Great fun, though the later rounds depend on luck as much as skill.
XXX patch is working. A while back it was disabled due to steam policy wording or something.
Match 4.
Matches of a color affect the character of that color.
Green heals everyone.
Purple gives attacking character xp if I remember right, and arrows give to whole party.
Character on right attacks. You can swap the attacker each round. You will need to to do so as they get hit in the attacker slot and often can't do damage because of crowd control or debuffs or whatever. Characters in 1st two slots still get xp for matches made with their color, they just don't do damage.
I like the artwork. The game is passable. The sound is ok. It's a very simple game.
An addictive match-three game with sexy zombie strippers. As you advance through the city you unlock stripper selfies. Cool little mechanics work well together to create tense matches: you have three survivors at your disposal each one is activated by a specific stone colour on the board but the kicker is that only the survivor in front of the group (the rightmost position) attacks when activated by a match. This leads to actually interesting choices between levelling up, healing or repositioning to attack. Excellent match-three gameplay with varying mechanics and a gallery with some nice art this is definitely worth it. Not only that but you should consider getting the Season Pass for the DLCs which add new missions and mechanics.
Make sure you follow these instructions to enable the uncensored gallery!
Not a big fan. Some of the mechanics are cheap in that you can't attack until certain requirements are met. Definitely can't call it a "fun" game.
I gave up on stage 4 and regret buying the bundle. Is it a good game? Maybe? I didn't know what to do as there are no clear written instructions just a bunch of pictures. Basically it's a match 3 vs zombies with all the symbols doing something different but unsure which. There's a damage and a healing but when you're on stage 4 and there's 3 zombies that can regenerate health and you there's not any damage symbols on the screen to match, what do you do? Sure, let me just match 3 and level up my characters, make them stronger but when you can't attack it's pointless. A guide talks about grinding but you can't replay previous levels (not at my point anyway) so don't know what they're on about and to 'kill other zombies if one has a weapon' but they rotate automatically so you only ever fight one and the others stand in the background unable to damage or be damaged. Also talks about switching your attacker but while you have a 'squad' of 3 you only do damage as one, not even sure why the other two really exist to be honest. If you want to try and work the game out, go ahead but it's a no from me. It's not a terrible game just has unclear instructions and maybe I'll go back to it and try again and change this review.
I really enjoyed most of this game. The major reason I can't recommend this is because of the Squad DLC. It's basically a slot machine because there is so much luck involved. You need 4-of-a-kind for everything in order to be effective. It's not a challenge, it's just unfair and frustrating.
So if you stay away from the Squad DLC it's a fun puzzler.
For now this review is based on just the main game and fanbook (part of the Season Pass content) as I haven't tried Dead Souls yet...bought this on sale after finishing the free version, it's a much bigger version with roughly 50 stages and, if you buy the fanbook, plenty of concept and development art & sketches too. And naked (mostly topless) zombie girls to fight (the nude patch is included in the files), but there's also strategy as you control multiple characters. There's not much of a tutorial so you have to figure out a few things on your own. Like some of the developer's other titles here I suggest trying the free version before buying this full game, but it's an overall good and unique Match 3 effort even if you're not much into zombies (I personally am not).
I'll edit this review after I eventually try the other season pass content (Dead Souls).
Edit: The additional DLC (Dead Souls & Squad) add more challenging gameplay variations, in the former you only have 2 characters to fight with, in the latter you have 4 and multiple attack/support roles but also must deal with more attacks. Both add a bit of replay value and are worth trying, buy the Season Pass to get a better deal.
I say this with the utmost seriousness. This is a good game.
The free version is well worth the gameplay and will whet your appetite for more.
Boobs aside, the gameplay is very well thought out. It's turn-based with a very unique gameplay, reminiscent of Puzzle Quest, but with a full party. There's a variety of different enemies that require some serious strategy to get past. For a game with no words, it's brilliant. There's no storyline. It's just a number of levels that carry you from one to the next, some harder than before, some easier. The style mirrors the occurrences of a real zombie apocalypse. You don't really know where you're going, but you need to fight to get there. The art is simple, the design is simple, and it really isn't as luck-based as you'd expect a match-3 RPG to be. Overall, as a game, it definitely exceeded my expectations. As good porn, you best look elsewhere.
Gameplay is mindless fun. I like it. But it gave me issues with the steam client (A LOT of lag in client loading, download speeds..) after installing it, which got resolved when I unisntalled it. The reason I made the connection was that the client had bugged several times earlier when I started downloading updates of XXZ. So I recommend the game if you like this kind of games .. but I won't reinstall my game due to the issues I had. I really don't know if there's issues with the software or if some other weird coincident made my system react to it. I actually want to play it now. But I won't.
Despite what negative reviews say - the game is really easy, but boring and repetitive. I finished the main game under 5 hours. The Dark Souls dlc is even more boring and poorly designed than the main game.
I paid 1$ for the main game and it’s actually a good price to check out a good idea that was ruined by the absence of developer’s imagination.
I'm also giving it a positive review because 18+ games should stay in steam.
If tomorrow the end of Humanity comes, where will you flee in search of refuge? Right! It is here where there are many girls and few men! And then you are alone surrounded by a crowd of hungry girls who look at you and want you and only you! Stop! Stop! It seems these GIRLS are ZOMBIE GIRLS !! And however, what a difference! They 're still beautiful girls;) and, since the only man here is you, then your task is not only to survive, but to give a seed for a new Humanity! If you are too shy to buy it now, then just take the free version of the game http://store.steampowered.com/app/692920 and do not forget to read my review for it) And if you are brave enough, plunge into this wonderful game, where there will be only you and these delightful ZOMBIE GIRLS, WHICH WANT YOU!
10/10 Zombie Girls next to you!
Good match 3 game, nice twist... zombie boobs on completion of levels, what's not to like? Later levels are frustrating but not impossible, if you find yourself struggling with them try nursing earlier levels for bonus character levels, or switching your lead character :)
I'm not going to recommend this game because it just didn't do it for me. It's not for everyone, but that doesn't mean it's a bad game - I really could have used some story.
If you're considering this game, definitely try out the free version first to see if it is your kind of game. The in-game tutorial is a bit confusing, so do yourself a favor and do some google searching. There's actually a great deal of info/explanation on the steam discussion pages and that will help out a lot.
All of this notwithstanding, there's a surprising amount of depth and strategy to the gameplay. You can think of it as a turn-based RPG that plays out through match-3 mechanics. You'll want to switch around your characters' order (in the base game, only the player on the far right does any damage and the zoms will only attack that character), plan out your moves to make use of cascades and multi-actions, and try to manipulate the opponent's forces.
One last thought...those zoms with the fire axes...so frustrating.
XXZ:XXL is fun and addictive. There is always one more game. Before I knew it, I have stayed up the whole night trading hits with zombies. Cold bodies keep me up all night!
PS. Beautiful artwork by the way. Very tastefully done. Cheers.
Ok, XXZ: XXL is a match 3 type game. You have to make a line of 3 (or more) blocks to destroy them and make damage, your goal is to defeat the zombie girls.
You control a team of 3 humans (2 girls and 1 guy), each one with differents stats (HP, Power etc), as you play, your stats will increase, there is also 5 types of blocks. Green to give you HP, Pink to give you xp (which will make your stats, like damage and hp increase when you level up) Red to attack with the Red character, Blue to attack with the Blue character and Brown to attack with the Brown character, only 1 human can attack and make damage per turn, so you have to make strategies and decide whats better to win.
I played a lot of match 3 games, on PC and on my Android Tablet, this one is one of my favorites, and not only because of the sexy zombies (and naked girls :P), but because this is different of the other type of Match 3 games i seen out there, which is awesome.
Right now, there is 50 levels avaliable and hopefully more will be added soon, Dev looks to be very active too.
The price right now, i belive is kinda high (for me at least), and thats the reason i didnt bought it when it came out, i bought it on sale, but i TOTALLY recommend this game!
Here is a gameplay of the first minutes of the game:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ohiGwaqFttc
This is an interesting slow-paced match-3 game set in an apocalyptic Z infested world.
You gotta match carefully your tiles and manage the placement of your three characters at each turn.
They gain XP by finishing the levels and matching arrows, they attack and remove debuffs when matching their color tiles and they regain their health (unless they are affected by some concussion) by matching heart tiles.
You have to complete a few sets of level with a team of characters, 50 on total currently, divided into 4 parts (each parts makes your party goes back to level 1).
Different kind of enemies makes their apparition levels after levels, and they are bearing different kind of weapons that will affect your party in different ways.
Unrelated to the gameplay, at the end of each levels you are rewarded with a picture of a (most of the time) naked girl posing in front of a mirror with her smartphone (the kind of pictures you can find on social medias like Instagram or Snapchat). Girls that were too busy picturing their body they turned into zombies, with as only trace of their living past these carnal photos.
I give this game a decent recommandation :)
XXZ:XXL is another quality addition to the adult puzzler genre. While I am going to focus on the negative points, don't get me wrong this is worth full price.
Essentially this is a match-3 (or more) game where you fight waves of zombie chicks. There are several questionable design decisions, though. First is the tutorial screens. I think they were aiming for 'elegant' and simple instructions, but it's more of a puzzle in itself. I still don't understand everything they are trying to tell me. Okay after spending some time learning the actual combat game system, I feel there were a lot of arbitrary decisions made that just really don't follow any kind of logic; this is fine, but just needs to be stated.
I also think the whole thing suffers from just being too small. And I'm not necessarily complaining about game length here per-se. The reward artwork is great and quite varied, but the zombies you fight are repetitve. So are the sound effects. So is the strategy, come to think of it.
Pros:
+Another totally solid addition to the adult puzzler genre
+It's worth full price
+Artwork is unique and quite good
+New content is still rolling out for free
Cons:
-Somewhat of an arbitrary game mechanic system is in place
-Tutorial failed pretty hard for us
-Other than the reward artwork there is a ton of repitition (sound effects, strategy, zombie artwork)
You will finish this in about a day, but it's worth full price.
What interested me in this game was the art tbh. Then I realized it was a match 3 type game and had to give it a try. After trying out the free version i instantly fell in love with the gameplay. Took a little at first to figure out what i had to do in the free version but once i figured it all out it was amazing, so i just HAD to buy this one. It's exactly like the free game just with more levels. I took my time and tried to enjoy the game as much as possible but unfortunately i beat it and that was that.
When asked by friends how i felt about the game i told them how much i loved it, and how saddened i was when i beat it. I praised it alot, that they as well decided to play the free version, they enjoyed it enough to also purchase this version. Even a friend who wasn't a fan of match 3 games enjoyed it alot. The point is it's honestly a unique game.
My only complaint is i wish there was even more levels, I beat it to quick :| . I'm hoping more free lvls are added in sometime. Also I do wish there was some cutscenes in the game though, after beating a level or maybe an intro cutscene. The game can be a bit... quiet.
Nude zombies or no nude zombies I say get this game. Very easy to 100% achievements as well, for those achievement hunters out there. Eager for some trading cards to be added in the game. (fingers crossed)
A very tactical Match 3 game. Only your furthest to the right character can attack. So, you need to decide which character will give you the best options based on the current board layout. Just as you put you best character at the front, so do the Zombies!
The Zombies heal when not attacking. That means you can do a ton of damage to a Zombie, they get flipped to the back, and they finally return fully healed. If you can do damage fast enough, you can knock them all down. You can also build up for a 5 match attack for three damage shots and just take one out.
The Zombies aren't sitting still. They have different attacks, and they can stun the lead character. If you're building up the board for a big strike, you need to stay alive in the mean time. If one character dies, it's back to the start.
I found the game very challenging as far as Match 3 games go. The Zombie theme adds some cool atmosphere and visuals. The unlocked selfie pics are just a quirky bonus. Try XXZ basic for free to see if you like first.
It's a basic match 3 game, but there's some additional rpg and tactical elements involved. You have 3 players and you need to rotate them into the frontline position before matching to do damage, but you also need to rotate out to avoid taking damage since each character has it's own hp bar. It's a bit challenging at the start, since there's no tutorial, but it's fun once you figure out the mechanics and get the hang of the combat.
There's an uncensored patch if you want the full goodies.
