I really love this game and I love it more after mulling about the true ending more and more. I will keep it vague here but basically, you need to kind of understand eastern values and philosophy are different from western ones. then that ending is truly the one that makes most sense. It makes it so unique and definitely a memorable experience. Love the variety of endings overall, the little choices you make that matter. Game is so fun, it's tough to come by something this thought-provoking for me ngl. Played this years ago but I'm still thinking about it.
It's 2025 and the game has STILL major bugs. The only solution for a specific bug is to start a New Game. Very annoying - I won't continue to play because all my progress is lost now and it doesn't make fun like this.
Good story but buggy mess, Don't buy unless on sale
I remember getting this game 7 years ago during my VN craze after finishing Danganronpa, looking for the next best thing until V3 came around. This game was actually a fun ride, it had a gripping story and I had really gotten invested until I had gotten stuck in a certain area. I spent like an thirty minutes trying to see if I was missing something. It turned out it was a glitch. I looked online and the devs basically said they patched it, but there's no way around the glitch. Basically we'd have to restart our game. I come around 7 years later thinking about reinstalling it, and it appears the game is still an unbearable buggy mess. Kinda sad. Wasted potential.
We need Chinese. Now with AI translation, localizing Chinese is easy. All you need to do is to wait for the AI translation, and then use a native Chinese speaker to do some checking and touching up of the AI-translated text. In this case, the cost of just localizing the text is very low. That's all we need.
A amazing detective story where you follow the Detective Itō Ayami and make choices which determine what may happen in the story.
The endings are fun and some are quite difficult and its fun to see what differences each choice may make to your story as Itō Ayami.
I suggest this game especially when its on offer allot!
This is one of the worst ports I've ever tried to run and that includes other lazy Square Enix PC ports.
The game has a few glitches here and there, but it's playable. The gameplay and the concept of the SPIN system are very interesting and enjoyable. The story is very deep and dark, with almost only bad endings. I recommend to buy on sale!

In my opinion this is a game that's only worth to buy during sale. Overall it's an interesting experience and I don't have any complaints about the story or gameplay, plus I really love the music, art and atmosphere. I genuinely enjoyed playing this, I think it's beautifully done but wish that the game was a bit longer, since due to lack of gameplay/puzzles I believe that at least the story could've been more extensive.
However, as MANY people have already mentioned, this game unfortunately suffers from technical issues. For me there were luckily only occasional minor bugs, which mainly caused the textbox and character sprites to look messy for a few moments, one time my game also got stuck on one location (it was impossible to click anything) but I solved it by simply going to the main menu and loading the game again.
Yet other players have reported major bugs that fully prevented them from proceeding with the game at all and apparently the devs even stopped responding to those reports so it's assumable that they've abandoned this project by now. I think it's also unknown what exactly causes those game-breaking bugs and why it only affects certain players, so get the game on your own risk lol.
