess that was swayed by beauty of precious stone, thinking that ancient evil that produced it couldn’t certainly be so vile. She was wrong and ends up freeing him and dooming the entire kingdom to Earthquakers wrath. Our hero will start getting visions that will enable him to see what needs to be done to save the kingdom and princess.

As the developers were doing more of these games, later titles became more user friendly. I remember that in the first game HotK1 you could spend a resource you would need for later quest, but here is nothing of that sort. You are free to use common resources as required by your play style.

I will recommend it but the experience is not good.
Definitely a great upgrade but too much useless clicking that make the game too bulky, where some fighting requirement/ingredients is too much.
Thus, this make me to just finish the game to move on with life.
